Increase in pooing

Phoebe used to poo once a day but over the past few days she has been going 4-5 times a day and i'm not sure if this is normal. She has a cold but its coming to the end now and i'm beginning to think she might have picked up a stomach bug as its really not like her to go this many times.

Any ideas?

Hiya
Chloe was exactly the same last week she usually goes once or twice a day but last week was going 4 or 5 times and it was runnier than usual - sorry if TMI.
She had a bunged up nose aswell but apart from that she was her happy usual self and didn't seem to have a stomach ache or anything.
I was going to phone docs this morning and take her for appointment but since Saturday night she has more or less gone back to normal so I have no idea.
Sorry can't help more just wanted u to know ur not alone
Only other idea was maybe its teething as I read they can have diarreah [spelt wrongly I know] when teething
Good luck :-)

My mum mentioned today that it might be teething, I have noticed over the past few days her dribbling has become much worse and she is pulling at her gums.

Yep it must be teething Chloe was screaming today for ages and i couldn't soothe her eventually I put a little Calgel onto her dummy and it was like a miracle, she stopped more or less straight away and started smiling - its the first time i've used it too.
I see our babies are only 2 days apart so i'm sure it must be the same for both of us :-)

Whats calgel? I have never seen that before. Phoebe woke at 6am this morning and was really oulling at her teeth, I went to put her dummy in and she nearly bit my hand off!

So far we have only had to contend with one poo today!

Yes she has the most she is eating from each bottle is 3-4oz during the day, she just tends to chomp on the teat. Feeding during the day has become really had work.

Same here Chloe tastes it then screams and pulls a face like i'm trying to feed her wee or something - spoke to HV today when I got her weighed and she said the teet might be hurting her teeth not sure if there is any way to resolve that though!!!!

alys fussed with her feeds aswell, hitting the bottle and so on and munches on the teat but the health visitor told me that because there's an increase in suliver (sp) they swallow alot and can make there pooh's more frequent and maybe even runnier.
