Baby proofing help

I dont know if anyone can help but we have a large TV stand which is made up of 3 shelves of glass.

Jake has just started crawling and has already slipped and head butted this.

Im obviously watching him and making sure he stays away from it but im so worried he will get near it and really hurt himself by slipping and hitting his head on it.

Does anyone know of a guard or anything i can get to just make it a little safer just incase?

The only thing I can think of is one of those metal fire guards that could go round it, or one of thoss metal play pens that can be used as room dividers/barriers. Otherwise could you fashion some sort of foam (maybe like pipe lagging foam) and stick it to the shelves?

We also have a glass thing, Im swapping it for a 'lack' table from Ikea when B starts moving around - then will put those soft thingys on the corners.
My brother fell thru a glass table when we were young and I dont want to risk it.

Yeah, we have a babydan playpen which we use as a fire guard and TV guard. I couldn't leave the room otherwise!
