zach s suffering really bad with colic now. 3hr periods of constant screaming in the evening. poor lil man. We were using infacol until 1 month old and have now switched to gripe water. it doesnt seem to be doing anything.

what did you find to be the best colic remedy?

Yeah I'm having the same problems with my Niamh. We have been using Infacol too but it doesn't seem to be working for her, and she has been crying in the evenings again for the last week.

My cousin came over recently and I mentioned this to her, and she said that infacol had worked on her first 2 children but not her third. She suggested something called Colief and said it was brilliant for her LO. Its quite pricey at £10 but it worked straight away.

I'm trying Niamh on this today. I really really hope this works otherwise my sanity might be packing up and buggering off!!!

Hope Zach feels better soon!

You can try massage too. Use flat hands on baby's stomach moving clockwise (never the other way) from 8 o'clock to 4 o'clock. This can help move the wind through. You can also follow the same pattern using two or three fingers in little circles.

just so you know if you see your doctor and ask for colief on prescription he will give it to you it will save you loads of money as my brothers daughter suffered with colic really bad too and someone told them about colief and they got it of the doc and she was fine after a few drops of that

hope this helps

we used dr brown bottles, and colief, found the infacol made him worse
we changed the brand of gripe water from the woodwards one to the nurse harveys one (i had a new baby after that)

some gps wont perscribe colief, if yours wont if you are bottle feeding get them to perscribe you some lactose free milk, because thats all the colief does is remove it.

Gripe Water doesnt work for us, infacol proved much better, a colleague of my mums suggested an old remedy called dill water, have searched the lenght and breath of London pharmacies and still cannot find this, people have heard of it but dont stock, if you find it, let us know... good luck.
