I used size 1 for 4 weeks then size 2 for 3. Then I bought a huge load of sizes 3s and now use cloth. Size 3 is prob the one you would use the longest.

I would be careful with stocking up too much because you just dont know what shape/size your baby will be.

I was trying to work this out yesterday night using her little red book. If she stays on track, I need 9 boxes of size 3's at 60 in a box.

Any surplus I have I will just give to my mate.

I too have cloth nappies to go on to, but she does so many really dirty nappies a day and stuff takes about 3 days to dry in our flat hanging up so we would have like, no nappies clean after 2 days. So I am in 2 minds about it.

i brought about 350 size 1 nappies
she was in them for about 2/3 weeks

ended up giving about 40 away ...

then i put her in size 2's because it
was easier as you can buy bigger packs

and now she's in size 3's because i
can buy boxes!!

depends on the baby too ... how fast they
gain weight and what not i'd buy about
a months worth 10-12 ish a day and take
it from there

xx

i brought a variety of them, in difference sizes, so then i could find what me and maddi preferred, i think i had a pack of sainsburys, a huggies new born starter kit and about 3 box's of pampers, it was quite enough! as we much preferred pampers at the time, we actually prefer huggies now x

We are still in size 1's and his almost 8weeks old and is now 10lbs9 and the "limit" is 11lbs but our little one is long in his weight and going to make them last till they are to small, we properly have had over 300 size 1's.. and ive brought 300 size 2's..

As to what type, I have used Huggies 1 bad experience, Pampers 1 bad experience, Tesco 1 bad experience lol so expensive napies and tesco nappies all did as well as each other lol

ive been lucky before kyle was born i found a lady selling brand new packs on huggie's size 1's for £2 per pack and a few weeks ago found a lady selling 12packs of brand new tesco nappies for £10

I've got a couple of packs of Huggies that I got because of free gifts etc but Bethanie could/can only wear Pampers, so im not stocking up on one particular brand too much. I will buy a few Pampers and see how they go.

i got one pack of pampers newborn from boots to get the free change bag (baby club voucher) and one pack of asda (only used 2-3 from pack as we didnt like these).
that was sufficient for the first few days when i sent OH to get more. we were given loads of free nappies from the bounty lady in the hospital (prob about 20 nappies)

I've brought a pack of pampers, pack of huggies, pack of boots own, and pack of nature babycare, that way I can see which ones are best with baby as I know the only ones that didn't leak on Indie were pampers until when she was walking (11 months) and now we use tesco's own. All the others leaked.
Those will last a while and by which point I hope to be able to go to the shops/into town to buy more. I was back to shopping within a week last time lol.
