i took alys to the doctors, my gp is a walk in one so i didnt need an appointment, i think you should take her to your doctors as if it is thrush he can prescribe the medicine!

hope it clears soon

If you have problems getting a prescription (I did - had to keep going back as they kept telling me it was milk residue when I and everyone else was convinced it wasn't) you can buy Daktarin Oral Gel from Boots without a prescription. Its about a fiver, but be careful that you get the oral gel because there is also a Daktarin for athletes foot! Not sure that would be so tasty lol!!

The pack says not to give to infants under 4 months because it is quite thick and sticky and they may choke on it, but it was prescribed for Ethan at 4weeks. We have just been giving it to him little bits at a time and rubbing it on his tongue (not too far back) to make sure he doesn't choke. When we run out of this tube if it hasn't cleared I will just buy it in Boots rather than arguing with the GP again!

Also - if you are Breast Feeding make sure you don't get transferred thrush to your nipples, I hear this can be quite painful. You may need to ask the GP if you need anything for yourself too. x
