I wouldn't rush out and buy the magic balm - it's not that magic, he has me up 3 times last night
I am so dejected, I really thought he had cracked it
Oh well, at least I know he can do it, so I may be tempted to leave him a bit longer when he wakes up now - see if he can settle himself.

Aww, bless hun. Oliver suddenly started sleeping through too. Did you try hin in just his sleeping bag again last night?
I found that I was leaping up to every sound, then when I let him grumble for a bit, sometimes he would go back to sleep. At least if he doesn't, you know that he really wants you and isn't just shouting!!!

well amelia slept from 7am had a dreamfeed at 11pm and although she woke briefly at 4.30 and 5am she put herself back to sleep without me needing to go in - then woke up as bright as a button at 5.30 am......very early, but does that count as sleeping through? I kinda thought it just applied when they have stayed asleep ALL night without waking atall?

That's pretty good! I would consider Thomas to be sleeping through when he goes down at 7.30 and I don't need to go in to him until 6am at the earliest - would love him to do 12 hours though! Might feel human for the first time in 9 months!

I would if that was then up, i gave liam weatabix last night felt he was only waking because he was hungry so going to keep on top of that! hmm i would still class it as sleeping all night if they settle themselves everybody at some point will wake up through the night i do all the time

He did it again last night after a couple of nights of waking up, and I've realised that the 2 nights he has managed to sleep through coincide with him having no afternoon nap at all. He has 2-3 hours in the morning (today it was 3 hours) and then nothing until bedtime. I am going to do the same thing today and see what happens tonight. He did wake briefly at 11.45 last night but naughty Mummy was reading and hadn't got off to sleep yet anyway! Then nothing until he woke at 7am.
