Get this dvd, it gives some really helpful tips on how to calm babies.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...pf_rd_i=468294

Also I shall here is a message I jist posted on how to help with wind.
I found that you lay your baby on his/her stomach for about 30 seconds to a minute, turn him/her on their back then pump the legs upwards towards the chest about 10 times. I then put the him over my shoulder so his arms hang over my back then rub the bottom half of his back. Usually he burps if not i sit him on his bum and lean him forwards holding the chin up and rubbing the back or patting quite strongly.

You can just try a combo of this until one works (sometimes he farts whilst pumping his leg, lol)

There are loads of things on the market for colic and i think its just trial and error in finding what works for your baby. There is various colic drops/remedies (colief, infacol, gripe water, dentinox) and anti colic bottles like Dr Browns ans tommee tippee do their own version too. They are expensive but i did have some success with them although they are fiddely and hard to clean.

I also agree that the rubbing of the tummy helps and certain winding techniques too. My LO seems much more settled now at 8 weeks old. We tried just about everything and settled on the tommee tippee anti colic bottles and infacol. Good luck xx

Swaddling really seemed to help my friend's colicy baby (heck it even helped my non-colic baby to fall asleep when she was fussy). The Swaddle Me blanket is great because it has velcro and is a good shape.
