cradlecap

Leo has developed slight cradle cap and although Ive seen special shampoos etc that claim to get rid, is it really worth it do you think, and do they work? If its going to go on its own then Id rather not use any chemicals on his head.
Anybody got any advice?

I used to bath Josh every night and using shampoo. Even though it was baby stuff it still got dry!

I just shampoo 2/3 nights a week now and its gone. Failing that i was gonna get the detinox stuff cos its meant to be good x

My little girl had bad cradle cap and I tried various shampoos but none seemed to work for us. The best thing I tried was rubbing a little olive oil into her scalp,a bit messy but definatly made a differance and its all natural so you dont have to worry about any harsh chemicals.x

We use Dentinox cradle cap shampoo. If you look at the ingredients it is just sodium laureth sulphate which is in almost all shampoos, shower gels etc. I figure it's just a basic shampoo. Anyway, we started using it when the cradle cap first started an Byron's head was getting a little smelly. It cleared up in no time and we have used it ever since with no real recurrence of cradle cap. Right now as it's so hot and sweaty he has a little starting again so we will go back to the two-washes treatment for a few days to clear it up again. It also smells lovely! I know others in my baby groups who have tried olive oil but they used it for weeks, months even, with little improvement.

We use Dentinox too and it works a treat. Ellis has loads of hair and it's over an inch long so it looked really greasy when I used Olive Oil.

Olive oil or baby oil/gel rubbed in, left overnight and then brush gently but repetatively with a soft baby brush....it all comes off like erm "snow". Then wash baby's hair as usual, you may have to repeat it more than once over a weeks duration
