airport security with babys bottles??


hi iam going on holiday tomorrow night and as its a night flight 10.30pm josh will be really tiered and i was planning on giving him a bottle of milk to help getting him to sleep.

how do i go about going through security with the powder and water what will they do with it ??

They make you taste it....get a ready made carton instead:thumpup:

We just had the water ready with the powder measured in those little dispenser things, so they made us taste the water but was no probs.

thats a great idea never thought of that i was gonn take a bottle of water and the despenser with the powder in it might give this a try

they dont make you try this do they they are so strict these days xx

Just a thought - they won't make you open the carton and taste it would they as it is ove 100mls?

What I did was take bottled water and just tasted it, they knew what the powder was and that wasn't a problem so that way I could give him what he was use to and mix it up when I was ready.

That's what I did too...the problem with the ready made cartons is that you have to open and taste them (if they're over 100ml) so they're not sterile x

They didn't make me open jars and formula cartons when I went on hols last time with a toddler....depends on who you get I suppose

My SIL got her cartons taken off her.... she had to buy them once through security! So I did that too...!

I took cartons and water with seperate powder (7 hour flight) and they didnt make me taste it they just put it through x-ray x
