Has anyone used Lactulose?

I was reccomended Lactulose to help my LO with his constipation. It's worked rather too well and today he's done 3 really sloppy poo's as oppose to one really hard one every 3 days!
I think I've probably given him a bit too much and am going to cut it back to once a day.

I was just wondering what other peoples experiences with Lactulose are? Has it helped or not and have you found any bad sides to it?

Thanks

Can you buy it from the chemist? I've tried everything else short of going to doc...

I gave it to Katie last week a few times. It has got her going again - I just used 5ml at night and then she was still in pain and the doctor said to give her another 5ml and then it worked

The MW gave me this when I was a bit bunged up after I'd had Thomas. It did work, but boy was it disgusting! Soooo sweet - yuck!
