Dummies!!!!!

Hi ladies
Wrote a thread a while back about Lo spitting her dummy out all night and waking and crying, so we went dummy free on a night. In terms of waking and crying its stll working. HOWEVER her index finger on the hand she puts in her mouth is red-raw, cos she using that to suck on.

So do we go back to dummys? or leave her to try and gum her finger off?

Do any of you ladies use a different shape/size/brand of dummy on a night, because it stays in better?
Anything you can recomend?

at that age it is really hard to get any of them to stay in I think. We've had the same problems with Hannah's hands and were advised to just keep them clean and washed down, we also put a bit of vaseline on at night but she still has her dummy so she sucks that instead of her hands....
