I started going to a baby club at my local children's centre when ally was 12 or so wks. But they have proper newborns go too. Do you have a children's centre nearby? When ally was younger I also did baby massage there. And then we went to a group for sitting babies and now we go to a group for crawlers

I've been going to one since Lily was about 5 months old, would have gone sooner but I lived in the middle of nowhere before! Mainly all the mums sit down while the babies play and we chat and stuff. I go to one at a childrens center run by the ymca, its totally free which is great too. The centre also run baby signing, baby yoga courses too!

iv ben going to a couple for a few weeks now.

we go to Bumps and babies on a Tues morning, for babies under 6 months,
Music for 3 months to walking on a Wed afternoon and
Buggyfit for postnatal mummies on a Friday morning (more for me though!!lol)

the hardest part is walking into the room the first time I think, but after that its kinda ok.

good luck!! xx

Every area does different sort of groups. I have a young mums one here thats run by connexions workers and do allsorts of great stuff for kids, days out for free, help with money situations and getting back into work ect. See if there is anything like that near you. Also have another mum and baby group for any age and we just sit around and chat, have lunch, let the babies play ect.

We've got loads in our area from surestart and connexions. My HV keeps trying to get me to go to them to help me but Im abit reluctant for most of them but I start baby massage on tuesday Hoping it'l help me get over my 'going out the house' fear and help Tylers colic
Ask your HV they should be able to give you information.

We dont have them here, well not English speaking anyway, so I never took RC anywhere with other babies until recently. I decided to make my own and put out an advert for other English speaking mums in our area, its a hit and we meet all together when we can but mostly a two or three of us at a time with the kids.

Its great for RC and great for me to get a decent conversation.

I only wish I had done it when RC was a lot younger.
