Teeth brushing..

Anyone else has a toddler/baby who screams down the house and close their lips shut when it's time to brush their teeth?

It happens a lot now, it used to be so easy, but he just hates it now. I've ran out of ideas to distract him (even that doesn't always work)

Tips please?

Landon and Casen went through that, luckily not Hayden..yet. But with the other 2 we let them play with the toothbrush and "brush" their own teeth first then real quick went over it and then gave the brush back for them to play some more. Made it a longer process but more peaceful one lol

i do get phases of that from time to time, i try not to push it too far as this just makes him hate it more next time. so when he makes too much fuss and distracting him / making a game of it dosnt work i just let it be and try again in the morning.
i brought my son an extra toothbrush so he can "brush them" too, while im doing it as he kept trying to steal the one i was using on him. this seems to have made it easier along with holding him infront of the mirror while brushing so he can see himself in it.

if all else fails you could try a fruity toothpaste, although ive no doubt he'd rather eat it than let you brush his teeth with it atleast his mouth will open

could your lo be teething/ have sore gums may be the reason ?

So far not really. I hold Brenn while brushing my teeth and sing a silly song
'brush-a brush-a brush-a
with your little tooth brush
brush-a brush-a brush-a
it's so healthy for your teeth'

then I brush his, and hand him the brush and let him have a go at it.

Yes, we have an awful time getting the toothbrush into Valerie's mouth. It's fine when we're not scrubbing, but the minute I start brushing, she freaks out. So we do the song thing too and I let her watch me brush my teeth everytime, too. So far, it's working a little bit better. I guess just try and make it a fun time, instead of a stressful/painful time. IYKWIM?

What about 1 brush in his hand and 1 in yours and he can do it too?

A step up to the sink himself you behind him and Mummy brushes her teeth?

Caitlin thankfully likes her teeth brushed but shes been biting down recently so I can't move it
