pushchair

hope i have posted this in the right place?

just after a bit of advice. i have the m&p's skate and although it is brill it is very heavy and i am now looking for a lightweight pram to be able to throw in the car when ever i need to without having to struggle with the skate as it is very heavy. i have seen the quinny zapp in mothercare at 100.00 and i have a voucher to use aswell. cant afford it really but i thought for 100 quid minus the money i have on the gift card it would work out to be a bargain.

i dunno wether to wait longer as jacob is nearly 3 month and i know the zapp is for 6m+ as i dont want to buy it now and regret it later when i see a better one? the one in mothercare is colbat blue and looking on the net i think they are stopping doing it so if i wait i wouldnt be able to get that colour.

oh decisions...

thanks x

Hi hun

Not sure what to advise but I wondered as you are near to me, if you might like to test some prams for the M&B I'm testing 4 and I need to get some more mum's and dad's to have each of them for a week and get their opinions - would you be interested??

I'm getting 4 in a range of prices

They might be more than you are wanting to pay but maybe playing with them will give you a better idea of what you want from a pram when he hits 6 months??

PM me if you fancy it

Think I'm gonna get the Zapp for Amelie to chuck in the car as the Buzz is a pain in the neck to fold and dismantle! Good for long walks though. We were also looking at the M&P Nipi, think my mum is going to buy that one.

the zapp doesn't lay back and i've heard this is a problem for mums even when child is older...

we've bought the maclaren quest sport in charcoal and silver (on mothercare website for £125 with free delivery) as it's suitable for 3 months plus and is lightweight

it arrived yesterday and seems like a great stroller at a great price! yes the next model up (the techno XT) is even better however it's also £75 more which we couldn't afford and the Quest does everything we need, is very light, very compact when folded and easy to operate. i looked up lots of reviews and they were great in the main too

if you go to www.maclarenbaby.com you can see the quest in 3d and get a demo of the different seat positions and so on

Weirdly enough I've never missed not having a recline on my Buzz. Amelie sleeps well sitting up so I dont know what the recline is needed for on an older baby?

well this being my first child (so not having personal experience of the zapp) i'm just going by reviews i've read, but everyone was saying the zapp was great with mobility, lightweight and so on, but i saw probably about a quarter of the reviews mentioned wishing it reclined cos their little ones got grouchy when they wanted to sleep and had to do so sitting up and some of them were for older kiddies (14 months plus)

maybe you have a nice easy to please baby

I had the Quinny Buzz initally and found this to be too heavy, I then got a M&P Luna and it so great, really light and folds all the way back
