Moniter advice

I am gathering a list of things that I will need for when our baby come. I have had 2 other moniters with my son and both have crapped out. I live in the US so I dont know if the brands would be different or not.

Any of you love your monitors? HELP

I have an Angel care sound and movement monitor - brilliant, but not sure if you can get it in the US?

I have the tomy delux one, its great. It picks up evey little sound. I can even hear him breathing so that's reasuring.

Only thing is i can also hear the birds outside which can be a little annoying at 4 in the morning lol
