Whats more important, breastmilk or going out?

If the options are baby getting breastmilk, or baby being taken out regularly, which is better, and why?

So either:
A) Baby stays in the house with Mum almost all the time (1-3 outings a month) and has breastmilk

B) Baby goes out with Mum most days, and has formula

Does it depend on the age of baby?

Baby is fed expressed breastmilk, so most of the day is spent expressing. No-one to help with baby or housework, so no time to do anything but basic essentials.

Oh. How come you only express? That sounds very time consuming.

i totally get where you are coming from with this post.....

when i first had ali he wouldn't latch on, was in neonatal unit straight after birth due to various reasons....due to not latching on and being totally zonked for the first 5 days of his life my only option was to express breast milk......very time consuming....but i wanted him to get my milk.

in the end i stopped, i wasn't going out, wasn't seeing anyone and was rather lonley.....so i chose to stop expressing milk when ali was almost 8 weeks old.

when ali was sleeping all i did was express, nothing got done around the house, i was tired so i chose to go out i guess????? best choice for me as i really perked up when i got out amongst other mummies...

You could try combination feeding to free yourself up a little bit. It must be miserable being indoors all the time.

from what i understand the baby doesn't latch on (very similar situation to what i was in) so most of her day is just spent expressing milk and this is very time consuming so perhaps lonliness/tiredness is taking over.....am i right hun?
