I would choose FF thats my opinion

It must be extremly hard to be stuck at home constantly , remember a happy mum = a happy baby

Totally up to you , just remember formula does the same job as breastmilk, fills there tums and makes them content! As long as your happy with whatever suits you best thats all that matters

It's entirely your choice hon. However, it's good for you and baby to get outdoors.

How often are you expressing ? I know it must be hard as not only have you got the time expressing you have to add on the feeding to so I can see how that takes up a lot of time.

I bf and express and if im taking Lucas out for the afternoon then I make sure everything is ready to go right after one of his feeds and either make sure im back for next feed or have a bottle of ebm with me.

Do you have a mothercare in the town you live (or going to) they have a room in most stores that you can feed baby in so you could express in there if you want to stay out longer.

Maybe you could introduce a ff in the daytime so you can go out easily and then keep expressing and build up a supply from the feed you have dropped ?

It must be a really hard decision to make

TBH, in your situation I would switch to FF... Given your PND an rocky grounds with your husband, I dont think your doing yourself (or your baby) any favors by being stuck in your house alone... Eventually you will get lonely... Expressing is so much harder then normal breastfeeding, or normal bottle feeding. Your baby has had an excellent start, and there is nothing wrong with formula.

JMO... you need to do what you feel is best for you and your family.

I also agree with everyone who has said it is healthy and essential for your baby to get out and get fresh air, and also to interact with other babies.

Have you talked to anyone about meds to help increase lactation? Maybe that would decrease the amount of time you express and allow you to supplement with formula without losing your milk supply. I'm on motilium (nova-domperidone) and it's done the trick for me. Might be worth checking out as a third option?

I think you need to keep in mind that you are still very early on with breastfeeding/pumping. While it does take alot of time to pump, it gets better the longer you do it, you will start getting more if you stay with a routine on pumping. As you do it longer and get better with it you will probably be able to get more in a shorter amount of time as well. Then you can start freezing it and stocking up a bit more so when you are out you can bring a bottle and it will be ok to miss one pumping session. If it were me I would keep it up awhile longer and see how things go. You can still go to lunch with a friend, get out of the house, go shopping for an hour or 2 after you pump at home, even just going for a walk to get out of the house. Good luck with whatever you decide though
