my poorly boy :(:(

Had to rush harry to the doctors today, i took him to a private hospital rather the the general hospital where I've been going since i was pregnant.
Harry was almost choking when i was feeding him, he seemed phlemy.
well i found out my poor baby has a fractured coller bone from birth, he has a infection in his belly button and now hes also bunged up with mucus and taking medicine

when i went to the hospital i asked about all these things and the doctor just said it was colic and he was fine!!!! i feel like such a failure as mum and so angry with the general hospital

dont feel like a failure as a mum - sue the doctor who didn't look hard enough and put it down to colic

Aww hun, you're not a failure. Rough for little Harry to go through all that, and for you as well. So maddening that the general hospital didn't catch those things, but now you know that problems, and things will get better from here on in.

I had never heard of the collar bone thing until a lady told me about it in line when I was buying formula! That must be absolutely awful for both you and baby to be going through. Hope he's feeling better really quickly, and shame on the doctor for blaming it all on colic!! Here they seem to be reluctant to say "oh it's colic"... so it's surprising for me to hear a doctor saying "yes it's colic"!!

omg i cant believe they didnt pick up on it! dont feel like a bad mum, with a newborn its hard to know whats going on, esoecially if you're being fobbed off by the docs! i see you're in cyprus - i was born in akrotiri!
