Sleep bags/ Gro bags..?

Hey ladies, im not a mum yet but i have a question and i just thought some of you may be able to help.

im one week overdue so baby could be here anytime haha, and i was planning on using those gro-bags that you put them in to sleep. Not yet obviously but when she fits into them.

my question is... i know that when you cover up a new born/baby in a blanket your supposed to put them at the bottom of the cot so the cant get underneath the blankets. Does this mean with a gro bag you can place them at the top of the cot, because they cant kick them off or bury themselves underneath?

hope you can understand what im trying to ask, if not just say and ill try to explain haha..

sorry if it sounds stupid but i couldn't help wondering and i dont wanna put my baby at risk of anything!

Thanks in advance x x

My midwife said if you put them in a growbag and there is room at the feet to tuck it under them and place baby at bottom of crib/cot as usual.

Also I think because they have like a vest sleeve top(cant describe it sorry!) it means baby wont dissapear into it as they are fastened in by the shoulder and head.

i have just started using a baby sleeping/grobag with my lo and ive been putting him at the top of his cot. it doesnt really matter with these as they cant suffocate themselves, but with blankets etc obv you need to put baby in the feet to foot position x
