In our area (Cambridge) the health visitors run a post natal group where they teach about stuff like resusitation, baby massage, oral health etc which were when the babies were about 2 months old. This was great because when they finished, we still decided to meet up in each other's homes every 2 weeks and the babies are 13 months now.

Your HV should inform you if there are any groups and invite you, if not the GP should be able to tell you if there are any groups in the area run by the NHS. x

I'd look in to the Sure Start Centre in your area.

We did around 8 weeks. We have been going to playgroup session, AJ is one of the youngest there, it goes up to nursery age. I like how he gets to mix with LO's of different ages.
We've also been to baby massage through SS and were going to swimming classes too!

you don't have to be a member of the nct to go to a bumps and babes club - they just ask for a small donation towards teas and coffees - the ones round here are really good.
