Elyse sucks on everything but her pacifier!!

Like the title says.. she sucks on the corners of her blankets, her hands, my hands, my shirt, my arms/whatever body part her face is near (chest, cheek

)... but not her soother!!

Can anyone explain why she's doing this all of a sudden? She seems to do it even more when she's excited or upset.. I guess that's to calm herself down? But if she wakes up from a nap and she's in her crib/playpen being quiet just peeking her eyes open when I go to check up on her I catch her sucking on stuff too.. out of boredom maybe? I explored hunger as a reason but she won't take the bottle usually...

LeeAnne did that for a week at one point. She decided the soother wasnt cool anymore but then after a week thought that soothers were back in style! She would such on anything and everything BUT her paci! I think she did it out of comfort. You could just keep trying to plop the soother in when shes sucking on a blanket or something.

Blanket sucking is an alright habit to have. I used to when I was younger x

My friend's son does it too but he's teething.. I don't mind it I was just confused as to why she'd be doing it if she's not teething? I guess it's not really a problem I'm just curious as to why all of a sudden lol
