Olive oil for dry skin?

Maisie has got really dry skin and the midwife today suggested we use olive oil instead of baby oil/lotions because it's all natural ingredients.

Is it best to massage it into her body with our hands or soak it in cotton wool and rub it on her?

x

I was told this for salim who had very dry skin but it didnt work. The HV then prescribed a cream called Double base and that cleared it up totally within 2 days.

We've been massaging it straight on and it's been working a treat. We were told to make sure we use extra virgin

Yeah I would just rub it in, I would do it once, maybe twice a day. You can also try cetaphil cream lotion...it's awesome, my boys have eczema and severly dry skin and that works best for them.

I also use to put some in her bath water. I use to rub the oil into my hands and then straight on. It was Lexies legs that were dry so i use to do it each time i changed her nappy. xx
