8 month check.

has everyone had one?

joshua's just over 8 months and i havnt heard a thing.

we moved house in december and i should of had a new HV.
my old HV said she has sent all my details and file to this new HV and she will get intouch with me.

i havnt and now im thinking we are gonna miss out on our 8 month check up.

how do i get an 8 month check up?

I have been told Chloe will have her 8 month check at 11 months

ali is almost 9 months and he never had one and it hasn't been mentioned to me either by my HV. in fact i never see the HV unless i take him to get weighed. i would like him to hae one but it seems to vary where you live etc

I had a phone call this morning saying that Lewis's 9 month check was due next week. I wonder why the age of the checks differs??

Anyway his is not being done at the docs surgery by the usual HV but at a baby clinic by a lady I've never heard of !!!

the last time i saw my old HV which would of been in december.
she said to me that she will be writing me a letter for my 8 month check when joshua was about 6 months old.
but we got a new HV and she hasnt bothered to get in touch.

i dont want joshua to miss out on a check just because the HV is lazy and cant be bothered to write us a letter.

the baby clinic is at the toddler group in the village i live in every month but we dont go because ie walked up there twice and no one turns up to open the doors.
ill have to call my old HV and se what she says.

the only thing is the HV is never in her office to answer the phone
