S.O.S! (or save MY soul at least!)

At what point do you let them just cry? How do you do the cry it out thing? I feel like a bad mom but she's been non-stop screaming for going on 2 hours. She won't take a bottle or even any tylenol...its defintely her teeth but I have no idea what to do for her. I can't go get any teething swabs or anything with her like this

aww hun i don't really know what to suggest, Amelia is properly teething yet. Will she settle with just a cuddle and you finger or something else to munch on?

Personally i prefer not to leave Amelia to cry as she gets herself soo worked up and then won't sleep well at night. I find that the less she cries the better she sleeps and generally the less she cries....iykwim

Don't even contemplate that you are a bad mom, you are not! Its so hard looking after a baby and they are all soo soo different and no-one gives you a manual on what they need and when.

Is she eating solids? maybe something cool to eat might help, like a baby yoghurt or something?

Sorry i can't help much.

Did your tylenol come with a dropper? I usually hold Jasmine with her entire head/body flat and drop the tylenol in as far as I can... And use some teethimg gel... I found the tylenol wont work without the gel and vice-versa.

If she is in pain because of the teeth she wont stop crying. I know it sucks I listened to Jasmine SCREAM for 3 hours straight on Satureday.... And shes been moaning and screaming all day today too.

try getting a face cloth , drench in in water and stick in the freezer ..then give it to her to munch on ..it works for me all the time ..

other then that put some music on to drown out the cries lol

I could have posted this exact same question last night - fed, clean, nighttime routine, teething powder, cuddles, caressing...nothing worked! After all of this I set myself a time limit of 15 minutes of not going in and then I would have to go up and get him up and cuddle/soothe him- it was breaking my heart. Thank goodness that after 10 he was so tired he fell asleep...

If it is teething she won't be crying it out

I know how you feel, because Lola was whinging for 3 hours total yesterday because of the stupid teeth!

What did you give her for it? You can try a frozen carrot for her to bite on or a frozen cloth?
