Success on 2nd/3rd IVF etc?

Hello lovely ladies! We are on cycle 2 of IVF for unexplained infertility after a failed round in sep 2011. The cycle was very up and down with a slightly poor response and my bowel getting in the way of one ovary on EC day!

We had 100% fertilisation and 2 transferred on day 2 but sadly bfn....

Was hard to deal with but I'm in a much better place now and tweaking a few things for this round inc increase in stimms meds as new clinic think my amh is bit low (17 on uk scale) although previous clinic didn't?!

Anyway, I know there are a lot of people who don't get lucky first time but I keep seeing so many ivf 1 success stories it makes you wonder what could be different this time?!

Would love to hear some success stories after failed ivf or buddies for round 2? I think a lot of this is confidence which was majorly knocked last year.

hun, so sorry to hear about your cycle last year hun

I'm afraid I'm not a success yet however hope to soon be we have IVF with ICSI as DH has azoospermia we had our first in 2008

2nd 2009 which was

but chemical so mc at 4+6 and we care about to start round 3 short protocol af due on wed so hoping to start stimms on thurs. Where are you in you cycle? sending you lots & lots of

Thanks hun and sorry to hear about your first 2 cycles but, as hard as it must have been, it must be positive that you got a bfp last time? Wishing you all the luck for round 3-I know plenty of people get them on round 2,3 etc but I just can't help wondering what will change? Generally I'm pretty positive this time though.

I'm down regging at mo *groan* prob wont be stimming for another couple of weeks at least but be great to keep in touch! x

I'm a 2nd round ivf success story. I read through the ivf success thread a million times and only read the 2nd/3rd time successes...it made me feel so much better. Don't give up!

Thanks Hun-as I was going through them it seemed a lot were lucky first time, especially with unexplained! Even though I have been told most don't succeed first time-just trying to keep up the pma and congrats to you, you must be I over the moon x
