BDing after Trigger Shot???

Hi All

Just a quickie, have also asked in TTC but wanted to try and get as manay opinions as possible.

I am currently on my 3rd cycle of clomid (100mg days 2-6).

On Wednesday (CD12) I had an ultrasound that showed 1 follicle at 22mm, that same morning I was given the hcg trigger shot for the first time as previous cycles following a MC I have not been ovulating properly (CD21 bloods showing low progesterone).

I am just wondering though, firstly how likely is it that I will ovulate now I have been given the trigger?

And how long and often should we now BD to ensure we have caught the egg. So far we DTD wednesday evening and thursday evening. Not sure should we carry on every night or is it best every other, and when do you think it would be ok to slow it down?

Thanks all xx

You will ovulate 36-40 hours after the trigger is given so it safe to say the day of trigger and the next day and wouldn't hurt the 3rd day just because the egg lives up to 24 hours after it is released.

I was monitored the first 2 times I took the trigger and the first one I ovulated sometime after 36 hours. The second time I was right at 36 hours because when I went in to do the IUI I was in the process of ovulating. Goodluck to you!!!

There is no harm in BDing every day, so long as you don't have any male factor issues.

Get to it!

Most people will ovulate about 36 hours post trigger.

I however, ovulated at least 60 hours post trigger, (yes, I know, my body is weird. Apparently, it doesn't like the trigger bossing it around, lol).

I would keep it up for several days after trigger.

Are you temping? That's really the best way to tell. I always try to get the day of the temp rise and sometimes the next day as well, just to be sure.
