NHS IVF to begin in Feb 12.

Hi Guys.

We have unexplained infertility and have been TTC for the passed 3 years give or take. We have just come to the top of the w/list with our local PCT in Croydon UK and will be starting our first and only chance on the NHS in February some time. This month we go through what they call a mock cycle.

Had my introduction to IVF cycle meeting a few days ago and it has thrown the whole thing into stark reality, now feeling a bit anxious.

If anyone else is about to start down this road - would you like to buddy-up?

Also if anyone has any pearls of wisdom, they would be greatly received!!

Hi

Sorry for this reply being a bit on the late side. Have had a hectic few days.

We have completed 1 set of consent papers, have to do a second set during the cycle about use of embryo tissue etc.

Am now patiently waiting for my visitor (secretly hoping it wont arrive, so we don't have to face the IVF), so that the ball will start rolling. It sounds as though we will be starting our DR very close together so it would be good to keep in touch.

Am feeling a bit more chilled out now I have had time to process all the information. How are you feeling?
