How big should follicles be on CD9?

Hi, I took 100 mg clomid cd2-6 (maybe 3-7 since I am not sure if what got countedas spotting was actually day 1). I had an ultra sound today which my doc is calling cd8 (2 days after clomid). Had two follicles on the left and more on the right but only two were measured. The biggest was 8.8 mm. My lining was 4.5mm thick. I go back for another u/s on Friday. The doctor seemed pretty pessimistic about this cycle. Any input?

This depends on what day you typically ovulate. The day of ovulation for insemination etc. they like the follicles to be between 20-25 mm and the lining to be around 10. The follicles grow around 1-2 mm a day.
