Spire Edinburgh/ IVF Scotland anyone???

Looking for ladies who are going/ have been to the Spire IVF Scotland clinic in Edinburgh?

we've just started with this clinic but before we start treatment for IUI I wondered if there was anyone out there who had been?

Nurses seem lovely so far, Dr a little odd but that may usual?!

Hello!

I'm going to spire, we had a failed ICSI cycle in December and will be trying again prob march time.

Nurses are lovely and I'm assuming you've met dr thong?! He is good, he's head of the reproductive team there and at ERI I believe! He is very honest but dies have a dry sense of humour too! Even though my cycle failed I have 100% faith in the team.

Good luck with your iui, sure it's going to be a success!

Thanks for responding so quickly & nice to know that I'm not the only patient!!

No it wasn't Dr Thong, we saw another male Dr but that was just for the initial appointment. It seems like we'll be getting Dr Thong for the IUI treatment which is good as yes I had heard he is the main specialist at ERI.

Have you found them ok getting appointments & things?

No worries, it's always good to chat with folk who know the drill so to speak!

When we initially started our treatment it was supposed to be Oct but when it got closer to the time we were told it had to be pushed to Nov which was annoying. I didn't get a period in November which was even worse!! Once started though a was good. I did find that in the morning when we went in for scans the wait c

Sorry, trigger finger!

We did have to wait around for a bit at times when in for scans which was awkward Shen I was needing to get to work but the staff were very proficient when you saw them.

I'm back on Tuesday for my follow up, was supposed to be Friday but was pushed out. So fingers crossed that goes ok and there are some positive plans for our next round.

Thanks - its good to know. They did mention something about sometimes Dr Thong running late for scans, and IVF egg collection/ implants clearly take the priority which I completely understand. But must be so frustrating to get pushed back!

I have told my work yet as they wont be that understanding, so going to see what happens.

Hope all goes well at the follow up
