... but by being induced I cant help thinking I have missed out on something!! I was so looking forward to the exciting... "its starting" thing!! Calling my OH at work etc... grabbing the bags... Talking to you girls on Bnb!!

Was also looking forward to having some contractions at home and feeling comfortable etc in the early stages!!

I know shes here well and safe but a part of me feels a bit sad that I missed that stuff :(

Definitely!!

My MW said future pregnancies of mine will probably have consultant led care because of this brisk reflex thing & bp!!

I'll so end up being induced again!!!

yes, i agree, feel like i missed out on something huge. I still want to know what it feels like for your waters to go, I cant remember when my contractions started and there was something unnerving about being in a room with 2 other women i didnt know when it all started. its put me off having another baby

I totally missed out on the whole labour thing, I did get the waters breaking and the whole OMG it is happening now but that was it, I then had an emergency c-section!!! I think this is why I didnt bond with Dec for about 5 weeks, I felt like it wasnt my baby because he was just whipped out and then taken away (I had probs. during surgery). But I least I got the experience with Dan.

LOL With my first, I thought the same thing!

Then I got to go naturally.

2 weeks of prodromal labor (decent contractions coming and going). My water broke in my bed (what a mess), and I go to have almost 30 hours of intense posterior labor.

Apart from rolling over and telling my DH "Its' a GO!" and him having no clue, it was all pretty much exactly the same.

I'd still choose to go naturally, but my body does not labor efficiently. I always need pit, and I tried to have #2 minus both, but ended up needing pit. Tried minus the epidural but I would only recommend that if you are a glutton for punishment.

Out of the 30 hours I had epidural 45 minutes.

:dohh:

Ive heard from people that the induction labor also hurts a loooot more than natural. I had contractions that made me cry and scream bloody hell, and they were just miniscule bumps on the monitor. So Id love to feel natural labor next time out.

I really really want a natural labour next...but it has to start before 40 wks or else apparently I'll just have to have another c-section. I've told OH I want a 7lb girl next time who knows how to position herself! My contractions were so close together and really painful from the off, I'd quite like it if they built up and subsided and stuff like it says they will in books! I'd also like to feel the baby come out (hopefully of my lady bits) rather than just having them forced out of a hole in my tummy!

Same here! The 5 days in hospital was totally crappy too. I'd like to go into labour naturally, preferably after having had a nice big poo!

Is that too much to ask?? lol
