YAY!!! Okay, so, obviously I am republican and I do not want this to turn into a political debate but John McCain just chose Alaska's governor for his VP candidate! Woot!!!

Sarah Palin is a freaking FANTASTIC governor and she deserves to move up but everyone here in Alaska will be sad to see her leave us if they win!

Just had to be happy!!!

:wohoo:

Hahaha, Cheryl! I feel so loved.

It is funny because even in Anchorage, Alaska definitely has a "we love our home team" type of attitude so people are just flipping out. (Well, the republicans at least.) But honestly, even our Democrats love Palin so we shall see! :headspin:

That was pretty smart thinking on McCain's part. It's not so easy to dismiss the republican choice as more of the old boy's club now.
I agree - it will be a very interesting race.
Way more interesting than the election that will likely be called in Canada in the next week.
We have three really uninspiring white men to choose from. Four if you count the separatists.
The Green Party leader is great, but they won't even let her debate.
We'll just have to live our election excitement vicariously through the USA.:)

Are you kidding me? I just spent the last 4 days glued the to TV watching the Democratic Convention. And I'll probably spend the next little while glued to the TV watching John McCain. Canadian Politics? Who cares. I know that's horrible, I'm a Poli Sci student. But...in all honesty, Americans have much better politics than we do.

That being said, I don't care who gets in there as long as it isn't Mr. Freaking Stephen Harper once again. I love Dion though because he reminds me of this cute little old man with the french accent ;) Oh wait now...
