hi girls
my dh and i have a 2 week holiday booked to greece and italy
when we go i will be 91/2 weeks.
do you think that this will be safe?
i should have my scan then when i get back - although i am thinking of doing a private scan before i go - just to check all is ok.

this holiday will involve about 4 flights and lots of ferry journeys - i am worried that i will put the baby at risk

thanks for reading

I went to Egypt wen i was 9+ weeks but i'd had a scan before i went...If your worried just check with the midwife first about flying but i'm sure its only towards the end that you cant fly xxx

I believe you are ok to fly, i think it is more safety when in resort i.e tummy bugs etc.

im flying at end of this week and il be 8 weeks but still staying in england as going to london.

I went to California at 10 weeks. My MW advised to wear DVT socks and I asked for an aisle seat near the loo in case of sickness.

You'll be fine and the time to relax will do you good!

You are fine to fly in 1st tri...
I think it is more physchological that anything...I was pg with my ds and he was fine...
When you are on hol be careful of ice in drinks...theres nothing wrong with it but they don't make the ice with mineral water they use tap water and it can upset your tummy. I would say be careful of salads 'cos they wash it in tap water too..the food is fine over there. I lived in Greece for 5 years and the food is much better than here!!!
Have a lovely holiday!!

Hiya hun, i'm going to Canada in 2 weeks and i'll be 8+3. I asked my consultant if its ok to fly and he said there shouldnt be a problem as long as you drink plenty of water and wear flight socks and move about frequently. We have also paid alot of money and we need this holiday so i'm going for an early scan the day before we go. I've already had 2 scans!

Enjoy your hols! :happydance:
