Breastfeeding and periods

Ok so my LOis 3 months now and ive been breast feeding him and supplimenting with formula ..IVe only breast fed him about 5 times per day now im cutting it down to 3 ..

I got my period 6 weeks after i hade my c-section and it lasted 1 week ..then got it again 1 week after ..

Now i havent gotten it back now what so ever not even a cramp to say " im still there" its kinda of scaring me ! is this normal

I had a c-section too but not seen hide nor hair of one.
Im BF and bottle top ups.
My bleeding lasted 6 weeks so whether i had a period at the end of that and didnt notice im not sure but the blood was that light brownish type so i dont think so sorry TMI.

Well im proud to say that after i wrote this post I got my period lol ironic huh !!

and best thing is the cramps I used to ahve were killers now these cramps i can deal with whoohoo

my doc said today that if i'm bfing 6 times a day or more I "should" be covered contraceptive wise....maybe my periods should keep at bay while we're bfing lots?
