shooting pains in uterus

I get loads of sharp shooting pains in my uterus on and off. I have also had period pains since giving birth and no period yet. I think i can feel my uterus up to belly button too...hasnt it supposed to have shrunk by now? My last MW said it hadnt shrunk as much as it should have, but that was ages ago. Oh, and i only bled for a few days after giving birth, if that is relevant.

I have my six week check on monday, but does anyone know anything about this?

Im still getting those pains now and I haven't had a period yet either. Although at my check the Dr said my uterus had gone back to the size it should have.

I got those pains up until I got my 2nd AF ..then they went away !

My uteruswas still quite high also but thats due my c-section it took a lil longer to go back to normal

i'm not sure exactly where your pains are, but for the last few days I've been getting sporadic pains where I'd imagine an ovary to be. It is really shooting and hurts!!

A friend told me she had the same after her c section for about 3 months. She thought she had appendix troubles - its the same place as my pains.

Anyway, maybe this is entirely different to yours? I've my appointment next week so will ask my doc.
