Anyone here around 5 weeks pregnant? I am 5.2 weeks pregnant and have cramps. they subsided today and I don't have a UTI. The reason I tested for pregnancy was because of the cramps because I only get them this long when I am pregnant, but I can't remember how harsh they were or how long I had them in one day. They are a tad uncomfy sometimes.. I guess I want some sort of reassurance everything is ok. Eventhough this is my fourth baby*hopes* I still have questions sometimes.

Hi,

I think a lot of women agree they are normal stretching pains. Remember that your womb starts off about the size of a plum and by week 8 it's already the size of a grapefruit. Considering that, it's surprising that we all aren't in agony in the early stages!! Years ago I wasn't aware that women had AF cramps in pregnancy so it seems abnormal when it happens to you, it's only when you read forums that you realise that most women get them and they can last all through the first trimester. I still have them and I always think "uh oh..." with a brief moment of panic, but I am kind of getting used to them now!

Congrats on your pregnancy :)

I'm 5 weeks 1 day and I've been getting bad cramps and such.
Sometimes it's just a pulling feeling, other times it feels like full blown AF starting up.
I sympathize with you! I feel the pain..lol
Take it easy, hopefully they won't be too horrible for you.

I am 6 weeks tomorrow and I get the same thing as krockwell too. I do think it's amazing that we don't all die of pains when that poor little uterus goes from a plum to a grape fruit. Hang in there hun!

I actually start to worry if I DON'T get some kind of small cramp at least once a day because it has seemed to be the normal thing since I found out I was pregnant in the first place. So if I go a day without having a cramp it's like 'uh oh'. In the beginning I cramped quite a bit but it has seemed to slowly been easing away and I am only 7 weeks today.

Very normal hun .
Allthow every one does worry with them even after 3 babies , A midwife once told me the early stages is not when baby makes most developments but your body does ! .
Your ligaments all start to soften and your uterus expands one hell of alot .
I know its easier said than done , But try not worry .
I hope the pain isnt too bad for you hun . xxxxxxxxxxxx .
