Well... here I am!
Terrified that I am jinxing myself by starting one of these, but at 8 wks (at least according to FF) I'm HOPING I'm almost out of the danger zone... well... as much as one can ever BE out of the danger zone!!!
I've been away on holiday for 3 weeks, just got back into the office today. Can't promise to post as much as I used to for a while at least, I've got three weeks worth of catching up to do!
BUT, thought I'd share my experience so far, starting with 10dpo and my "official" :bfp: ...
10dpo to 6wks3days - not a whole lot happening. Gradual soreness of bbs increasing and that's pretty much it. I'm very proud of the ones I've got now :happydance: - firm and perky and full!! (well... for me they're full anyway!). Lost my daily craving for chocolate, and beer tasted a bit strange but I still took sips of my DH's in the evening :shy: Dodgy belly some days (aren't you meant to be constipated while pg?!?! Its been the COMPLETE opposite for me!!)...
6wks3days to now - for all my not wanting to whinge, a big UGH, BLEURK is all I have to say. Tiredness, and worst of all NAUSEA!  I'm such a baby, but I HATE feeling sick all the time! I seriously wanna cry in the morning, and again after about 4pm. I haven't actually been sick yet (thank God) but sometimes I think it'd be better if I were... I feel like I have a constant lump in my throat and a "floaty" tummy... Just this week I've also started getting headaches, sth I NEVER get. Believe it or not, although my shape has changed, and I've a rounder tummy, I've LOST 5lbs since becoming pg due to the complete cutting out of sweets from my diet. I just DON'T WANT them!!! I'm sure that'll change though... :D
DH is swinging between being a sweetheart (he now says "I love you both" :cloud9:) and being a royal jerk who doesn't understand anything... Partly me being moody I'm sure, but I often get the feeling that he thinks I'm faking it, and he should REALLY know me better as I've the appetite of a horse normally. I simply can't just not eat, unless I really feel horrid. At least the week w/ my parents was full of love and understanding!!!
Well... that's it for now! My first pre-natal appointment is next Tuesday, 19th August at 10am... I'll surely get an early scan since I m/c in March... I'm SO nervous already! What if there's no heartbeat!??! ... Trying to stay positive for now...
Thanks to all for reading, I've missed you all sooooooooo much, will do my very best to catch up in the next coupla days.
p.s. managed to down a 200g "tub" of cottage cheese today at lunch. Its the most I've eaten at lunch in 2 weeks, so pretty proud of myself! :D
Here's to the next 7 months!

Hi Wendy, welcome to the preggo journals!!!:happydance:
I feel your pain with the , I too am feeling nearly constantly nauseaus but haven't been sick yet thank god. And I've also lost 5lbs since finding out I was pg!! Just don't have the appetite I used to - that might change though as I've figured out that constant eating is about the only thing which controls the nausea!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know you better and hope you have a happy and healthy remaining 7 months:hugs:

Good morning everybody!!!
Well, I was VERY VERY horrible last night, but Im' gonna plead ignorance!! I had a WICKED headache, like nearly migraine, and couldn't sleep, was nauseous and even feeling a little fever-y (God I hope I'm not getting sick!!!) so... I took an Advil. There was NO indication on the bottle that you shouldn't take it in pregnancy, honest! I at least looked! Had a cow this morning when I did some research, but most sites say that while its not recommended, its "ok" in the 1st and 2nd tri... just not in the final tri...
I'm being realistic, I don't think ONE Advil will do much harm, but still...  This is what happens when you wait 'til 9 weeks to get your first prenatal apmt!!!
Feel horrible again this morning, am really hoping I'm not getting sick... :( I'm all shivery and have a bit of a sore throat... never a good thing... DH has the runs, so we are a healthy (NOT!) pair at the mo'! its all those plane rides, I'm sure. I always get sick on the plane... TGIF is all I have to say! Gonna run to the pharmacy after and get some acetominophen (I don't think they have the Tylenol brand here, but surely sth similar!) 'cause I can feel the headache coming on again
Am now going to try and fake being hungry - I eat breakfast at work and managed to play down the fact that I wasn't drinking coffee yesterday at least... not sure I can pull it off two days in a row though...
ttfn! :D

I dont think one Advil will be a problem hun. And if it is then worrying wont help any so I'd just forget it babe. When you go to the pharmacy for some headache tablets, have a word with the chemist.
Its bobbins pretending but its probably not a bad thing - if you can stop yourself from getting hungry I found it seemed to keep the  at bay. Thing is its catch 22 coz the last thing you wanna do is stuff your face!!

Howdy all!!
WOW thanks for all your posts ladies!!!
So, like, I'm STILL feeling  Good Lord, when will this end?!?!? I really hate to complain so much but I wasn't quite expecting to feel bad ALL DAY LONG for so long... :shy: *sigh* Ah well.
Today I'm sick 'cause of m/s and sick w/ worry... tomorrow is my first prenatal apmt! As in: my first scan!!!!!!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! I'm terrified! Seriously, like, pitting my shants!!! (Although not literally... the constipation kicked in over the weekend I think... Looooverly...) What if LO isnt' moving? Or isn't there at all?!?!?! I should be 9 weeks tomorrow!!!... (there should be a "panic" smilie...)
Right. Try to relax.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend! I spent mine literally sleeping. and that's IT. I left the office at lunch on Friday, I had my first pg-induced migraine... oh my... I wanted to DIE! But as soon as I slept, it went away. Slept and slept and slept, about 14hrs a day all weekend! DH thought I was about to kick the bucket I think... Good thing I gave him my 'What to expect when you're expecting' to read... kinda relieved him a little to know its normal!!!
Food is still not my friend. Nothing tastes right - EXCEPT I have discovered fruit. More precisely, BERRIES, esp. blackberries and yogurt.... :cloud9: Bliss!!! Sweet and sour and I don't have to chew anything (chewing makes me feel even more ) That'll be nourishment no1 from now on!!!
Alrighty, that's enough of my rambling for now! Gonna check out everyone's journals! Loads of :hugs: to you all!!!

When you're in the thick of MS its like it will NEVER end.......but it does....then, if you're unlucky,it comes back!!! ARRRGGHH!!! I am back in a weird place with food myself - rarely hungry. Hubby and I have just popped into the supermarket for milk and he was asking what I wanted for tea.....I CAN NOT think about it right now....weird.
Sleep is good - do lots of it because if you end up like Free Willy's stunt double (like moi) you wont be getting much in about 20 wks!!!

MORNING all!
HOLY CRAP I'm so nervous...  Can't even think of anything intelligent to write... Not to mention that I am in a HORRID mood this morning, went off at DH jsut before for sth dumb (although he's always a critic in the morning, it drives me nuts at the best of times nevermind when I'm full of pg hormones?!!?!?) and I'm still sitting here seething...
Went to have a little bbq in the woods last night, thank bliss we brought two cars, I was home again by 8.15pm and in bed by 9.30pm... :shy: SAD sack, that's me! REALLY wish this night nausea would ease off. I can handle the morning one so long as I'm not chucking my guts up, but the night one keeps me awake?!?! really annoying... :growlmad:
Right, I'll leave this for now, thanks for all your good luck wishes girlies, I'll post when I get back!!! ... at least, as long as all is well I will... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

NO SCAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did I mention :hissy::hissy::hissy::hissy: !?!?!? aaaaaaaaaaack, I could scream!!!!!!! Stupid receptionist said that she's sure she told me that the first scan would only be at 12wks, but I reminded her that no, she had assured me that given my "history" I would be given an earlier one... Apparently that was not communicated by the doctor and he wouldn't do one!!!!!!!! :hissy::hissy::hissy: SO frustrated and still stressed obviously, 'cause now I won't know if all is well or not until THREE FLIPPIN' WEEKS from now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*sigh*
Well, nothin' I can do now but wait. At least he's given me some Vit B6 for nausea - hope that helps - and took heaps of blood ( I hate that!) for heaps of tests... I should get the results back in a few days, I'm mainly interested in the toxoplasmosis one. Had a cat, so hopefully am immune... hope hope hope...
Next appointment, 12th September at 11.30am.

Hiya ladies!
Thanks everyone for your understanding!! I'm still a bit frustrated, but hey ho what can you do!??! Nuffink.
So, my new best friend(s) are my motion sickness pills!!! Itenol B6. Wow. Goooooooood stuff!! Took one last night at the cinema would you believe - was in the throes of my night nausea while watching Mamma Mia (GREAT film!!! :D). Took about an hour to kick in, but its STILL working this morning! Little me and medication, I NEVER take anything so when I do its got like 150% effectiveness!! Talk about a drugged sleep! But, woke up HUNGRY this morning - not sick, HUNGRY! Have already wolfed down a 20g stick of milk chocy mmmmmhhh, that felt good!!! :D
Just can't imagine taking them during the day - make me FAR too drowsy!!! And since they are like little round orange balls so I don't think I'd be able to half them grrr... Oh well, this way the weight gain mightn't come on too soon... :shy:
DH noticed my bbs this morning! Am wearing a lower cut t-shirt than normal and he goes "Woah! Where did those come from!?!?" Does he otherwise even LOOK at me when we're in bed!??! ugh...
Am now getting up ALL THE TIME, every night, at 3.30am to pee. Its driving me MAD! Last night I was up THREE TIMES!?!? Wonder if LO is positioned near my bladder!?!? would that make a difference already?! I really don't drink THAT much b/f I go to bed, and anyway, aren't you meant to stay hydrated? The doc told me yesterday that my blood was like corn syrup, was I drinking enough... :shy: Yesterday I hadn't had much to drink at all b/f the apmt mind you, was feeling too rough in the morning... Made up for it during the day though... I can't win! :growlmad:
Guess that's it for now ladies! Looking forward to breakfast in about 15min, that's a nice change! :D
:hugs: to you all!!!!

Wow :happydance: for the motion sickness pills, whatever works hon!!! I think I've been quite lucky, it hasn't been that bad for me yet and it's certainly eased this week so who knows what's going on!
You poor thing with getting up during the night, you must be exhausted with it! I think they say there's something to do with the hormones that make us need to go more often in the early stages, I remember reading that somewhere.....
Anyway, hope you have a lovely day!:hugs:

Me again!
Just wanted to proudly post that I went for a run today!!! :happydance:
Ok.. who'm I kidding... I cannot call that a run. I went for an old-lady toddle!!! Honestly, I have the pace of a slug, if that!!! I can't believe my total lack of energy!! I can do in 50 mins what would normally take me... hmm... MAYBE 20 if I took it easy!!! Combination of no energy and bbs that feel like they might FALL OFF from the bouncing... NOW I know why runners have small breasts...!!! :shy:
Anyway, I felt better for moving around a bit, I'm REALLY not used to sitting on my arse all day, but I think that experience just reinforced my conviction to get a gym membership for 6 months. I need a nice low impact elliptical machine or stationary bike workout!!!
Seems the pills have now wore off, feeling a bit queasy again although they lasted all thru the morning this morn! Thats why I got out for a run, 'cause I was FINALLY not nauseous at lunch! That and needing to wash my hair... :shy: Might take one a bit earlier tonight and see how long I last :)
Am going to announce my news to my soccer team tonight. I've not been to single practice in over 6 weeks obviously, what with holidays and being pg. They all KNOW without knowing I'm sure, but since the season starts this weekend, I've decided to officially announce that I wont' be playing this year and why :) Looking forward to it actually, they are a lovely bunch of girls and I know they'll be thrilled for me (us!) :) Fits my "grandma of the team" image!!! :D
Right, enough rambling, I so dont' feel like working can you tell!?!? :shy: Have a nice evening all!!!

Howdy all!
Well... having a weird morning. I woke up from my completely drugged sleep (geez those pills are STRONG!!!) realizing I hadn't been to pee all night... AND my breasts seem less sore, AND I'm not feeling very sick... I'm kinda panicking a bit... Could this be my punishment for telling people BEFORE the 12 week mark!?!?!? To make matters worse I'm crampy this morning. I KNOW it could just be beano stretching everything but in combination w/ everything else I'm freaking...
When does morning sickness normally ease off? I thought i was 12 weeks at the earliest?!?! I'm only 9+2, surely it can't be already going... could it? I mean... as long as everything is ok in there then I welcome it going... but I'm terrified! I'm losing it. WHY ok why could I not get that early scan?!!? I've decided not to take the motion sickness pill tonight and see if I in fact do still get my night nausea... Stupid, but I kinda hope so... I need the reassurance...
On a nicer note, it was lovely to tell my soccer team! :cloud9: A few ran up and hugged me, the rest just stood there with big goofy grins on their faces and clapped :D So much nicer telling Swiss women than Swiss men, what a difference! The women get all squishy and oooh and aaaah, and the men go "Well, that's the end of your life then" ...
Then went home and ate spaghetti and salad - just a little bowl, but boy was I hungry! Stuff still doesn't taste right though, kinda annoying... everything needs salt!!!
Tonight will maybe go to the gym - I have like this 5-at-a-time membership chip with 2 or 3 visits left on it... gonna try the x-trainer and see! Hope I have better luck than you Lu! Not sure how good my sports bras are, I thought pretty decent... guess tonight'll be the test :D
Oki doke, that's all for now folks! Gonna go journal stalk. I'm so NOT productive at work these days... I just can't be arsed. Who cares about work, I'm gonna have a :baby:!!!!

Morning all!
... not sick again... or not badly anyway, NOTHING like the past 4 weeks or so! ... I really dunno what to think... I still have sore bbs, although to me they seem a bit less so, I'm still tired but can't sleep at night, still peeing every 10 mins (or so it seems), still have a funny taste in my mouth, still have NO desire for meat or alcohol, etc etc etc... So I still have pg symptoms, right?!?!?! I'm too shy to call my doc, I'm sure he'll think I'm a giant paranoid freak... and I've read a few places that m/s CAN ease off between 9 and 11 weeks so I'm HOPING I'm just lucky!!! But I'm terrified it means sth horrible... Why do I read about missed miscarriages!?!? WHY!?!?!?
What would you girlies do??
Meanwhile, I ended up eating ANOTHER curry and playing pool w/ my girlfriend last night, no gym for me! A spontaneous evening out, what a novelty in this country!!! will do the gym tonight I guess. DH is away for the weekend  so I'm on my own...
*YAWN* I'm so tired, I was tossing and turning all night, this huge fear of losing bean in the back of my mind - I think I even dreamt about it... I'm a mess...
Gonna go read journals and NOT google anything!!! We'll see how the morning goes...

I think if you want to ring your Dr you should. Who cares what he/she thinks?? It's your baby and your pregnancy and they are your carers.
I was exactly the same at about your stage. Just before I started my preggy journal we were due to go to California for Easter and the week before we went everything just stopped. Now I was bang on 12 weeks when we arrived home so I must have been about 9 wks. My friend had just had a missed mc so I was just like you thinking 'oh great'. I rang the hospital and told them how I felt and that I was going on holiday so they told me to come in and they scanned me. Obviously everything was fine but I dont thnk I'd have believed it had I not seen it with my own eyes.
I am happy to stake this months mortgage payment that your cheese bean is fine but ring them and push for a scan or at least some HCG tests so you can relax a little until 12 wks.
Let me know how you get on. xxx

Aww baby, I'm sorry you are feeling so crappy :hugs:
I had the same worries about having a missed miscarriage, especially as I had no symptoms as such, it was easy to believe that my bean had gone
I think it's made worse by the fact they didn't give you an early scan?? I'm sure that everything will be just fine chicken, I know how you feel and nothing anybody say's at the moment will stop those nasty little thoughts entering your head, just sit tight and look forward to seeing your little baby wriggling around on the screen at your scan.
Thinking of you xxxxxxxxx

Awww hon, I really feel for you, I would tell you not to worry about it but I'm not one to talk! I have to say though, when I went to the doc I was surprised about how lovely and understanding he was and he didn't treat me like a loon at all! Sounds like you still have loads of symptoms but maybe if you wanted to push for a scan just to put your mind at rest, tell them that ALL of your symptoms have disappeared over the last few days and that should do it - a white lie I know but if it gets the result you want then who cares!!!
I was reading in my what to expect when you're expecting book that nearly every woman gets worried about a missed miscarriage but they are extremely rare. The vast majority of miscarriages come with bleeding and cramps and even with missed miscarriages there's meant to be a good bit of brown discharge. Please don't worry hon but if it makes you feel any better just tell white lies and push for that scan.

Have you tried natural ginger for the morning sickness?
Or even a dry biscuit with ginger in it?
I hope it eases soon as I can imagine it could stop you wanting to do all sorts. :friends:

Oh you ladies are loverly!!!
Lisa, THANK YOU. You made me feel much better about taking charge of my own care... and my doc usually is really understanding and helpful, so I dunno WHY I'm suddenly feeling so funny about calling him... *sigh* I just might do that. I haven't decided yet, 'cause I've been reading loads (despite what I said :shy:) and it appears that between 9-10 weeks it is pretty common for the m/s to ease... PLUS what you said, Lu, about missed m/c being pretty rare... (I have that book too, think I'll check it out tonight... )PLUS the fact that its not actually totally gone, just easing; I've been heartburny/burpy all morning... *sigh*
I think I might just sit tight 'til my scan, maybe get thru the weekend and see what Monday brings and if I'm still freaking then I'll ring the doc... least then I'll be 10 weeks and won't look so bleedin' paranoid! 8-[
Lunch time and I'm REEEEEEEALLY not hungry... Might go shopping... :D Retail therapy, although the last thing I need is more clothes that (hopefully! :-k) won't fit me in 3 months... maybe new makeup ;)

Nothin' else to report really... I hate Mondays, I wish it were Friday 12th September already, and my colleague's daughter has chicken pox. Good thing I told her I am pg, she warned me not to come too close. I've had them twice though, so I'm not being too paranoid...

Howdy ladies!!!
10 weeks and STARVING this morning!!! ugh... lookout cafeteria, preggo me is on the way!!!
I seem to be at that stage where I'm not  anymore - or at least not all the time - but the minute I get too hungry it hits me... although having said that, its mostly at night now. If I've not got dinner in front of me at like 5.00pm the nausea hits until I manage to shove sth in... Better start having snacks around I guess...
Yesterday had a HUGE fight with DH    - he got peeved off 'cause we were talking about jobs in other cities with a couple of his friends (he's looking for sth new) and one of them has an offer in Dubai. He said never in his life would he work there and I said 'you'd never work ANYWHERE except Bern Switzerland and you know it, you're too much of a home boy." (well its TRUE! He won't consider coming back to Canada with me either, which is a bit of a sore spot with me)... apparently that ticked him off, so he spent the rest of the night provoking me!!! 'specially about being pg and my pg symptoms; he basically said that I'm a big wuss and that the nausea and food aversions were all in my head and I should just buck up and get over it!  The worst bit is, I don't even complain, I just don't eat what I don't feel like and go to bed when I'm tired!!!
Somehow we seem to have made up overnight (I woke up in his arms this morning) but now I'm REALLY reluctant to talk to him about anything anymore... ... *sigh* I swear some days he's the most sensitive sweet man on the planet and other days I think he's Shrek's big brother...
Anyway, sorry for the rant... Gonna go pig out on brekkie now! :D Is it Friday yet?!?!?
:hugs:

Yay, you're 10 weeks today!!!:happydance:
Sorry about your fight last night, I wonder was it just your DH hitting out because you hit a nerve with him? As far as I'm concerned, if you're feeling like poo because you're pg there's no problem moaning to your DH about it because, lets face it, he's half the reason it's happening! If the worst they have to deal with during this time is a bit of moaning then they should count themselves lucky - that's my justification anyway! Glad you made up though, I hate it when there's bad feeling between me and DH, I'm such a wuss!
Hope you've enjoyed a lovely big brekkie!! No, not Friday yet though, I wish......

Little update: I went for a JOG at lunch!!!!! Wonders will never cease!!!!! Am totally knackered now though! But in a good way really. Felt sick directly after the run though, like how I used to feel when I overdid it in a race... I think maybe an hour (even if it is at a SNAIL'S pace) is too much at the mo'... will try 45 mins next time.
Had a good sports bra on today, so bbs weren't too too bad. Felt them, but not like last time - also I think they really ARE less sore... (paranoia returning briefly... :hissy:)
I was posting in sjnams journal just now, and realized that my m/s is over for the most part but I never posted my fav things to eat while it was around! Actually, they are STILL my fav things to eat; I don't feel nauseous anymore but I sure dont' want much in the way of food variety! :shy: For some reason I am off foods that one has to CHEW... straaaaaaange... So, here it is, my list of fav foods from week 4 to 10! :D (sorry to bore you all, its for posterity!)
- soups, particularly "huttensuppe"
- yogourt, esp Heidi berry-bichermuesli
- cheese slices and La Vache qui Rit type cheese (!??! no idea !!??)
- fruit, esp berries and apples (funny that I don't mind chewing apples!??)
- my fav take away curry; so creamy and yummy and mmmmhhhh!
- spaghetti with rosee sauce mmmmmhhhh think that might be dinner tonight!!
and my all time eat-every-night-if-I-could favourite:
- mashed potatoes with milk, salt, loads of pepper and cheese... HEAVEN!!!
Things I CANNOT stomach and/or just don't feel like anymore, even now in the absence of m/s:
- meat/fish, any kind in any form. Ick ick and more ick.
- chocolate!!!! would you believe that?!?!? I used to eat at least a square or two of dark chocolate or a coupla Lindor balls a day!!!
- salads; I dunno, too much chewing I guess!!!
- coffee, although that's coming back as long as its about 0.5 part coffee 300 parts milk ;)
- beer/wine, even the non-alc stuffl; honestly the thought/smell makes me gag and gives me heartburn! And I was a... um... connaisseur... :shy:

To make matters worse, I read in wtewye "if you don't feel like your uterus is growing, phone your practictioner"... WTF!??!? HOW pray tell, does one know if one's uterus is growing??!?! *sigh*
I'm def getting a bit rounder around the middle though, but I honestly don't know if its baby, bloat, or the fact that I went from running about 35km a week to doing next to nothing...!?!?!? I dont' seem to have put on weight anywhere else though, which I'm taking as a good sign.
Last night had my spaghetti and rosee sauce, but too much of it I think, and it was a different sauce than normal and it gave me heartburn that lasted 'til now!! ugh... Am drinking red berry juice, that seems to help, and will go have my hot milk with a splash of coffee  shortly - that usually clears the rest up...
Other than that, not much new... Goin' out for curry and a movie tonight - have my anti- pills in my purse just in case. The prob is gonna be explaining to my girlfriend why I'm not having a beer with dinner... ugh...

So I renegged on the curry last night. HAD TO. Thank goodness she was understanding... Had to leave the office at 3.30pm was feeling ABSOLUTELY shite!!! :( I must of looked it too, 'cause she didn't even complain... I dunno, I have days/nights like that every 3 or 4 days or so... yesterday I had heartburn/nausea the WHOLE day, but was nevertheless hungry at lunch/dinner. Just no matter what I ate it made me feel  after. I think I might have overdone it on the garlic - garlic in the spag sauce on Tuesday evening, and then yesterday there was pesto in my tomato/mozz sandwhich at lunch... I know better now! Sticking to bland foods for sure!
Also, I have this constant burny throat... anyone else? its not really SORE but like HOT... makes me want to drink constantly but I can't call it thirst... weird... better note that one down for my doc. Hope I'm not coming down with sth, but that would mean I've been coming down with it for at LEAST 3 weeks! ... yeah...
Bbs not so sore this morning PANIC! ... *sigh* I know, I know... it seems to happen the day after I've had to use that sickness pill... I wonder if there are painkillers in it too?? Regardless, will try NOT to freak out, and go for a run at lunch instead ;)
Ok, brekkie time, am nice and hungry this morn and since my activia kicked in (aaaahhhh!) I don't feel 1000kg anymore!

Sorry you felt so bad yesterday but at least its been followed by a good day! Hope you get out for that run at lunch, bit of fresh air is a great pick me up! :hugs:
Shame about the curry though, i've actually found that curries and stronger tasting foods are sitting better in my stomach right now! Weird how the m/s affects us all so differently!!

hey sweets:wave:glad you are feeling better apart from the heartburn! Its horrid I know! I used to take a pocket sized bottle of Mylanta (couldnt stomache the Gavascon) with me wherever I went! I constantly had a white moustache from the Mylanta....I looked like I was foaming at the mouth!
im sure our rubbish collectors used to think I was some kind of crazy woman with all the bottles of Mylanta in the bin!
This time round though It hasnt been quite as bad...just if I eat something spicy or with too much garlic (I loooove garlic)....

Hiya hunnies!!!
Having a very bizarre morning... Felt terrible again last night, sore throat, cold, exhausted... slept and felt much better when I woke up but now Im' not sure if its coming on again... VERY strange. I've given in to the fact that I might be getting sick 'cause now I have a headache and burny eyes too... hope not but what can I do?!?! not much... Still have an appetite, which is a good sign...
Howdy Katiensam and Jacqui! Thanks for poppin' in girlies! Actually, just to set the record straight I was/am bloated 'cause uh, well, nothing was goin' on down there for 3 or 4 days at a time - the Activia helps w/ that!
Gosh Jacqui I hope you're right! I'm now starting to be paranoid that I'm not big enough for 10 1/2 weeks! I'm sure my girlfriend was starting to properly 'show' by now... then again, I know, I know, everyone's different! :shy:
What else can I obsess about?? No, I'm done. Not much to report. Am trying the curry again tonight, and tomorrow a lovely looooooooooooooong lay in and then the Madonna concert!
Have a great Friday ladies!!

Sorry that cold seems to have caught up with you, hopefully that long lie in tomorrow will help!
My friend was telling me that although she was a bit bloated and put on some weight in the earlier stages, her bump only appeared at week 20 - and she said it was literally overnight, she went to bed with nothing and woke up with an unmistakeable bump which she couldn't disguise!!

Feeling ok now, not 100% for sure but the sore throat has eased a bit. I think goin' to bed early last night helped too...

Dont worry sweet pea.......you will be ok! :winkwink: I know its easy to say and hard to do! :hugs: hang in there darl! I agree with Catster! I had a friend who did show that much until around 7 months...and she had a 5lb health bubs! :hugs:
Remember that when its your first baby (and especially if you have good abs) you dont show as much as you do if you've one already!....when its your first, your stomache muscles are REALLY tight! So it takes a little while for bubby to start "showing" so you will be ok darlin! The ones who 'show early are the ones like me who have already got a child or 2...your body just knows what to do then and thats when you show early! hope that makes sense! But i hope it puts your mind at rest! :flower:

Good morning everybody!
Ugh... Mondays. My all-time fav day of the week... NOT! I HATE Mondays with a passion, even more so now b/c I STILL can't get outta bed! *sigh* And to make matters worse, it appears that my m/s is back! ... Crap. Not as bad as it was, but I now have that 'constant lump in my chest' feeling, d'you know what I mean? Like constant indigestion... ugh... and the bbs are very sore and scratchy again... Reassuring but annoying... what can I say, I'm never happy!!!
How was everyone's weekend? Aside from the Madonna concert, mine was pretty quiet. The concert was good but not as good as I was expecting I must admit... :( There was NO atmosphere! typical Switzerland, what can I say. 73'000 people and bof... ah well. I discovered, however, that I am INCAPABLE of staying standing in one place for so long. OMG MY BACK!!! It was applesauce after!!! Once again I've gotta say The Joys!! Sunday I did NOTHING but:laundry::iron: and TV!! :D aaahhh..
Tonight my girlfriend's bday, dunno what to bring her and am stressing 'cause we are going to dinner at a mini brewery in the city!!! HOW am I gonna explain not drinking, it (was) my FAV beer EVER!!!... I think I'm gonna hafta pull the antibiotic excuse ;)
Ok, gonna go stalk some journals, and then try to get some work done. I have been seriously under-productive these last few weeks, better buck up! Great start to the week ladies!!!

i used the antibiotics excuse once but then a couple weeks later i had to think of another one so i used the 'i have a major hangover from last night' excuse, together with morning sickness works a treat!!
I didnt have any bump at 10 1/2 weeks but its slowly creeping out now (still not noticeable to anyone but myself tho!!) i will try and post some pics in the bumps section so you can see.
i didnt tell anyone (but family and my best friends) until this weekend and now everyone knows, and they certainly werent expecting me to say i was 14 weeks lol!!
hope you have a nice week hun!

Hey again!
Katie, am I blind, or do you not have a journal (yet? ;)) I can't find it if so! Hmm, I'm starting to get a "bump" now I think, but its mostly in the evening when I swell up that I notice; its DEF not noticeable to other people yet, I tend to wear loose clothing anyway... And really at the mo, I just have a thick waist! yuck!
Howdy Lisa - believe me, I'm DYING to tell people, but I'm so paranoid after last time that I am FORCING myself to wait 'til after my scan. I've even organised a girlies night on that Friday so I can officially tell my workmates at least! (God I hope the scan goes well or I'll be swiggin' the pints for sure...... :shy:) DH's two best friends know, and I'm having a hard time believing they've not told our whole group... but y'never know, maybe I'm underestimating them. Either that or people are just playing along 'til we make it official -THAT would be very Swiss... Discretion to a fault!!! OH, and of course my soccer team, but as I said once, they are so young and so NOT a part of the 'rest' of my life that I'm not worried about who they'll tell at all... *sigh* Im' REALLY getting sick of this bit. Bring on 2nd tri!!!!!!!!!!
Have a headache and still feel  - managed a bit of yogourt/fruit at lunch, but even that didnt' go down as well as it usually does... :( I'm majorly bloated today and feel 20000000 lbs  If my mate wasn't such a good friend (she's the first one I met/hung out with when I moved here!) I'd skip dinner tonight... *sigh* Checked out the restaurant's menu, there is NOTHING that I feel like eating! Ugh. This'll be an experience...
Right, sorry for the rant, I totally don't feel like working right now. Had a productive morning, that'll do!

Don't worry about your lack of bump as yet, I was speaking to my mum the other day and she said that with her first (my big sister) she was only about 90lbs in weight (she is tiny in size and height....like me ) she didn't get her bump until after 5 months gone which peeved her off majorly as she got married at 5mths pregnant and on the advice of relatives bought a big flowing maternity wedding dress which it turned out she didn't need!!!:rofl:
Hope you manage to find something to eat tonight! :hugs:

Hello Wendy,
Just popped by to try to catch up on you. Time moves too quickly and I feel like I'm running to catch up. Oh well, it's good to be busy I guess. You sound like you could do with that old morning sickness (or any time of the day sickness as the case may be) stopping. I do hope it disappears soon and then you can get on with enjoying the rest of your pregnancy.
Don't wish a bump on yourself too early. It's a blessing to be small and you will get your cutie bump just at the right time. I reckon because you are so toned, your body will not 'pop' as readily as most people. It's a good sign and shows you have strong stomach muscles, so I wouldn't give it a second thought.
If I am every lucky enough to get PG, I will pray to stay small as I am not a big person and don't fancy changing my body too much. I too want to keep running, so hope you can too as I know it's such a big part of your life.
So far so good and not too long to your scan. I'm looking forward to reading about that and hearing that you can finally relax. I think you are pretty safe as is ... but no point in telling you that ... you are like me, you would worry anyway.
As my mum would have said "it's a waste of a good worry" ... save it for something that needs worrying about.
Love ya. :friends:

Hello all!
I feel pants this morning again :( I hadda take my anti:sick: pill last night, boy was I suffering!!!! Its not really nausea like I would normally describe it, but I can't think of how to put it... like... dunno a mix between nausea/bloating/heartburn and a lump in my throat... very very yuck. And now the pill has given me a druggie hangover and I just wanna be in BED!!!
Sorry for the rant. On the upside, I managed to keep my secret, even though Reto was sat there with this big stupid grin on his face :hissy: sometimes I could KILL him!!! No one seemed to notice thank God, that's always a good thing when you're in a big group - individuals don't stand out as much! :D My roesti with mushroom sauce did NOT however agree with me... Hope today is a better eating day - I'm gonna try to run at lunch and see if that helps...
@Tishimouse: THANK YOU for dropping by! No worries, I'm also desperately trying to keep up w/ pg journals AND ttc journals and not doing a very good job of it... :shy:
What else? Reto has a job interview this morning, he was a nervous wreck, bless him... For such a big macho man, he's a huge softie really :cloud9: I hope it goes well for him. I absolutely don't want to pressure him, but I'll be glad when he finds sth else... It was a blow to his ego (and our finances!) when his job got cut right after our holiday!!! :( *sigh*
OH! And last thing: is it possible that I've "popped" overnight?!?! Good Lord, my trousers are all tight!!!! HUH!??!?! I'm wearing my (were) waaaaaaaaaay-too-big black trousers that I only put on the day b/f AF when I was super bloat and they FIT! I can't imagine putting anything else on now! ack! Maternity gear already?!?!? The weird thing is, I don't really see a "bump"... I bet I'll carry "wide" rather than out front... does that mean sth?? :)
11 days to my scan... Time does NOT fly!

Morning hun. You are so good not telling anyone you know! Most people know about me already - but i am rubbish at keeping secrets especially when i am too excited! I am a nightmare at christmas and spend weeks asking oh to guess what his presents are!!!
I hope you have a better eating day. I know waht you mean about not fancying anything! every night when we are deciding what to have for dinner it is like a massive debate!! just want to REALLY want something!! i either REALLY don't want something or i am just indifferent - and then it makes me feel  anyway!!!
I read that if you are all bump its a girl and if you go all the way round it is a boy! Now that was true of me the way i carried ds and dd - but my friend carried exactly the same as i did with ds and she had a girl!!! Think it more depends on your body hun - and how baby is lying etc!! are you going to find out what you are having?
have a good tuesday hun - hope your run makes you feel a bit better! :hugs:

I have heard that theory as well but to be honest my little sister had a boy and her bump was all up front, she didn't look pregnant from behind.......wonder if i'll be that lucky!!

And time draaaaaaaaaaaaaaags on again!!! ugh! 10 days to go! I refuse to make a ticker, I find it makes the days go even slower!!!
So I'm HUNGRY this morning! yea! Actually, I got hungry about mid morning yesterday, after the Activia kicked in :shy:... The  feeling disappeared completely thank GOD!! Went for a nice walk into town (to buy me a tomato/mozz hot sandwich mmmmmhhhh!!! giant and gooey, YUM! :D) rather than a run at lunch - I'm still struggling with low energy unfortunately - and then ran around (not literally...) last night to a few shops; I'm starting to look at nursery furniture! :happydance: :D Got home and my lower belly and FEET were SWOLLEN you can't imagine! I think I must already be retaining water 'cause was up FOUR TIMES last night to pee!?!? WTF?!?! Isn't this supposed to be dying down a bit?!? ugh... On the upside, my skinny jeans fit again, w/ room to spare! I really think its just bloat and not baby yet, after all that!!! :shy:
I was reading Lu's post about 3lbs of... plugged upped-ness... and now I wonder about MY weight gain... We don't have a scale, hubby refuses, he'd rather not know about his OWN weight fluctuations... But now that I'm pg, it interests me! I was 52kg at my last doc's apmt... Hope I havent' gained too much (or not at all would be nice!)... *sigh* guess I'll have to wait and see! Story of my life at the mo'!

Post number 2 of the day! :shy: I'm an addict... and I need a break from these figures, they're doin' my head in!
Wanted to update that I WENT FOR A RUN at lunch today!! :wohoo: I dunno girlies, I keep reading about exercise in pregnancy and everywhere it says that if you were a runner b4, you can stay a runner w/ some modifications. Of course nowhere does it say what KIND of modifications except that one should not do long runs or speedwork. That's no prob, I couldn't sprint if you paid me to, and I get too tired for long runs. But should I always feel dizzy and sick after running?? I'm REALLY not going long or fast but maybe its still too much?!!? I don't think I could do much LESS, it'd not be worth getting geared up for! I'm all confuseled. I feel absolutely FINE now, I always feel great after a workout; but just after I stop and am about to get in the shower I get a bit dizzy and sicky... *sigh* Will try to read up some more and ask the doc when I go I guess...
Off at 5 for an early movie, and, you guessed it, a curry!! A true addict, I promise you :D I am gonna be a rolypoly I can tell!!!

Morning all! :flower:
You girlies make me laugh :D Thanks for the encouragement, but I promise you ANYONE can run! Really! That's the beauty of it! All you need is a good pair of shoes!! (Ok, pregnancy is not the time to start, we know that...) But that's what made me take it up here - I was so broke when I moved to Switzerland I couldn't afford a gym membership (they are sick expensive here, like just about everything else in this country ) so I bought a 100chf pair of runners and just...went! Since I play soccer I've always been fairly fit, but I promise you the first month was H-E-double-hockey-sticks!!! Now its an addiction, I couldn't live w/out it if I wanted to! ... which is the reason I'm trying to keep at it despite a few protests from the bbs and the back... *sigh* I guess I'll leave it today and maybe have another go on Friday... Twice a week seems all I can manage at the mo... I'm "listening to my body" like all the websites say!!! :shy:
Movie was ok, the Nanny Diaries w/ Scarlet what's-her-face... Nothin' to write home about though. The curry was FAB as usual! we talked the guy into promising us a bigger portion the next time, I always come away still hungry and wanting more!! I know he'll remember too 'cause we are ALWAYS there!!
Speakin' of hunger, I'm STARVING again this morning! My tumbly is gurgling like mad!! Think its 'cause I woke up at 4am and couldnt' get back to sleep :grr: Really frustrating! Had a headache last night too, I have a feeling it might've been from lack of fluids... Gotta remember to drink more on days when I run...

Howdy all!
I'm late gettin' on here today, would you believe I've actually been working all morning?!?! :shy: heh... happens once in a while!
Feeling absolutely fine today  wise, I think its taken a hike for good :wohoo:, although I'm a bit worried about this headache. I've had it 3 days straight now... its not BAD, but its there, more like a tension really than a headache, up from the back of my neck... bizarre. I'm so afraid of blood pressure probs 'cause that's in my family... although, being fit helps I think... I hope. Am going for a run now to see if I can ease it a bit...
Last night totally PIGGED OUT on cheese quiche - 2 GIANT pieces... MMMHHH! The one thing the Swiss CAN do is anything with cheese in it!! Gotta have a healthier day today now though, that stuff is loaded w/ fat!
Hockey game tonight, this'll be fun. Our ENTIRE group of friends goes to these things and I am beer drinker extraordinaire... HOW will I get outta this one!?? *sigh* ah well, let'em suspect. I'll just say I'm driving... :shy:
That's it for now girlies, off for my run! Wishing you all a FAB friday, and a relaxing weekend!
:hugs:

Hey no focusing on the negative of your food intake....remember cheese is a great source of calcium which is great for you and bean right now!!!
Hope your headache eases off a bit, did going for the run help??
Enjoy the rest of your Friday and have a fab weekend! :hugs:
p.s. did I read that right? Are you actually working?? :winkwink:

Good morning good morning!
Mondays... loooove them... I should still be in BED! Do you realize I hadda get up THREE times last night to pee???? I'm like clockwork - if I drink anything past about 6 or 7pm, then its 11pm, 1am, 4am and then when I get up!??!!? aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!! :growlmad:
*sigh* On the upside: 4 days to my scan!!!!!!! not counting today of course :) :wohoo: :happydance: If this week would just FLY by!!!
Hope everybody had a nice weekend! Mine was VERY quiet. Went nursery furniture "window shopping" on Sat all by my lonesome - DH had a handball team weekend... Got home around 2pm, ate lunch and remained on my sofa shoving food down my gob 'til I went to bed!! :shy: That's what happens when its crappy :rain: weather and I stay up too late the night b/f! :shy: Could not be asked to move my behind... :shy:
Went for a run yesterday morning though, think it might've been a bit too long and I didn't eat enough to make up for it evidently b/c I'm STARVING now!!! HOW'm I gonna wait 'til 9?!?!? Dinner at the in-laws, they are so proud... :cloud9: Just hope mil doesn't decide she gets full authority 'cause my mum doesn't live here... I hate that! She's already trying to tell me what kind of nursery furniture to buy (i.e. cheap crap that I don't want!!!!) :grr: *sigh*
Right, time to journal stalk and pass the time 'til brekkie!! :D :hugs: to everybody, have a great start to the week!
p.s. 12 weeks tomorrow!!?!?! :yipee: Time for another bump pic!! :D

your not getting smaller hun, it looks like it is spreading up towards your ribs. Your top pic shows and indent coming down your rib to your "belly" while your second pic this indent has been filled in making you look flatter. I think you are progressing nicely!! :hugs:

I agree with sjnams that your shape is subtly changing and making you flatter from your ribs down to your tummy. Definite small progress and I think a blessing to stay lovely and slim for as long as possible. Don't forget to use something like bio-oil to keep your skin soft and stretchy as you have beautiful skin and need to protect it (do I sound like you Mum? :shy: ) sorry honey, I am sure you have already thought of this.
Congratulation on your '12 weeks today' celebrations. You'll have to move to the 2nd trimester now which must give you a warm feeling. :flower:

Hey hun, finally got a chance to get round to checking the journals!!
Happy 12 weeks!!
As for your lil bump ... your filling out more at the top, ribcage kinda area than the bottom, i did that and then the bottom will start to fill out!! So dont worry ... give it 2 more weeks and you'll notice more of what i mean once youve got a 14 week piccy to compare!!

Hiya ladies!
THANKS for your words of encouragement, I feel better now... I think its partly also 'cause bloat is going away, phew. And when I took that pic at 9 weeks I was REALLY, um, (tmi) constipated. Like seriously. So that might account for the 'bigger' lower half of me at 9 weeks... Guess I'll just have to wait and see. DH is impatiently waiting for me to 'pop', I think its not real to him until I have a bump! Hope the scan helps with that...
Anyway, TWO DAYS!!!!!!!! Two more days! I'm going kooky! I dreamt of my scan last night, I don't think it was good but I can't remember. I just remember feeling terrified the whole night! Good Lord, I really am a paranoid nutter!
Tishi, THANKS, as always for the great advice. And no, I hadn't really thought of it I must admit... any suggestions as to what kind of oil? I have NO clue in that dpt. I'm pretty girly when it comes to clothes and shoes, but as for beauty products... Total ijit. Tomboy. Never use 'em... unless you count like Nivea cream after the shower! :shy:
What else... hmmm... not much really. went over to my girlfriend's after my curry - which btw is HORRID as a takeaway, very bizarre, i think it takes on the taste of the aluminum container! ick! wont' be doin' that again! Hadda walk there 'cause dinner left me feeling so bloated and yucky. Walked back too... and the run at lunch... no WONDER I'm starving today!!?! :D Time to get some foooooooood! :D
:hugs: to you all!

Hey sweets!! You made 12 weeks!!
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i119/moogsmum/woohoo.gif
I think you'll see a change in your shape now coz you'll start to have a proper baby bump and not a bloaty bump. I definately went up and then back down at almost the same point as you have. After 12 weeks you get a truer 'bump'.
Have a good day and send me a PMif you hear a large bang anywhere close by so I can go out and spend like its the end of the world!!!

2 days to go!! :happydance:
I agree with you about takeaway curries!! Tastes so different to when you sit in and eat, it's weird! Must be the containers like you say.
Don't be too impressed by my housework endeavours, I am after all a housewifey now on an extended career break so I have to do something with all the hours I have to fill while at home!! I live in the cleanest house in town right now but I guess I should enjoy that while I can because no doubt that will all change by spring next year!! :happydance:
Hope you have a fab day hun! :hugs:

Nice bump! Looks like everything's progressing well! I really should start taking some photos so I have my progress up to date but I'm so pale it looks awful! I will though, honest!
It's quite nice being busy at work from time to time isn't it, makes the day go much faster! Sounds like you've been really busy with your exercise though, I really have to get back into it, I've been really bad and lazy lately.... Keep saying to myself that once the first tri is over I'll have lots more energy and will be more able for it but think I'm just kidding myself really!
Have a fab day hon xxx

Hi Wendy,
I recommend a product such as bio oil. Here is a picture so you know what it looks like.
http://www.nutrisun.co.uk/bsearch.asp?action=search&brandq=bio%20oil&whichoption=
I bought mine from a wholesalers near where I live and use it after my showers all the time. It smells like bergamot and honeysuckle and is an oil that dries into your skin really quickly, leaving it feeling like velvet. It's expensive, but one 200ml bottle lasts me for almost 2 years and I use it every day.
Otherwise you can buy something like cocoa butter, which is also highly recommended to help prevent stretch marks and indeed to treat them afterwards for those ladies who get them.
It's a good idea to start now and especially with winter coming up as your skin lacks sunshine and suffers from the dryness of indoor heating systems.
:hugs:

MORNING!!!!!!
OMG MY SCAN IS TOMORROW!?!?!??! :wohoo: :wohoo: :wohoo: !!!!!!! I'm slightly freakin' out, can you tell!?!? I'm sure I won't sleep at all tonight!
Bit worried about Wishing too since we haven't heard anything...
Nothin' new this morning, was starving but just had brekkie... could go for another cappucino though... Im' really trying to watch it, not just eating "because I can" - I've always had a mahoosive appetite, but my sports have made up for it... now that Im barely doing anything I don't wanna fall into that trap where instead of exercising I'm shoving food down my gob!
Last night made myself peach crisp, mmmmhhh if I do say so myself! :D My first craving for sweet food since my bfp, seriously! That was dinner not dessert so I don't feel too guilty and there were a TON of peaches and the topping is made w/ oatmeal, so not all that unhealthy either... Goin' for a run at lunch too.
Looking forward to this weekend, DH and I are goin' up to Brienzersee, a lake just past interlaken to a wellness hotel - I'd got him a gift certificate there for LAST year's bday but we're using it to celebrate this year's! 5 course meal, "adventure" room, wellness and hiking! Should be fun, I just hope the weather plays along, at least on sunday...
OH! Last thing, not really much to do w/ pg but gotta say it. I work for the financial part of a Fund. My good friend works in the project part and she's just got herself a new position in a completely diff dpt - now her boss wants me to transfer to projects (which is where I started initially but only stayed for 2 weeks when this position opened up!)... I have NO IDEA what to do. I haven't told my boss that I'm pg yet, but the project boss knows. What she DOESN'T know is that I want to reduce my working hours to 60% after the baby is born... I just don't think she's gonna go for that... And I THINK that it'd be less of a prob in finance... *sigh* I'm TOTALLY lost. I guess I'm gonna have to tell my boss and see what he says and then discuss it w/ her. ugh. I'm just past 12 weeks, I REALLY wasn't expecting to have to deal w/ this so soon!!! We'll see I guess...
Right, sorry about that MONSTER entry, lots goin' on lately!!! lotsa :hugs: to all and a fab Thursday! one more day and its TGIF!! :D

One day to your scan!!!!!:happydance:
I know what you mean about the appetite thing. I always thought women got big because the taking the eating for 2 thing too seriously meant that they just ate whatever they fancied - I didn't realise it was because we were going to develop these massive appetites!!! I was so good with eating healthy food at the start and I can feel myself slipping now - instead of my weetabix this morning I had 2 slices of white buttery toast! Totally gorgeous but not exactly healthy!!
Sounds like it'll be worthwhile to sit down with both your bosses after your scan and see what they have to say - which job would you prefer though? But hey, it's nice to be in demand!!!

Sep 11th, 2008, 11:03 AM
I got offered a different job the morning I got my BFP....:headspin:....so I kow where you're coming from. I'd been interviewed the day before and was pretty sure it was mine coz they'd asked me to apply. When I got the BFP I said to Keith 'What do I do about the job now!?' Anyway we decided I should just come clean - even though I was less than 4 weeks preg!! My boss is a good guy so I'd have told him ASAP but not quite the same morning!!! I told him and he appreciated it coz I could have just taken the job and there wouldnt have been anything they could have done. So he spoke to the Head and we entered 'negotiations' but couldnt really agree on something that suited both me and the school so I decided to just stick as I am.
I think at your point ie. past 12 weeks, you should have a proper talk to them - dont rush in to anything and see what they come up with.
