I have a feeling...

I'll start with the story first then go into what I'm feeling. Ok, so I'm on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and I accidentally took my pill 10 hours late about 3 weeks ago. Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex during the 7 days afterward. I am not sure if my birth control was working because of having to take it late. Now I just have this feeling that I'm pregnant again. It's like the same feeling I had with my son. My period is due in 3 days, so I'm going to test in two weeks, if I don't get my period. My question is can I get pregnant from taking my pill late/was it ineffective for the 7 days after the day i took it late? Any help would be great.

Im sure that taking your pill only 10 hrs late does not really do much to affect the protection of the pill. Try not to stress out too much because that could cause you to be late on your period and stress you out even more.

I had a situation like this, and although its a possibility... like all unprotected sex has.
My doctor told me that there is of course a better chance if you miss your birth control,
but that even if you stop taking it, it protects you for a few days at least. My doctor told me that you safe if you miss one pill within 24 hours... but to remember theres always as risk. I was also on the same pill as you. I didnt end up being pregnant.

yh i wouldnt worry, there is still a small chance but if you took it correctly before and wherent missing one regularly then you are normally still covered.

I think there is a great possibility that missing your pill by 10 hours did not make you pregnant.

Try not to stress about it.

If it happened 3 weeks ago and your period is due in 3 days, why would you wait two weeks to test if you miss your period?

I'm not on the same type of pill but i've always been told that as long as i dont miss more than one then i'm protected.
