Seeing things??!

I just took a test because AF is really late, I didn't expect to see anything so I had to do a double take when what I think is a line came up before the test line...

It is very very faint and MrBum thinks too faint to mean anything? It's darker on the strip than on the pic - was hard to get it to come out on camera.

What do you girlies think? Could I be?!

I was due on ages ago. Had unprotected ages ago, about 2 weeks before my period was due on, but none since then and have been testing like a mad thing since I was due on (on 29th of July)... all negative, until this one this afternoon which has a small small line. Very confused. Do you think it's a fluke??

Your timing seems right if you were due on 29 July (sorry if I have the dates wrong) x

That wasn't so long ago, maybe your levels weren't high enough?? Test again 2moz and if you see a line go the doc's?? x x

its poss, if you had sex about 2weeks b4 your period was due your could have been ovulating, then 2 weeks period (or not) then another 2 weeks for it to show on the test..... stranger things have happened

I see lines!! They'd have been dancing on the ceiling if they were mine!! So big congrats! (not sure what these evap lines are all about, but test again tomorrow morning with FMU to be sure)

I think some digis need a bit of a higher hcg concentration to register as positive, so maybe something with lines? Or every kind you can find :rofl: x

I've shown MrBum, and my mother, and my sister... all say they think it's negative :shrug: Might take another test tomorrow... but think I should really wait a few weeks as money is tight. There's a new connexions office in town, though and they do free testing so will maybe just accidentally end up there tomorrow :rofl:

You know the clearblue tests that say 'pregnant' and 'not pregnant', how reliable are they?

They say that once you have missed your period, you can test at any time of the day, but I used 2 of those a week or so ago and they both came out negative.

How reliable are these in your experience? Do you think that as I've had a questionable positive on a strip test it's more likely to be right if it says negative / positive even if I do it in the middle of the day?

When was your period due and have you been regular since Anna was born?

Defo think your preg hun, I did a digi on the morning and it was BFN then I did a cheap one and got a faint line so with that same pee I did another digi, and I got a BFP. If you are getting a line like that on them I would defo do a digi,

I had a pos on a dollarama cheapy and then I got 2 negs that same day on 2 different brands of tests...next day I got another brand FRER I think and it was also neg then the day after that I got a pos on a FRER! Held it for 4 hours. As long as I could really...

We're not trying right now, but I'm part-relieved, part-gutted. I do really want another baby and had convinced myself I was and talked myself round to the idea! More gutted than anything else I think...

Will leave it for now. If I don't get my period before I get my coil fitted, I'll test before just to make sure. Am due to have IUD fitted on 29th. Should show positive by then if I am.

Really disappointed, but it's probably for the best... right? :cry:

I'm so sorry about this. I did a first response early test last month and got a faint line on 2 of them - but after 20 minutes it disappeared, leaving us just gutted. We hadn't been trying but were so excited by the positive test that we were dancing round the bathroom.

From googling, I found that's quite a common thing with the first response tests, but yours weren't. Maybe it was a chem preg? I saw a line on all 3 of yours.

That was a pretty strong evap ...Im confused for you!

On your second lot of tests I swore I seen faint lines ...must be the cam as you said defo bfn?

After reading wobbles' post i also think i can see a line on the first one of the second lot. Has your period arrived yet tasha?

I saw a positive too on the top test you posted, I think its BFP. So sorry- we all know how you feel, its so hard! Try to stay positive! Just as a side note I had a IUD for several years and loved it so good luck to you with that as well.

(I have had pelvic inflammatory disease, which means I have a 1 in 10 chance of ectopic pregnancy if I fall pregnant). Does anyone know what this is like or think this sounds like it??

I am thinking about going to the doctors tonight as cramps so so bad.... paracetamol and ibuprofen not helping. Do you think I will look stupid if I go to the out of hours for this now? I didn't keep the test so can't take that with me...

If' you're at risk it might be worth ringing, even just for advice, saying you're worried and painkillers aren't helping... How long have you had the pains?

For about 3 days now, but they are only getting unbearable today... Think I'll have to go soon, even if it's just to get some stronger pain relief!

Tasha I had BFPs right until it was all over with my ectopic - You still produce hormone levels if you think this and are in pain even if it concerns you don't feel daft to go and get checked out in fact I say don't hang around if you are feeling anything unusal and pain is curling!

Really hope everything's ok. I'm high risk for ectopic too and was told that I'd still get +ves (was sent for an early scan with Sam and the doctor said that tests would have appeared normal but pain would be unbearable - think she was trying to make me worry less though - correct me if I'm wrong Wobbles). Definitely worth getting checked out anyway if you're worried though - you can just tell them you had a +ve a few days ago and I'm sure they'll make sure you're ok :hugs: x

Yeah, hope all is okay when you go the docs tomorrow. But if it does get any worse just go straight to A&E, is better to maybe look like a worrier than put yourself at risk :hugs:

I'm sorry the :witch: got you. I hope everything went well with your doctor's visit. I have heard that if you are TTC you can actually make your body believe that you are pregnant, and when this happens when the :witch: comes, she can be very painful. One of my sisters had this happen. My sisters doctor told her she wasn't really pregnant; even though she didn't have a cycle for 3 months. Best wishes and baby dust for future trys.
