Hey guys,
I am thinking of getting a CBFM as so many girls on here seem to love their monitors, so am thinking it must be good, right?!
I'm not really 'up' on all these OPKs and sticks and what i need to do! Would someone mind telling stupid girl here what i need to buy and how it works?! Do i pee on sticks and shove them in a machine??! Do i just buy a monitor and then packs of sticks separately?! Do i have to do it at a certain time of day?!
Please don't laugh at my stupidness!! I've just never really looked into all this stuff!!! Can i buy online (in UK) to avoid that annoying cheeky look that the flipping shop assistants always give you when you buy pg tests or whatever - you know that "I know what you're doing" look! Find that sooooo annoying!

Hey Coffee.
ok, firstly you can buy cbfm's anywhere, online from the like of ebay and amazon.com. Ebay do great deals and sell 1 pack of sticks with a monitor for around £65-£80. The sticks come in packs of 20 and most ladies only need 10, but if your cycles are quite long then you may need 20 for the first couple of cycles. You set the 'm' button on the monitor on the first day of your full flow cycle and on cd 6 the monitor will ask you for your first stick. you can either poas or piac (pee on stick or pee in cup with FIRST MORNING URINE ) you then insert the stick into the machine and within about 5 mins it displays your fertility reading for that day. you do this everyday it asks you for a stick, usually up until it reaches peak fertility, then it will almost always give you an extra peak day and then a high.
On your first month of using them, they 'get to know your cycle' so may not give you a peak reading, but as I found out..you can get pg without the peak, lol.
The monitors come with full instructions and a booklet with frequently asked questions in so they make it wasy for you to understand.
They are only suitable for women with cycles upto 40 days I think (pls check this) so if you have irregular or long cycles then they are not recommended.

Hope this helps!

Get it off ebay - don't pay full price. There are a few of us who use them so you can ask loads of qs!
