Have looked on this site a few times and decided that after a year of ttc I could do with talking to like minded ladies.

As I say my husband and I have been trying for a year now. Both have had tests, doctor says i don't ovulate and husband has been told he will be called back for another test in sep. (seems there could be a problem with his mobility)

have been using ovulation tests for past few months and nothing until this month! We were over the moon was so excited to have a positive ovulation. have had sore boobs for the last week (but unfortunately have had last four cycles) Thursday will be 14 days after positive ovulation. Not feeling too hopeful. Have been silly and done a couple of tests already but obviously:bfn:

Hopefully writing this down will stop me from obsessing every month.

Good luck to all the rest of you ttc!

finding all the threads confusing never seem to be where I think I am!

Feeling better today even though I had some spotting this morning I think the :witch: is on her way! at least my boobs seem to not feel like they will explode if they are touched now.

although one thing:
Why do people not realise that asking someone they don't know very well if there is going to be a pitter patter of tiny feet soon. Actually translates to 'are you having regular sex with you new husband?' how rude! it's none of their business. I know they are just doing the norm but do they not realise that at certain times of the month it can break the most together woman into a fit of hysterical crying! (obviously we don't until we have left the insensitive sods) sorry just needed to get that off my chest.

Being married a year and together a further 5, the general public obviously have decided we should have had a baby by now. How do you continue to smile through it? I may just start replying to people 'how is your sex life? get it regularly?'

Wow finished my rant, sorry about that! feels good to have got it off my chest. i can't be alone at wanting to shout at these people (i know they are not being intentinally hurtful, but people should think a little more)

anyway...... i'm hoping for :bfp:all round for every woman who has had to deal with other peoples prying comments! that's all of us! :happydance:

It's not a rant hun, I agree. We had it from the moment we got married, with the manager of the hotel announcing they also do chrsitenings. WTF!!! So annoying. I know what you mean, it's as though if you tell people you are ttc that people will know you're 'doing it', 'cos that what I think when people tell me, or is that just my warped mind ha, ha

Even worse are those that say "just relax", "It's because your thinking about it too much", "It will happen eventually" and all those annoying sayings - aarrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhh!!! Can you tell it annoys me too (and that was only from one person, hence why it's now a secret!!!)

So there's my rant over with :rofl: Good luck...x.

Oh the relax one! that's just great obviously they didn't have any trouble and think it is just a case of you have sex and it happens.

I have not told anyone new, told my best mate a year ago and she has proved to be a shitty friend! she doesn't realise how her comments hurt. You'd think that knowing we were having problems that she might be sensitive about the issue. She has never wanted children and everyone who knows her will say that. She then out of the blue said she was pregnant and it happened first time. She told me at 6 weeks so I could help her with a cover story as we were going on a hen night. Which I did. When she told me she said 'I was scared of telling you as I knew you really wanted us to have children at the same time' WTF! no I want a healthy baby with my husband not to be pregnant with her!

Some more from the best friend! everytime I say no to alcohol 'oh got something to tell me?' no just ttc some of us have to eat well not drink and change our diets to eating seeds and herbal drinks 'at least they are taking you seriously' when I told her we were being reffered to the hospital. why wouldn't they be taking me seriously? oh of course I am making it up that I am ttc and it hasn't happened.
Brings around the scan pictures for me to see 'says her husband said it made him feel sick! seeing the baby floating around' WTF my husband would be crying with joy!

I have an endless list of things but I will stop now (I have also stopped telling her things- told her I didn't want to discuss it with her)

Thank you for that I suddenly feel a huge weight lifting off me. Don't normally bitch about friends which is why I have bottled this up and it was obviously eating at me. I am happy for her pregnancy but it wasn't as easy to be happy for her as it was my other friend who has pcos and had been trying for 2 years she told me after the second round of drugs she was pregnant! So happy for her couldn't happen to a better couple, they deserve it and still going well 15 weeks in.

Wow what a ranting day today has been! out with the rant in with the baby I hope.

all off my chest now! xx

You have your rant!!! Thats what this place is for! It's great!, in fact all I ever do is rant on my page. My hubby thinks its great because the more I take it out on here, the less I take it out on him!!!

Totally know what u mean though, ever since the day I got married EVERYONE has been like "So when are you two trying???" and think to myself FOR GOD SAKE I AM TRYING!!!!!!! SO LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!! But instead I politely say "we jusy haven't got round to it yet, maybe next year"....AAAaaaggghhh!!!:hissy:. And as for my mother in law...well don't even get me started!!

Don't let them or your friend get you down, because your time WILL come! x

Thank you for your mini rant, I was feeling bad about my rather massive rant yesterday, especially about my friend. I am sure she would be upset to think her comments hurt me so much.

You are so right getting it out on here means my poor husband doesn't get it when he comes in from work. That has to be a good thing.

The :witch: arrived yesterday but feeling actually quite good about it all this month brings hope unlike the last ones. At least this cycle was 35 days with ovulation unlike the epic 56 day cycles with no ovulation! Things are obviously getting better! :happydance:

Newbie77
Aug 7th, 2008, 13:50 PM
I think the major reason people are insensitive is that they either got pregnant very easily and therefore no of the stress which is involved and how you would do anything to get a BFP, hence even little comments, comments off the cuff, that mean nothing to them hurt us deep down. Secondly it is from people who are not in the same place as you in their lives, for eg I have a friend who is pregnant, due mid Sept and another friend hasn't seen her since she announced it. They got together last Thursday and after my friend had said wow you're big (well yes she is 8months) and secondly "how are you doing?" She had nothing more to add. I think the same goes for ttc, if people have no want for a baby they can just say the daftest things. Sorry I am ranting now, looks like your journal is the place to come to offload!!!!

Anyway back to your ttc, how are ya getting on??? Glad your cycle seems to be sorting itself out. x.

well on CD2 so got a while to go yet but feeling positive this month!

Decided to start giving my husband relaxing massages with lavender massage oil last night. trying to de stress him from work and hopefully help his little swimmers in the process. Also my cunning plan to gradually get him to agree to some reflexology as well. Still need to start it my self, will do that this week I think.

Just booked my first reflexology session for wednesday so hoping she might help work some miracles this month.

Newbie- no hubby hasn't returned the massage favour but he did say after his birthday on the 15th of this month he is going to stop drinking with me. He said we have a job to do and we are going to get it done!

Had the sister in law and her family down this weekend they have just left now, it is so quiet!. Two children.....do I really want children? they smashed one of my favourite little chinese plates. One of them somehow found a permanent pen (where she got that from i will never know!) and did some colouring in, which went through the paper and onto our coffee table! OH GOOD! Luckily I spotted it before husband and I went to bed and her parents had already gone up so husband and I spent the next half an hour at 2 in the morning scubbing the coffee table. Little tip: I only had vanish clothes spray, and it actually has taken it out quite a bit but I can obviously still see it. Ah well it's only a coffee table and she didn't mean it. We took them for a run around on sunday and they were great, I actually think my husband and I enjoyed ourselves more than anyone else.

Got the other sister in law down next weekend with her two children, boy, girl twins aged 7 1/2, I am praying for sun so we can play outside! Two sister in laws and families in one month I think I am being a good wife this month! :fool: He will owe me!

Polish and moisturise- A bit like having a cleaner but tidying before they come round! I'm sure the reflexologist has seen worse but still won't make me confortable about my feet. I think if you could have a foot transplant I would have that over any other cosmetic surgery!

Been away for a bit, just been a really busy weekend which seemed to start last wednesday.

Had the reflexology it was really relaxing really lovely woman. She said my left foot was completely fine but my right foot did show some energy blockage in my lower back (I do have a bad back) and she also said there was a niggle on my right ovary. She worked with it and it went so she said it might have cleared it whatever it was. She said it wasn't something to worry about. I have booked another appointment with her for not this wednesday but next. So when I see her next if my cycle goes like last month I would have ovulated by then and will be at the 2ww.

Had the sister in law, her bloke her twin 8 year olds and as a suprise mother in law visit this weekend for my husbands birthday. It actually went really well the kids have changed so much and are really polite nice children to be with. The sister in law has now decided i'm not the nasty witch who has taken away her brother and was nice to me! The family came down with a cool birthday present for him as well; they gave him a wii!. How cool so I can now play on the nintendo wii, another way to not think about ttc, and might help me shed a few pounds.

Hubby and I are going away today for a couple of days, we have borrowed a family house in devon (for free) along with another friends bikes and another friends car bike rack, so we are getting away from it all for a couple of days on the very cheap!

So probably won't be online again until it is opk time.

Going to check how you girls are doing now as last week a lot of you were resisting testing to early, I hope to find some :bfp: posts xxx

Break away was great, even though the weather was soggy!

should be ovulating now but the tests say i'm not:huh: they are showing very faint lines which still means negative. Got some EW CM today so maybe tomorrow will show a positive opk.

Not feeling too positive this month hubby has had lots of drinking nights being his birthday and had his family down so :spermy: will be even more lost than normal!

Off for another session of reflexology tomorrow so that might give me a more positive outlook.

Getting annoyed with the NHS why haven't they contacted us yet? our info was sent to the hospital over two months ago they could at least contact us and give us a date even if it is in a couple of months then we would have a date!

feeling a bit stressy today but can't put my finger on why. You know when some days you could easily have a fight with someone (not a physical one) but don't know why. (I promise no fighting in here!)

Hi there, just wanted to stop by and say thanks for dropping in on my journal. I really hope your LH levels surge and your naughty ovaries start releasing those eggs for you!

I have reflexology too, how do you feel about it? I am not 100% sure what or if it is doing anything for me but I must admit it makes me feel a whole lot better so I would be really interested in your experience of it all........

In terms of the NHS not getting back to you, call your GP office and get it chased up, my GP booked the appointment online for me while I was in his office, I chose the hospital, the date etc and he booked it there and then, so seriously check up on this perhaps there has been an admin error or something???? call them asap if I was you

Well still only a faint line again today but had some more ew cm today. Didn't get to dtd last night suddenly got into a cleaning mission and pulled everything out from under the stairs at 11:30. Hubby went to bed and I continued to tidy the house. Had been painting the hall and bathroom all day, then cleaned the bathroom and all my mess. Obviously when I got to bed at 12:45am hubby didn't want to play, no suprise as he has work in the morning and i'm off at the moment.

Got my second reflexology today so looking forward to that. Thinking about maybe buying a basal thermometer for next cycle, but not sure if it might make me even more obsessed with symptoms etc. Might be better off without it? any feedback on temp recording pros and cons welcome xx

Yay about the reflexology, enjoy! :) Hope you OV soon and get knocked up!

Yesterday some relatives were asking me "so, when are you going to start trying?" and instantly I thought of your journal. It really is a pain to feel like crying but in stead smile and say "oh I don't know, maybe in a year or so". My DH says I should just tell them off. :) Somehow it seems it is always women who are interested in knowing about this, and it is hard for us to tell them off, because they come in all sizes like aunts, neighbors, Mom's best friends, own friends etc!

Anyway just want to give you a  and wish you good luck!

Love,

Two strong +opk lines today :happydance::happydance: so excited thought I was out for this cycle as on day 21. We did some :sex: last night as well so maybe this time the :spermy: might make it there in time. So excited just phoned hubby at work to tell him I got two lines he was chuffed to and joked should he try and get home for lunch!

I feel like shouting from the roof tops just for my second +opk god help the world when I get my :bfp: :wohoo:

I took your advice girls and spoke to my doctor well long story and in a true rant fashion i am going to tell it. Finished my reflexology which was lovely- tell you more in a min about that. Went to the building next door which is my doctor surgery. Said to the receptionist that I was wanting to chase up a referal my doctor had set up for my husband and myself at the hospital. My Dr doesn't work wednesday's so she looked up my notes. 'No notes on your file about it' she said 'so i'll get the Dr to ring you tomorrow morning'. In my head I was going nuts! 'no notes on my file! why not? has he not done it yet? he forgot, now it's going to take even longer!'

Dr phoned this morning and said the clinic is very busy and that i'd just have to be patient. So I told him it had been two months and still no contact and he sounded suprised, 'oh it has been a while then' he said, well yes you would know that if you had put any notes on my file numbnut! Then told him hubby had been told to do another sample in september but he had still not been given a date or cup. Dr said 'that is odd then, I will try and chase this up for you'. I don't think he has reffered us yet he forgets to write notes he's done it before to me. I went in once because of no periods for months when ttc and so he did the dreaded internal (sorry tmi) and he said all fine. So months later I went back again and he said well first thing to do would be an internal 'hang on matey, did you not do that last time and say it was fine?' Then another time I go back in still about ttc and he said we will do some blood tests- normally done by the nurse but she can only do them in the morning but i can't get out of work for things like that. So he said he could do it for me after work. I get there sit in his room and he checks over some other things I'd gone about (got dodgy hips, not best for lots of :sex: but ah well) then I said I have also come for my blood tests. then we both just sit there he then says ' did you want to ask me something?' I say 'no' then we sit there he finally says 'so are you off to the nurse now?' 'no your doing the blood tests' 'oh yes I remember' OH MY THIS DR NEEDS AN ASSISTANT TO KEEP HIM IN CHECK!

Dr rant over now!

Reflexology:
Lovely lady did her thing and all that came up yesterday was she said 'have you been drinking more than usual or taking medication?' oh my! caught out For the past few months I haven't been drinking but this month when the :witch: arrived I thought stuff it, I will relax with some :wine: and not think about ttc until we have seen the hospital. So each weekend we had people down and I had just one or two glasses of wine it also stops them asking the stupid questions. Then it just carried on I wasn't binge drinking just 1 or 2 glasses and not every night. But she picked it up! The other thing she said are you due on soon because the area she kept picking up on was my chest and breasts. She asked if I get sore boobs before the :witch: arrives. I never used to but the last 5 months they are unbearable for a week before. She said the feet hold memorys about the past and also what is coming up and she said their seems to be an indication of discomfort with your breasts. Everything else was fine this time. So nice and relaxing so at least it is doing that for me.

wow this is becoming a long one!

Amy: sorry to hear about the relatives, don't you just have an Ally McBeal moment when they do it, where you visualise coming out of your body and screaming at them right in their faces  but obviously we do what you said do the wide grin gritted teeth thing. :hugs: Funny you thought of me! i keep linking you girlies in with things as well.

Ok, think i've got myself together now and have stopped :hissy:!

Reading your journals has given me some PMA back cause you are all great!

Got hubby to dtd twice yesterday and got +opk this morning again. Had weird period like tummy symptoms yesterday not had that before is that normal when ovulating? as it's only my second month of ovulating not used to the symptoms yet.

Cheers Chris, your weekend sounds good might plan something like it but without the alcohol and scary films; can't do the booze for two more weeks or hopefully 9 months! and i'm a chicken when it comes to scary films so more likely to be a chick flick fest!

Think i'll make hubby a curry!

I make hand made cards in my spare time- the whole idea of being a teacher so i could set up my own business in the school holidays. Been teaching for 4 years and still haven't set it up. Just doing a couple of friends weddings at the moment, although I keep end up saying it's a present for them, not a good business plan!

I hate the 2ww time, at least this time I won't have time to think about it, back to school this week.

still not feeling too well, got some stupid summer cold  sorry summer!

right on the ttc thing:

Last night was in agony in bed with stomach pains felt like af pains but too early for that. Gone today so not sure what they were, bloody hurt though!
Boobs were sore yesterday too so maybe it was ovulation? but the opks said it was the other day.... this stuff is so confusing!

Boobs still a little tender today but nothing like last night. I hope it wasn't ovulation as I haven't had :sex: for four days. Snotty nose and breathing through your mouth is not a sexy look! and been feeling too horrible to dtd.

So might have missed the boat this cycle. Roll on next month and hopefully some contact from the hospital.

Hubby is off to Prague on a stag do this thursday so on my own till monday. Thinking I will order in food at the weekend and sit and watch all my favourite movies in my p-jamas.

Hi girls,

SO nice to come in and see all your messages.

Newbie- really sorry I have sent my cold your way! hard to be sexy and up for dtd when your breathing through your mouth and you've managed to join your nose and top lip with a bright red line.

Still feeling ill, but unfortunately don't think it's linked to a silver lining. Everyone around here seems to have it.

Trying to be good about the symptom spotting as keep getting it wrong. Have sore boobs at the mo but that's about it at the mo EWCM stopped then it went quite watery and now it is quite sticky sorry if TMI don't get all the CM stuff just know it's good when you get the EWCM.

got another 7 days yet as my cycles have been long.

Dr phoned hubby back today only because hubby phoned him first. Dr said no point in going for him second semen analysis as he has referred both of us we should wait for our appointment together.

Going to check you girls now- hope there are some good syptoms coming through and some BFP's

I survived the first few days back at school! and they weren't fun!!!! Why am I a teacher?

Well it is 18:17 on a friday evening and I have cooked and eaten my dinner and I am sat in my pjamas watching television! and it's great!

Been having twinges in my stomach today and nipples are like bullets! I get these symptoms when the witch is on her way so trying to not get my hopes up this month.

Out with old friends tomorrow night, not sure how to cover up not drinking, never like to drink in the 2ww just in case.

Then my friends christening of her three gorgeous baby girls on sunday where I am godmother! will be lovely apart from the rain here. Need to find an outfit for it yet, decided instead of a present for the babies I am going to donate some money to the special baby unit that helped the girls in their early days. i can buy them presents any time.

slightly off track from just ttc stuff but on my own as hubby is at the airport with the stag party. Tend to ramble when not got someone at home to talk to! off to see you girlies now xx

Christening was lovely and NO RAIN!

Boobs are still sore, especially around my nipples, and they are quite big (boobs i mean not got supersize nips!)- but they do that before the nasty :witch: arrives. Not due to see her till friday time but as my cycles aren't regular could be longer.

Ended up having a small glass of red wine (think that will be ok) and said I wasn't going to drink anymore as I had to drive early the next morning.

Still got a lot of CM at the moment not sure if that's normal will need to look that up, only been really noticing and charting cm this month so might be normal for me.

Well going to check out your journals now, thanks for popping by xx:hug:

The little guy in my avatar pic is from a photo I took on my honeymoon in Singapore. He was ace hubby and I spent about an hour watching him and the other monkeys. If you ever go to singapore (I highly recommend it) you have to go to the Singapore zoo, it's nothing like a zoo; all natural boundaries no cages, animals are right there, Kangeroos jumping past you; a log separating you and the giraffes. Really cool!
We then went to Borneo after Singapore and saw the orangutans! they are lovely.

Those sensitive to TMI don't read on!

Newbie- I seemed to have a lot of CM! sometimes felt like I could feel it coming out- Like when your period comes when your not expecting it and you just know youv'e got to get to the toilet to check. It started to get quite sticky and leaving a little pile in my knickers NICE! going slightly yellowy in colour towards the last few days.

Tuesday night went to bed with the shivers and felt awful! don't know if that was some sort of symptom.

I'm so excited I really want all you guys to come with me, think I might drop off the cheeky monkey with the others xxx Keep me posted with the syptoms and we can compare, (i have all of mine in my homemade spreadsheet!)

He is sooo cute - excellent choice of avatar! He made me chuckle when I first saw him!

Two more pics the poas in stream one is the clearest but the little cheapy is quite faint. I did do a third all with the same first pee but it came out negative (I'm telling myself that doesn't count as I looked on the box and it is 5 months out of date.

I did drink about 5 pints last night before bed and woke up with a headache. I need a dark line! think I might need a digital.

Thanks for all of your support girls xx

Plans for this weekend are quite busy- off to photograph my friends babies, the ones that had the christening they didn't get any photos so i'm going to take some staged ones of them all dressed up.

Then hubbys boss who is a prat is having a part at his from 2 in the afternoon till late. We should make an appearance as Hubby is the only designer in this family company. (the reason I don't like the boss is because on our wedding night in a very expensive posh manor house/ hotel, where we held the reception. He found out which one was our room got in and slashed open a huge feather pillow all in the bed, He thought it was really funny  I didn't, one I was embarressed as it is criminal damage but secondly I couldn't go in the room until some poor lad had gone in and cleaned it because i'm really allergic to feathers, have an asthma attack and can't see!) We won't be staying long!

oops head of department just came in so had to minimise!

I've asked him upstairs and Mr Storky to send all my BnB mates their :bfp: xxx

Going to be stalking all of you in your 2ww not long left for most of you xx

Got a docs appointment booked for thursday 7pm.
Brown CM has stopped which i'm glad about.
Feeling little sicky in the morning but more like a hangover, wake up with a headache and manky mouth, little dizzy. Then it goes after breakfast.
In the evening drinking about 5 pints of water with dinner and throughout the evening.
Nothing else though.

Soooo excited about LOLA hope the rest of you in the 2ww will be announcing soon xxx
