So, 5 weeks and 2 days pg today, and the sickness has started.
I've felt sick all day and peppermint tea only seems to help for about half hour. Oh well, this is the start of things to come i suppose!
I don't do pregnancy very well. I wish I could be one of those women who blossom during pregnancy, but I just suffer from horrendous heartburn, backache, and last time I ended up on crutches because of SPD. It's a means to an end for me. I'll spend the next 8 months complaining, but after that, it'll all go away when I hold that little bundle of joy! :happydance:

Yesterday was a tough day. We had a christening and myself and 3 friends were doing the catering. Peeling spuds when you're feeling sick is not nice.:hissy: And then the pub's ice machine broke and it was 28 degrees in the garden!!! :hissy: Had my first hormonal outburst at the landlady when she told me that none of my drinks were in the fridge, and she had to limit people to one ice cube each! I lost the plot and told her the pub had gone to rack and ruin since they'd had it and I would be glad to see the back of them, and that any landlady worth anything would be in Asda now buying bags of ice cubes! Oops!
Luckily she is a friend and a few tears later (and a crafty scoop of ice from her son:blush:) I apologised and she was fine with me.
Charlie's got a nasty cough and got really miserable about 6pm, so that gave me a good excuse to come home.
Feeling a little better today. Not sick at the minute, but bloody starving all the time!!! :dohh: And only crap will do. Had a fried egg cob for breakfast instead of my usual cereal. And now I'm just off to have a salt and vinegar crisp sandwich for lunch. Salt and vinegar crisps! Yummmmmyy - couldn't get enough of them when I was pg with Charlie, and I don't normally eat crisps!!

Woke up feeling sick this morning, but that may be due to lack of sleep. The torrential rain and Charlie's cough woke him up at 2:30 am, and he didn't go back sleep until 4:15.:hissy:
Have felt okay for most of the day, salt and vinegar crisps this morning, and a Snickers bar this afternoon! I'm gonna be the size of a house soon!!
Already noticing that my waist is disappearing. I didn't have to wear a belt today!:dohh:

Felt so sick and tired today, and nearly threw up when I cleaned my teeth! :hissy:
Booked in with the midwife though for my booking in appointment. Tuesday 12th August, so not long to wait.
Went dentist this afternoon and it was great not having to pay!! :happydance:

Well, I've not been around for a whilw because I've been feeling soooo sick, that I couldn't even muster up the energy to pick the laptop up.
Last Saturday I was physically sick and spent the whole day on the sofa while the rest of the family went to a wedding! Monday and Tuesday I was back at work and would walk in and practically go straight to bed. I'm exhausted. I've been bed for 2 hours this afternoon and still feel like I could sleep for a week.
Oh, the joys!
Had my scan today and there is only one baby. I'm measuring 7 weeks today, so EDD is 26th March. I can't believe how tiny the baby was - 9.9mm! How on earth do they find that with the scan? And then he heartbeat - even smaller, but so quick!

Strange turn-around of symptoms yesterday and today. I can't stop eating! The sickness has gone and I've got bags of energy.
I'm trying not to worry because my boobs are still killing me, but can't help it.

I had my booking in appointment with the mw yesterday, and very happy to say that she is lovely. None of this "you must bf" or "let's try a vbac" talk that I was partially expecting. She said it's all entirely my choice, and not to let anyone else sway me if that was what I wanted. She really made me feel at ease.
I've not got to see her again until week 15, although she did say I could see her sooner if I felt I needed to.
She's booking me in for a 12 week scan, and also said she's referring me to consultant care immediately due to my SPD and section history. So I feel so much better.
It took an hour of form filling! And blood tests!

I had my 12 week scan and consultant appointment through the post yesterday. Scan is on 11th September, I should be about 12 weeks 1 day to my reckoning, so perfect!:happydance: And consultants appointment is for 3rd November. That seems ages away, but it's only about 10 weeks, so not too bad. Hopefully any SPD symptoms won't have shown up yet anyhow. I'm also hoping that I'm not too big by then so I can show him the big lump of scar tissue that I was left with last time when they messed up my section. I was told by the hv that they should remove that at the same time as I have my section next time. Yeh!!! Tummy tuck - how posh am I??!!!
Not looking forward to the next week. I've got some really tough training in Milton Keynes. So, instead of my usual 3 days work 2 miles down the road, I'm driving 2 hours every day to sit in a classroom. Working Monday to Friday and 2 very difficult exams as well. It'll be worth it as it'll mean I'll have this qualification, but it's gonna be a tough week, so I may not get a chance to update this till next weekend. Oh, then I'm off to Rhyl, so something really good to look forward to at the end of the week!:happydance::happydance:

Hope the weather is lovely for you by the weekend - it's good you've got something to get you through the week. My next scan is on 11th Sept too - seems like it's a big scan day, I know there's at least 3 others on here who have theirs then too.
Good luck for your exams x
