 guys...I thought Id better start one of these! (I actually didnt see the journals and was wondering about writing a journal like I did in TTC...but now I found it :happydance:

Anyway, from my calculations Im now 5 weeks...YIKES!!!!
Let me start at the begining...I actually m/c my last pregnancy (which was in Feb 08 )...I had started spotting at 5weeks last time...so you can imagine that this time round Im a little bit worried...ok...ok...Im paranoid! But I cant help it! I had some spotting the other day! Arrrgh! :hissy: It was pink tinged CM...so I have been told to rest and of course not to stress!
Im really trying hard not to worry, but then again last night around 2am I went to the loo and when I wiped...there was a little bit of pink tinged CM again! So now Im just going to rest all day (like you can when you have a 2 year old little boy! NOT!!!!)...I know Im probably just over reacting...but I cant help but wonder if there is something wrong! I went to the Dr's and he said I was to have a scan! So Im booked in next week...so Ive got my fingers crossed in the meantime!
Sorry to go on, and Im probably boring you! so sorry about that!
Take care sweeties and I will endevour to write a little something in each of your journals!

You're not boring us atall!! AND... as I have learnt... in your journal you're allowed to go on as much as you like.

I am sure it will just be normal and hope that there is no more spotting... because although it is probably nothing to worry about... you can't help but worry. Try your best not too because like you said... you have been told to relax.

I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy and I'll be reading!!:hug:

  Well, I just wanted to thank you girlies! :happydance:
I DID OVER REACT!!!!!! I HAVE NOT HAD ANY MORE SPOTTING OR ANYTHING!!! I think it may have been implantation spotting as it was pink tinged CM!! HOW EMBARRESING!!!
But Im happy that things are going ok! :yipee:  to you girls for having faith in me!
:dust: to you sweet pea naomi! :dust:

Well Im still going to go for my scan which is booked in next thurs...so that will be good...just to make sure everything is ok seeings that I had m/c last time!

But on another note! IM SHOWING ALREADY!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!! I CANT BELIEVE IT! I only noticed yesterday...and I sent DH a pxt (picture text) on my phone to his phone at work to proove that Im showing! He texted me back saying that Im not going to be able hide the fact anymore! :cloud9:

I kind of am hiding the fact from my cousin (we live underneath her and her hubby...they have never had children...) because when I told her last time I was pregy she said to me "OH MARINA, YOU CANT EVEN LOOK AFTER JAYDEN...SO HOW CAN YOU LOOK AFTER ANOTHER ONE!" I was sooo angry :hissy: coz I think that Iam a good mum! I dont have any close family over here in Aussie...they are all over in NZ...we moved here a year ago! And we are staying with (actually she is my mums cousin) her as they have a granny flat underneath the main house...ANYWAY...arrrrgh I have to do it all on my own...I only have JUST put Jayden who is 2...into daycare! :grrr: Ok ...Breathe....You will just get yourself all worked up!....
Anyway, she just doesnt understand that everyone has bad days and that when you see a photo of my DS he is not malnuroushied or mistreated! :grrr:

What I have decided is that Im not going to tell her directly...she can find out on her own through word of mouth! My immediate family know (DH family are lovely and live in NSW...they know! I couldnt help myself! ) and I have sworn them to secrecy....

So on that rant!:hissy: I had to get it off my chest! I will sign off...thank you guys sooooooo much for all your support and encouragement!

Hi ya hun, I'm glad your spotting has subsided now and you can relax. It is still exciting to have a scan isn't it. As for your cousin I can completely understand why you have not chosen to tell her yourself. I mean charming...anyway have fun and OMG can't believe your showing already. That's exciting seeing that bump come together so quickly. x

Screw your cousin, Marina!! You have better things to deal with, a lovely hubby, a darling son and a bun in the oven. Sooo releaved everything seems back on track :):):)

Just because they have no clue, and someone who doesnt have kids (or is not actively ttc- as i do believe us crazy people put a lot of time into understanding what we're getting into- as much as one possiby can- has no idea ) AND you are the mummy, not her..she can go suck on a lemon!!

Im totally away from my tiny family, and i would be even more insenced
if a family member of mine was, well, so unsupportive. They dont have to like it or agree- just be nice about it!!

You are great , your family is great and so is your bean. There- i said it :)

Thanks, babe for posting in my journal- im all psyched this cycle to join you all :)

And, please let me know how it goes on your scan, chicken.

All the best :hug:xxxxx

Hello Chicken, I have just found your journal!!!
I'm sorry to hear about your cousin. I agree with Omi..screw her.
I'm sure your a fab mummy. I hate it when people stick their noses in where they are not wanted and if people can't say something nice, then they should remain quiet.
Good luck with your scan hun

 Thanks so much Kaelia and Naomi! I appreciate it! :friends:

Anyway, update time!
I have been soooooooooooooooooooooooo tired! Im more tired this time round than I was last time! Im actually exhusted! I cant believe how tired Iam! A friend of mine told me it was because Im running around after a toddler...but Im not so sure~ Oh well I would rather be tired and have sore (o)(o)'s than be

I have just contract a cold from my DS! So Im extra yukky today! I went to the library yesterday and got out some bokks to read while Im resting in bed! So that it helps me nod off! (not that I need any help in that dept!)...but I find that if I cant sleep...but I am tired, if I read for a bit it sends me off! (I quite often do that in the middle of the night...as I suddenly wake up and cant get back to sleep! Poor hubby has to put up with my bedside light being on!....I must get a little torch!...oooh that reminds me of when I was a kid...and I used to read in the dark with a torch under my blankets when we had to turn our lights off at night time! )

Anyway, cant wait until I go for my scan...finger crossed that everything is ok! By the way Iam SHOWING already! I cant believe it! 5 weeks and already in maternity clothes! When I lie on my tummy to go to sleep it feels like there is a lump under my tummy already! I dont know how to put photos on here other wise I would show you...maybe someone would be able to give me a simplified version (or step by step) of how to put photos on here! :hissy:

So until I have something else to add, I will sign off here...
PS. My cat Kriger (the one in my avatar) walks up my body and lies on my tummy! He did that when I was pregy with DS too! How cute!

By the way I forgot to add that I have been craving frankfurters!!!! CRAZY huh! I just cant get enough of them! I like them hot or cold...with bread or without! Allthough without tastes much nicer! I dont normally eat quite as many even though normally I do like them, I wouldnt have them for breakfast! I think that I might have a craving for them...wouldnt you say? NUTS HUH!
Also I get the most wicked GAS!!! I give my poor hubby a run for his money! And my son (2) thinks its a great jokes when mummy "pops-off" (thats what we call it- he is too little to be using words like fart! he can wait until he gets to school to use that word!)
 sorry if its TMI....but had to share!:rofl:

Yay - an update!! You are a little ahead of me, but I am showing already too!! Not baby showing of course, but definitely bloat and puffiness, ect... I can't button my pants and resorted to maternity Bermuda shorts today!! As for your gas and cravings - same here.... Totally outdoing hubby right now AND made him drive me 1 hour away to a restaurant I've only eaten at once for dinner because I was craving it SO bad!!!!!!

Mervs Mum
May 3rd, 2008, 08:17 AM
I was bloated very early on too - busting out of my clothes and the boobs.....jeezzz....anyway it did settle down and I've only just really started to pop in the last 2 weeks.

So good to have you over here darling - enjoy the ride......

Hehe, I have had terrible gas too... I keep blaming the cat :rofl:

That's funny, my friend craved frankfurters when she was pregnant... everytime I went around, she was either cooking some or eating some.

I have bloating too... it comes and goes but I have bought some maternity pants just so I can be more comfortable at work. To put the pic up... you just save it on your computer, then when you go to type a message, in the "Additional Options" section below your message window, click "Manage Attachments" and it will ask you to locate your pic.

Hope it works... looking forward to seeing your little belly.:hug:

Well I feel like poo! I have caught my DH and DS's cold's! TYPICAL! I play nurse to them...and then once they are better I get it!
I get hot and cold flushes, snotty nose, headaches etc, etc....I need some chicken soup, lemon drinks (with a dash of whisky! like my dad used to make) and my mum to make me feel better!
YUP, Im hormonal as well as feeling blah! :p Such is the life of being a mum I guess!
Maybe THATS why Ive been sooooooooo extremely tired :dohh:

My (o)(o)'s are really sore and heavy tonight! And ive also noticed that if I walk around the house without a bra I tend to leak a tiny bit! I think I will have to get out the old maternity bras as my normal ones are slightly small now! I tend to overflow (couldnt remember the right word! ) over the tops of them! I wear half cup bras...so to give me as much cleavage as poss! Even though Im not exactly an A cup! (sorry girls if any of you are!) Im a AUS 16DD!!! DH thinks they are the best...and now that they have gotten heavier...he cant keep his hands off...I have to wear high necked tops...otherwise it enourages him to touch! NO TOUCHY!!!!!! SORE BOOBIES!!!

Anyhoo, I should get to bed...DH is up watching Star Wars III ...so I might try and get snuggly under the blankets in bed before he comes into bed and messes up the blankets, sheets etc...boys are so messy! :grr: :trouble:
I will update more as I find more to write about!
PS..my cat Krigy (in the avatar) is meowing at me to go to bedf so he can cuddle up with me...so Id better not keep him waiting! night night!

Ah, yes, i can remember the bloating and the wind..lovely..there's goes the image of a women glowing when pg, eh..lol! Its more like walking around in a stink bomb cloud of one's own making, ha, ha.. NOT great at work, though..feeling like a zeppelin is more like it and then hoping one can let out 'steam' once in bathroom..never works though :)

Please, please dont feel the Agnus Castus was a bad thing. If it is guilty im quite chuffed...who wants to wait anymore than one already does, you know? Im gonna get a little bd in and hope for the best..it worked last time! :)

All the best and give the kitties a big cuddle for me..mine have been hugged and kissed from you, you know, lol!!

:awww: Thanks guys! You make me all teary! (dont worry its the hormones! )

Well thought I would do a quick update...

My (o)(o)'s are soooo tingly and Ive been having a few short shrp pains in them too! :O If anyone has had that too its the kind of feeling like when your milk comes in! Sort of tingling and drawing sensation......and then as well as that I have totally gone off coffee!!!!! MY LIFE BLOOD!!!!!!  Not sure if its because of this stupid cold or what...maybe its the morning sickness starting! YIKES!!! Anyway, Im absolutely ZONKED  I could  I spent all day resting today as DS was in daycare today!

But apart from that I havent spewed yet! I felt like it last night, but I think that was because I wolfed my dinner down (I was starving!) and then got heartburn! I had heartburn with DS for the whole 9months!!!!!!!!! I lived on Mylanta! (heartburn liquid-creamy substance that tasted like mints! I drank bottles of the stuff!) Anyway Im hoping to avoid that this time round...but we'll see!

Thanks soo much girlies for being so encouraging!  I will do my best to write a little something in your journals too!
Take care and will update soon! :happydance:

No ITS LOVELY!!!! Cold coffee!!!

Well I went for my scan and everything is fine! :happydance: :yipee: :wohoo:

So Im really relieved about it...that spotting must just have been implantation spotting...although they have changed my EDD to 2nd Jan 09...but I dont know...Wait until my next scan...

So now its off to the doctors to get bloods etc...:O I really hate having blood tests done, but I guess its got to be done!
Im remembering to keep up with my vitamins and folic acid, so that is at least one good thing!
I soooooo tired and still feeling sick! From my cold that is not from m/s...although I do feel gross if I dont eat!

So on that note Im going to go to bed and take DS with me too! We can have a snuggle in bed and hopefully both of us will have a nap!
*yawwwwn* Im sooooooo tired I can barely keep my etes open...its only 11am! But Im going back to bed! So please excuse me not writing in your journals...I will see how I go tonight! (PS. the weather is freezing and over cast so its perfect bed weather!)

Well Im feeling  brrrp....its soooooo gross...I had forgotten how much I hate the first 3 months of pregy!

I havent thrown up YET!!! But Im sure when Dh gets home I will! Ive been holding it off!

Well Im about to do a rant :hissy:

DH went o work today (sat) and when youa re feeling crook as a dog and already have a toddler to run around after its exhusting!!
He went to work and forgot to clean the kitty litter! so now the house stinks of cat poo! and has done all day...I rang DH and blasted him :hissy: as Im not aloued to touch kitty poo! Then to top itall off Kriger went and did a poo in the shower! so im really CROSS!!!!!
I have been wanting to throw up all day and on top of that Im still feeling crook from the flu! Aaarrrrggggh! :hissy:
DS has been sooo naughty today too! Wont do as he is told (like he normally does when Im on top of my game! Mummy cracks the whip!! Otherwise nothing gets done! My house is proof of that as DH has had to do things on his own as Im suposed to be resting etc etfc....) *sniff sniff*

I hate living in a pig sty (Im not a tidy housewfie anyway..but I like a CLEAN HOUSE!!!!!!!) My house is normally just messy but clean! You know lived in!

So Im feeling really gross and sick and just plain yukky! Even the smell of my DS pooy nappy makes me gag! So on that note Im going to sign off and possibly hurl!!!!!!!!
OH GARY! HURRY UP AND GET HOME!!!!!! I FEEL SOOO GROSS!!!!! :hissy: :hissy: hissy:

Awww glad you're feeling better... I know what you mean about the litter tray. I said to OH the other day Otto (the cat) stinks and he said "oh I'll clean it later" and I said "NO that's not good enough, the house will stink by then" and he said "well I'll do it later" so I said "right if you don't do it now, I'll have too and if I get toxomothingy it's your fault" so he did it :D

Thanks princess... Yes my darling puddy was very interested in whaty Iw as doing!
He now likes lying on my tummy! sooo funny!

Nothing more to update though! Still feeling  and even more tired~! Im sure Im extremely tired coz Im running after a toddler! Hence why he goes to daycare 2 days a week!

Last night I ws really crook! I felt gross and looked it! DH came home from work late and DS was a pain! I finally got him to have 2 sleeps yesterday (he normally only has/needs one) but I was just sooo exhusted I got him to lie with me in my bed and he FINALLY :hissy: went off to sleep! So then I had a sleep too!
I must have needed it coz I went to bed early as well!
But today I feel a bit better...not quite as exhusted! So thats good!

I havent been to the doctors as yet...I know I went to the dr to get my scan done (but that wasnt my regualr dr!)....I just havent been feeling like forcing myself to go up...especially when I dont have anyone to look after DS! I know I could go while he is at daycare...but Im just tooo lazy! I might just force myself to go up next week! we will see...its just they wont do anything until about 11 weeks anyway...so I just cant be bothered! Just waaaaaaay tooo tired!!!!!!!!

Oh well...I will go eventually...I have to go to my Dr so I can get refered to the OB/GYN ...so i might just wait until then! We decided to go private (we have health insurance which covers maternity....) and the private hospital here in Brisbane (sunnybank) is really nice so ive been told! They treat you wonderfully! So that will be nice! :cloud9:

Well, we have FINALLY come up with a name we both like :wohoo: (ONLY IF ITS A GIRL THAT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Even though we still have a long way to go pregy wise...we both like this name and decided!

RUBY-LEE EVELYN DANIELS

Ruby is the name we both like... but...we wanted to add the name lee in too coz its been in my mum's side of the family for generations...my grandfathers middle name is lee and has been passed down etc...its welsh and he is welsh! (On my dad's side they are Romainian/gypsies....so I have a mix of Welsh and Romainian!!!! WHAT A MIX!!!! VERY FIREY!!!!! ) Also we wanted to add Evelyn as the middle name coz its DH's mum's middle name and she has passed away. (her first name was Ethel! and there was no way I was going to name my daughter ETHEL!!!!!! sorry if anyones name is ethel or has a middlename as that.... )

So we are happy with that!~:yipee:

Hmmmmmm Ruby-lee, yes I think its the one!!!!!!

NOW WE JUST HAVE TO DECIDE ON A BOYS NAME!!!!!!!! BUT THERE IS PLENTY OF TIME FOR THAT!!!!!!!! :happydance:

TO START WITH MY COMPUTER KEEPS SAYING IM PARANOID...IM NOT ANYMORE....IT JUST WONT LET ME CHANGE IT! AS WELL AS THAT ITS HARD FOR ME TO PUT UP PHOTOS UNLESS I CAN GET THE URL.... Stupid computer :hissy:

Well, I could help myself! I went to the doctors yesterday! I had my bloods done and I booked myself in to see the OBGYN (we have private insurance) so my first appt is on the 5th June! :wohoo: EXCITING!!!!!!!!
Ive booked an early morning appt (8:30am is early for me!!!!!!!!) so that DH can come and then go to work afterwards! When we were pregy with jayden, he only came to 1 midwife appt...and that was nearly when it was TIME!!!! So this time around I want him to meet the OBGYN...he is a man...Dr Neil Shilton...people have said he is really nice! Good bedside manner! I cant stand Drs who dont have bedside manner and treat thier nurses like crap! (I was studdying to be a nurse until I found out I was pregy with Jayden!!!)

I assume that from there I will have my next scan done! Fingers crossed that everything goes ok!

So anyway, thought you would all like to knowthe slight update!

YUP...still feeling  although I have my good days...:happydance: :cloud9:
Oh yeah...I bought something the other day...a summer top! (even though its comming into winter over here!)...its strapless and has the baby doll look! anyway...it was $80 (FOR A TOP!!) but reduced to $19.95!!! :wohoo: So I bought it! I showed DH...he liked it and then whenI told him how much it was...and how much it had been reduced from...he liked it even better! typical guy!!!!!
When I work out how to put photos on...I will add it! Molly I might need your help again!
So on that note    :flower: :flower: :flower:  Byee!

Ruby-Lee Evelyn is pretty! I have an old old aunt named Ethel, it's quite an old fashioned name, don't see it often anymore (but who knows, maybe 20 years from now it'll be all the rage!) DH and i are totally stumped on names, i am convinced our baby will be born nameless and we will have to come up with one spur of the moment.

Sounds great you have an appointment booked :) just 2 weeks away!! I've booked my first appt. today as well, but their soonest was June 20 :dohh: quite a while to wait but i will manage i am sure!!

the top sounds nice ;) good snag!!! i love good deals like that, i think a good price cut does make it more valuable, if that makes any sense!!

I have finally changed the date on my signature! :happydance:
When I went for my scan they put me back about 3 days or so! Not sure what that means, but as long as bubs keeps growing, I dont care!

Last time I was 9 weeks thats when bubs stopped growing....so Im a little worried about getting past the 9 weeks stage this time and everything being ok! Im a tad bit stressed about it...but trying not to be...if that makes sence!

 feeling is still here! YUKKY....I forgot how gross I feel in the first few months! Im not a good pregy person! HORMONES RUN RAMPANT... POOR DH!
Anyway, eeew...my 2 year old (Jayden) just came up to me and he needs a bum change! Hes done poos! just makes me want to hurl! Normally Im pretty good with that sort of thing! But at the mo.....NOT GOOD!!!!!

Anyway, will update more once Ive been to the OBGYN...appointment is due on 5th June!
Take care

 guys...thanks for your posts!
I have been feeling quite sick STILL! :hissy: I want this sick feeling to go away :hissy:
Anyway, Drs apt went well! Im 10 weeks but the Dr has put me back to the period date... seeings that Im only a few days off the scan date! Anyway, he seems a nice Dr...very good bedside manner, which Im absolutely anal about! I dont like Drs that come in, do their thing, and go out! I have to have a good bedside mannered Dr!
Well Im at a cross roads at the moment...Dr Shilton said that I will need to have a c-section (as I cant deliver vaginally...hips and pelvous WAAAY too narrow)...thats fine...but he wants to deliver 10 days before my due date! Im in 2 minds about it...can any one give me any advice? What if bubs isnt ready to come out then? Should I just go ahead and ask if he can deliver me on the 30th of Dec (Which is what he has put my due date at!)??? WHAT SHOULD I DO???????? Or better yet are babies ready to come out then?
I must do some research! Google...here I come!!!!

Apart from that...Ive just been really tired! and I keep forgetting to eat something after I have been asleep...so then I feel gross when I get up from my nap! (actually its about a 3 hr nap!)

Im just loving icy poles at the moment! (they are the skinny ice blocks that you buy in a pack of about 30 for kids...they taste like frozen cordial...which isnt surprising as they are made from cordial and water) Not sure if you guys have those in UK or US...but they are certainly yummmy...and seem too do the trick for my ms
Take care and will update again soon....

Hey hun, sorry you're still feeling  - that's not very pleasant I'm sure. And great news that you've got a good doctor, I think it makes things so much easier if you have a doctor you get on with.

As for the c-section and early delivery dates, I honestly don't know hun. This is my first and I've not discussed any of this stuff with healthcare folks yet. Generally I believe that they know what they are talking about though, but definately go and do your research and don't be pressured into anything your not comfy about

cinderella08
Jun 8th, 2008, 14:15 PM
Did your doctor give any reasoning as to why he wants to deliver 10 days early?? This is also my 1st and I really don't know, but I wouldn't go for it unless the doctor had a good reason!! Maybe a few days early or late, but 10 days?

As far as the "icy poles" - popsicles here in the US I was addicted to them too!! They come in a huge bag of 38 here and in all different flavors and colors. I however have already been diagnosed with gestational diabetes and am not allowed sugar anymore - so there goes that craving!!

:hi: guys sorry to have not been around for a little while...I thought my M/S was going away and then it came back with avengence! GROSS!

But anyway, no news to report on the baby front...although Im going to a friends baby shower this afternoon...she is due next week and has EVERYTHING!!!!!! Her parents and her hubbys parents bought them everything BRAND SPANKING NEW!!!!!!!! Talk about lucky for some! :hissy: Yes Im somewhat jelous as no one did that for me when I had the first grandchild! poo! :hissy: Oh well...WHAT DO YOU GET SOME WHO HAS EVERYTHING!!! AND IS QUITE WELL OFF??? I just bought them a baby blanket...thinking you can never have enough of those! But we will see what else she gets when I go to the party! Im just waiting for a friend to pick me up!

Anyway, it doesnt do to think negetively! I wish her all the best! (This is her first child and she is going to try cloth nappies.... good luck to her! I hope she gets washer womans hands!  ) ANyway...Im just being nasty now! :muaha:

Well, Oh yeah...can I feel the baby moving already? Coz Im sure i can feel bubbles in my tummy! Unless its just gas! Oh well, I will feel bubs moving soon enough no doubt!

Take care girlies I have done some research and also double checked with the dr about delivering 10days before due date...he said it was so that it stops your body going into labour! And is perfectly natural! WHEW! Also bubs is fully formed as is lungs etc...so that good~I can relax now about it!
:flower: for you all!

well just a quick update...YUP, still feeling crook! boohoohoo!!
But I have found some real old fashioned HUMBUGS!!!!!! You know the ones that taste like aniseed? Oh they are soooooooo goooooood! They actually help me from feeling sick! I will definately will be going back for more!! YAY!!!!!

Im still craving coke-a-cola by the bottle!!!!!! There is something about the fresh taste and the bubbles! I craved bubbles too when I was pregy with jayden! I think it helps with the sick feeling! Oh Im just loving shandies! YES...I MAKE SURE ITS LIGHT BEER FIRST!!!! and then proceed to drown it with lemonaide!!! Just sooo good for when you are feeling yukky!

Nothing else to add execpt the baby shower went quite well actually! There were some good games that we played! I won the "SPIT THE DUMMY" game...you have to put a clean dummy in your mouth and then spit it the furtherest! I WON!!!!!! I have good lungs! (comes from yelling at Jayden! :winkwink: )
Anyway, hope every one is going well! Will write again soon!

I havent been on for a while as I think I must have jinxed myself! I got the morning sickness back! WHY DOES THAT NOT SURPRISE ME!!!!!!
Iam going to the OBGYN on thursday! So I will do a big update then! But for now I just want to chat! Im starting to feel ok during the day but still a bit queezy at nighttime...actually to be honest...it starts at exactly 6pm and then continues until about 8pm! So I have to lay down and just rest otherwise I feel grooss!

Something funny I must tell you...well...anyway...my son (who is 2) is going through a stage of not wanting to eat anything but sweet biscuits and lollies! (he gets a biscuit after he has eaten proper food as a reward...and lollies only on the odd ocasion (when I want to bribe him  )
Anyway, he does eat certain foods like rice...but not if it has got any veges in it! Anyway I swear he is like the cat when I try and hide his worm pill in his food! Jayden can eat around any vege that is mixed up in food! I try and hide a peice of vegetable underneath the spoonful of rice and chicken so that it at least goes in his mouth and then he eats around the vege and spits only the peice of carrot or whatever out WHILE he has a mouthful!!!!!!!!

KIDS!!!!! but I did think it was quite a talent!

 to you all and hope you are all doing ok!

Even though Iam feeling crook, I still feel a bit of a moo! Poor hubby has to put up with mood swings, no dinner (as the thought of cooking tea makes me feel queasy!), and other things....we havent :sex: for a while, but its just that I feel so crook, and tired... :sad2: I know Im hopeless...am I being hormonal? Im going to have another scan in a months time (19 weeks) to do a measurement and find out the baby's sex....poo! Why do I have to wait that long? :catguy: :sad2:
So Im going to have to wait until the middle of Aug before I know what we are having!......hmmmmmmm might try and get a sneaky scan in before then...

hey lady!

Glad LO is doing well. I had an NT scan at 13+5 and I asked the gender then. Hebe was not for flashing but the lady said from what she could see she would say it was a girl. I had another private one at 16 weeks specifically to get the gender and that was 95% accurate. The 20 week scan just confirmed what the other two said.

I would like to share with you all a hilarious email my girlfriend sent me...I thought that seeings as we all get this done...it would be fitting! :rofl:its sooo funny!

I was due for a smear with the doctor later in the week. Early one
morning, I received a call from the doctor's office to tell me that I had
been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am. I had only just packed
everyone off to work and school, and it was already around 8:45 am. The
trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn't have any time to
spare.

As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when
making such visits, but this time I wasn't going to be able to make the
full effort. So, I rushed upstairs, threw off my pyjamas, wet the
facecloth that was sitting next to the sink, and gave myself a quick wash
in that area to make sure I was at least presentable. I threw the
facecloth in the clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and
raced to my appointment.

I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was called in.
Knowing the procedure, as I'm sure you do, I hopped up on the table, looked
over at the other side of the room and pretended that I was in Paris or
some other place a million miles away. I was a little surprised when the
doctor said, "My, we have made an extra effort this morning, haven't we?"

I didn't respond.

After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home. The rest of
the day was normal - some shopping, cleaning, & cooking.

After school when my 7 year old daughter was playing, she called out from
the bathroom, "Mummy, where's my facecloth?"

I told her to get another one from the cupboard.

She replied, "No, I need the one that was here by the sink, it had all my
glitter saved inside it."

NEVER going back to that doctor ever!!

Well I thought that I would add some more thoughts to this journal! Ive gotten into the hang of it now!
At the moment Im still feeling  blerck!...... but I find that if I have some light beer, it seems to do the trick! Although in saying that, I can only drink about half the bottle and then I feel all wobbly in the legs!So then I put it back into the fridge and have the rest later in the day!
I know this sounds gross, but I have some after Ive had breakfast...about morning tea time...Im not normally a beer drinking person...but this light beer tastes good and helps me feel better I cant help myself!:wacko::wacko:
I wonder if it would be a craving of some sort! Strange!!!!!! My next appointment with the doctor is next month...Aug 11th! Thats when we will be doing a check up and a scan to do measuring? As well as the important thing...FIND OUT WHAT WE ARE HAVING!!!!!! Im going to do up a ticker to count down the days now!.....byeeeeeeee

Ok well I thought that I would let you all know how Im feeling as Im under alot of stress at the moment... and as we all know that is not good for a pregy lady!

As a few of you know, we are living underneath my mums cousin's place...its been converted into a two bedroom self contained unit! Ok now they were supposed to be helping us out until we got on our feet as what happens when you move when you are poor! Anyway, we have been paying our way (Its quite expensive for being family and for what the place is...there is no oven...no carpet...just lino (linoleum)...and there are gaps everywhere around all the doors so its freeezing...the laundry has only a security screen no wall and you have to walk through it to go into our bedroom and bathroom is off our bedroom...toilet is off the lounge...now when we arrived...dh helped do it all up with my cousins hubby....anyway...to cut a long story short...

They are now kicking us out! We missed paying rent twice...but that was when dh work was slow (he is a cabinet maker...contractor, so he relies on his boss to give him work...its the way they do it over here!)...we did tell her about it and would endevour to make up the payments...she said that is no problem at all, I understand...since then we havent missed a payment (2 missed payments in a year is pretty good I thought!)...but because they live above us and we have a toddler and Im pregy, I keep forgetting to give the money to her (its cash), so the rent has been late 1 or 2 days...so because of the way she works things out she has acumulated each time we were late and made it into another week that we owe her! :hissy: arrrgh...we never got given a rental tenancy guidebook (which over here you are supposed to no matter if its a private rental or agent)...anyway it has all your rights and stuff... They came down the other night and said we have to sign (oh and our rental aggreement finished in march08...we havent signed another) a piece of paper that says our rent will go up an extra $50 per week and we owe 3 weeks rent, and if we are late in paying rent they are taking legal action against us  and if we dont sign it Im sure they will take legal action against us too! Arrrrrgh :hissy: Im at my wits end and by the end of the evening I had stomache cramps and backache and couldnt sleep!

Im sorry to rant about all my problems, but I though maybe some of you out there could at least take my side and help me feel better that THEY are BARSTARDS!!!! At least just send me soome hugs as Im feeling quite low!

Im not the type of person who takes things personally...and I do understand that business is business...but I just thought it was a bit low to take legal action! YOu know?
The reason they are wanting us out, is so they can get professional people in and charge them more...she/they has never had children and dont understand...she was the one who said to me that why do I want to have another child when I cant even look after the one I have! Now trust me he is not malnourished and he is a very happy little boy! Very healthy and why should I justify anything to her! poo! She is just a :witch:
Suffice to say We havent signed the form they drew up! So dh is going through all our paper work (paying by cash makes it hard) that we kept (I now am soo glad dh is soo pedantic about bits of paper and reciepts)...so that we know where we stand legally...just in case...I normally dont fight...Im a lover! :) but this time...Im leaving it up to dh and see what he wants to do....oh thats abother thing, we have never been given a reciept to sign for the cash...she just waits until about 20 or weeks and then prints it all up on A4 like a statement!...Im sooo peeved its not funny and its not good for bubs or me..Im soo exhusted...

I would love to know your thoughts on the matter...even if its to slag off my cousin :rofl: well actually she is my 2nd cousin...so we arent close! Any thoughts or hugs would be greatly appreciated!

Aw hun that's awful - I hate people like that - I know it's business but surely they can understand ur situation a bit and come to some sort of agreement. Sounds like they're not worth the hassle. Are there any citizen advice type organizations where you are? Perhaps they can help u with what rights u have, especially since they're pulling nasty tricks. It's def not the type of stress u need when pg:hugs:

Look at ur bump - it's lovely, and kicks as well, so cool, bet ur landed!

YAY...finally last night I got a nice kick (or poke) from the lil bean last night! Up until then I havent really felt anything concrete...you know? Im not sure if it was because Im running around after a toddler and just dont have the time to sit still for any long period of time and rest! I know Im forever telling others to rest and put their feet up...but...Im sure they are pregy with their 1st babies!

Anyway, last night Jayden had FINALLY gone to sleep and I had finished stalking people on BnB...I decided to just lie down and not move (Usually I go to bed and conk out straight away coz Im sooooo tired!) and not go to  I had my hands on my tummy just sitting and I was whispering to dh about how I wasnt sure if I had been feeling bubs move or whether it was gas! He thought it was gas! of course he would! Anyway, I suddenly got a kick! I was really excited...I told dh and he said thats good and rolled over and went to sleep! But I was smiling to myself for the rest of the night...:happydance:

Just thought that I would share with you all! Coz I was getting a little worried about not feeling anything at all! I know you dont start counting movements until 30 or so weeks...but I at least wanted to feel something!!!!:mrgreen::mrgreen:

I got pretty much no sleep and kept waking up thinking oh no I have to wait until I start bleeding before I go to the drs.... and oh it was just sooo confusing!

Typical dream! Glad dreams arent real!!!!!! Whew! I think it must have been those chips and chocy bikkies I ate while I was watching telly before I went to bed! And I didnt even eat CHEESE this time!!!!!!!

Ive been on a website to find out what developement bubby is at...if you know what I mean...and it was saying that if your placenter is anterior, (implantation occured close to your belly...which mine is) then you wont feel bubs move as much until your 22 weeks...so thats a relief...\\:D/[

well, i just wanted to share to you all out there...
Last night my little 2and 1/2 year old little boy Jayden had a little fever...he has a little cold...so I gave him the baby nurofen and he settled down and so did the temp...as its winter over here at the moment, he has been sleeping in our bed! :shhh: dont tell my mother!

anyway I awoke to him mumbling and waving his arms around...I thought he was having a bad dream, but when I touched him he was hot...so I thought as he didnt respond to me talking to him he was a bit delirious...(I popped on the light as this started at 3am this morning, so it was pitch black!)...anyway he started convulsing! BOY WAS I SCARED!!!!! But funnily enough I didnt panic...DH did a bit though (bless him)...and when he started convulsing I knew something wasnt right and got DH to ring the Ambo's (ambulance)...so to cut a long story short...(Jayden stopped convulsing after about 3 mins)..the Ambo guys arrived and me and Jayden got to have a ride in the Ambulance to the childrens hospital!

When we arrived there they gave him some panadol (baby)...and took his temp etc etc...we were in observation for a few hours until they were satisfied Jayden was ok...Thats when I colapsed and when I went into the loo, I had a cry!...He is ok now although he has a infection from the cold he has sore throat etc...so he is on a course of antibiotics! Poor wee thing...has not been well at all, but Im hoping that he will come right with the antibiotics and panadol...What a night!
I didnt realise how exhusted I was until me and Jayden were lying on the bed together and we fell !

Anyway, we arrived home again 830am and me and Jayden promptly fell asleep! The drs said to watch him for the first 24 hrs incase of another convulsion...and if he had another one to bring him straight back in! So they can reasess his situation!

So far so good.......
I would never wish someone to go through this with their own child as its very scary and even for me (I dont panic easily) was a little panicy feeling. I could imagine it being very easy for someone to panic...especailly when something like this has never happened before and you dont know what to do!

So here are a few pointers to remember in case....

*Dont do CPR
*There is nothing you can do but let the seisure/convulsion finish, but take note of what happens so you can tell drs/medical staff
*Dont try and put the convulsing child/baby into cold water...dangerous!
*Ring Ambulance immediately
*Make sure they are on the floor or bed and there is nothing around them to hurt them!
*STAY CALM ( I know its hard!)
*Dont put anything into their mouth!!!!! (spoons or fingers) They will not swallow their tounge!

The Dr gave us info on what happens etc...it said that it doesnt matter how long the febral convulsion lasts for even ones that last an hour will not do serious brain damage...just make sure to take note of whats going on.

So that was our evening! Glad to say that he seems to be ok now and is eating his dinner! :yipee: But BOY WHAT A SCARE!!!!!!! Never been so scared! Makes me get teary even now!

:yipee: We went window shopping today! I only say window shopping coz I was looking to see what was around and what we wanted for baby stuff!:yipee:
In another fortnights time Im aloud to go shopping for stuff!! YAY :wohoo: So we have decided that instead of getting a bassinette (which in my mind, looks flimsey...and could easily be accidently tipped over by a toddler trying to peep in at bubby!)...we are getting a rocker-bassinette... sorry hard to explain! But its a little like a bassinette and a cot...wooden like a cot with bars etc...but smaller than a cot ....I think its a tiny bit bigger than a bassinette too!
So once we get that...I will post picies! I have seen the cutest clothes too, from Big W and of course in Pumpkin Patch!
Oooh Im getting excited now! Seeings as Im actually looking to buy ...soon...
We need to get so many things, but here are a few:
*Pram
*Carseat
*Bassinette-Cot thingy
*Nappy Bag
I had fun yesterday while Jayden was asleep writing down a HUGE list of all the stuff we need to get! Including clothes etc...then I wrote up a hospital bag list....hehehe  I was having fun writing up all the things I would need etc :shhh:
I found that the hospital where I would be delivering would be providing all the nappies and little t-shirts for bubby while we are there! So I dont need to pack too much stuff for him! Maybe just some cute little all-in-ones for Pjs...EXCITING!!!!!!!!! I told Gary today, that he can choose the "going home" outift if he would like too! I chose Jayden's one (I still have it  ), so if he would like to choose the new bubbys one that would be nice! I also said that he can choose the baby journal if he wants to! (He normally just leaves things up to me to sort out!) But he was quite excited about it! I said that he didnt have to show me the outift before he bought it...just bring it home and show me! I just told him what size, and that coz they are normally wrapped up in a blanket not to get something too grown up, as no one would see it!...I said to him get something like that when bubby is a little older! And then people can see him wearing it out shopping or wherever! So he said ok...and was quite happy with that!
Im getting excited about it all now....although Im sure I get pregnancy depression instead of post-neatal depression...im just not a good pregy lady! My hips and joints hurt (have rhuematics) and I feel ulgy and fat! And I especially have the pregy waddle! I walk like a duck!
Oh well!
Me and DH have come to a decision that seeings as I get so ill and sore (hips and joints) we are not going to have any more children! As well as that I have to keep having c-sections...and 2 children are more than enough for me to handle... So 2 boys is it! Im actually ok about it...I would rather be a great mum to 2 kids, than a ratty, grumpy and just plain exhusted one to 3....hope you know what I mean! :shy: I have to be on medication, so for me to be pregy I need to come off them...so to be responsible, I dont want to make it harder than it already is for Gary! Poor guy :awww: puts up alot with me not being on my meds! Jayden is ok coz he still doesnt even care ....if you know what I mean!
So Im counting down the days until I can go shopping! Im going to leave Jayden at home for the day with his dad and Im going shopping with a friend by myself!!!!! CHILD FREE!!!!! :wohoo::wohoo: Cant wait!

My toddler is really active and being naughty today on top of it all! So my patience (not that I had any before!) is wearing thin!!!!!!!!!!!! :hissy::hissy::hissy::hissy: Things are always worse when you are in pain!

Im going to go and lie down and get Jayden to come with me in my bed and read some books so I can keep an eye on him...he isnot old enough for me to leave him to his own devises! He gets into things! :argh:

just thought I would have a moan! I need some DRUGS but unfortunatley I cant take them while pregy! So I have to make do with stinky useless panadol and deep heat! I might talk to the dr about it actually when I go for my next visit next week! He might be able to advise me as to what I can do!

will pop in and stalk you all again soon! When Im feeling better!

Wendy...yes it is in my family! UNFORTUNATELY!!!!! Its terrible when the weather changes too! Im like an old lady who knows when its going to rain coz she can 'feel it in her bones' DH says Im a barometer! :sulk:

YAY....23 weeks.....ooh that reminds me I must book myself in for a 4D scan in the next couple of weeks! Over here you wait until youre 24 weeks onwards...but no later than 30 weeks otherwise bubby is too big to see all in one shot!

Congrats on the 23 weeks!!! 1 more week and bubs is viable!! :happydance:
You seem to be feeling better, that's great! I had knee surgery a few years ago 'cause of soccer and I tend to be able to feel the weather in that knee too, but no where near that bad... Poor thing, must be horrible in pregnancy!!! :hugs: :hugs:
Let us know about that scan date so we can count down! :D
:hugs: have a great day!!!

Ok, well I might be just over reacting (a pregy woman who over reacts...NOOO!!!)...but my tummy seems to have gone soft!!!! I dont feel as pregy as I was when I was pregy with DS!
Im sure my tummy has gone down a bit! I mean I know I still look pregnant, but Im just pregnant from my belly button down! I havent got that FULL TUMMY yet!!! Im just wondering whether I should be worrying or what! Im going to the drs on Monday, so I guess I can get him to check things out!

But I just thought I would be more full...although I do get people asking me if Im due soon...I say Dec and they are  so maybe I am just slightly panicking! I guess it doesnt help that I dont feel his little kicks as much as my placenta is anterior...nor that DH cant feel anything when he puts his hand on my tummy! Although when he puts his head on my tummy he swears he can hear things  I think its just his imagination...and just my tummy rubbling after eating too much!

Just thought I would put my worries out there and hopefully someone will answer! :shy:

'Allo :hi: sounds like I found you just in time. :D

You're panicking Mrs and I don't think you need to be. :hugs: Baby moves around all over the place and although s/he does have a fave position sometimes s/he'll fancy a change of scenery y'know? Maybe watch your bladder filling up for an hour or so; that kind of thing. Also when your organs are shifting, then things are gonna be changing almost daily I should think. I reckon it's just a period of adjustment making way for your next growth spurt. Next you'll be worrying that there's not enough room in there for your Bundle.

How're your hips and knees today? I can totally sympathize sweetie as I have a right bad back and it's getting topped up this pregnancy by sciatica which is fun. I recognize the old dear predicting the weather, me and my OH are like one of those weather houses; when it's sunny the man comes out, when it's rainy the woman comes out.

Hope you don't mind me dropping in? :D

Haha we're thinking along the same lines!! Mine puts his head on my belly and thinks he hears things!! Secretly im thinking to myself "yeap thats dinner sloshing around" LOL

Dont panic about your bump hun, see what they say when you go docs on monday but im sure its nothing to worry about. Mines only been getting harder and harder the last 2 weeks and only just now its pretty solid!!

Hi honey!
I'm the queen of paranoia, its kinda good to read it doesn't only happen to first time mum's!! :shy: But Im' w/ Angelmouse, I'm SURE its nothing. At least you only have to wait the weekend and then you can get some professional reassurance.
Hope you have a loverly one!

I would say a soft bump could mean that baby is 'back to back' like my little monkey.
I've got an anterior placenta too. Mine is soft alot of the time - esp when sat back or laid down. When I stand it goes hard again.

If you're worried, check it out properly tomorrow. xx

THANKS GIRLS SOO MUCH!!!!!!!!
Angelmouse, of course I dont mind you popping in! I love having people visit my journal!!!

Well, today I had to change my appt to go to the drs as hubby has had to work! :grr: and as we only have one car, so Im now going on Fri...well..you see the prob! Anyway, trying to keep positive!

Although at the moment Im about to :grr:
The reson why is coz our toilet and our bathroom are in 2 different places in the house! (the bathroom is like an ensuite) so the toilet has its own little vanity which is off the computer nook! Anyway...the tap in the toilet has been leaking all week...and the plumber (who is my cousins hubby...who lives upstairs) because he hurt his back cant fix the leak (which is quite bad) until sometime this week!!!!!! :grr:
So while I have to use up all my towels (we dont have many)...around the tap itself as its leaking around the back of the tap...its one of those flip handles...and on the floor...the toilet smells damp, musty and a litle like a mens public toilet! YUK!!! :hissy: I keep trying to clean the loo but its not the loo that smells! Anyway...:dohh: what can you do???

Also, I got Gary (dh) to help me with clearing out Jaydens room to make way for baby stuff and to make it look a bit cool...we are going to put his bed back into his room! He is in ours at the moment! So...still have to add a few things to it...but once they are in then the bed will be going back!

We spent yesterday doing the same thing with rooms. :D Charlie is going to be moving into a big bed soon so we've reassembled Stefans old Cabin bed for him. It's very cool but it sadly means that Stef had to move into the small room 8-[ and he isn't very chuffed about it. Nevermind, he'll get used to it. :D

Can you not get another plumber to fix your leak? It sounds horrid. :hugs:

Oh Ack, we only have one car as well and having to ask OH to work Saturdays just so he can take me to the hospital during the week, really sucks. Besides anything I hate it when he works Saturdays. :hissy:

Do you think Jayden will be pleased about going back in his own room?

Well girls...baby Ollie is doing well so far! :winkwink: Apart from measuring on the large side (a week ahead of what he is supposed to be)...he seems to be doing well!
He certainly is doing lots of kicking! So its nice to know hes doing well! Gary and Jayden still havent been able to feel him kicking around...although Jayden puts his little hand on my tummy and then goes ooh...and points to my tummy...then he puts his head on my tummy to listen to the baby! SOO CUTE!! Hes been watching daddy do that!
Apart from that I have to go and get my glucose test done next week! Blerk!!! Its revolting! That sweet drink they make you have is really gross!
Im now starting to suffer from the effects of the dreaded heartburn...even whenever I eat something small! Like a peanut butter and golden syrup sandwhich...nom..nom...nom!
Anyway, will update more as I remember stuff! my brain is terrible!:dohh:

:hissy: at the moment Im really hacked off! :hissy:
I rang DH to find out how far away he was going to be from coming home tonight and he then tells me that he had to go to another job, to help out a work mate....:grr: Im not impressed as he seems to always be doing that...he is working tomorow (sat) all day...so Im stuck at home again all day!!!!! ITS DOING MY HEAD IN!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know he needs to earn money to pay bills etc......but this is frustrating! He could have rung me! But no!! I said to him doesnt his workers know Im pregy and need a break from an active toddler and it is ok to just say no once in a while!!!!!!!!! MEN!!!!!!! He will go out of his way to do things for his work mates, but cant even do anything for me!!!!!! *sigh* Im really worked up about this...its really upset me (this sort of thing doesnt normally...so I know its hormonal!)...Im sooo tired and Im the only one who does anything around the house, he cant even do the dishes and look after our 2 year old if I go out for a couple of hours!!!!!! HE HAS NO IDEA!!!!!!!!!

Yep, I know Im ranting, but I have to let it out!!!!!!!! :grr::grr::grr: There are so many things i have to get organised before this baby arrives and of course its all up to me to sort it out!:cry::cry:
