Michy's Pregnancy Diary

Well I miss my TTC journal, so have decided to start a pregnancy version!

We had been TTC for 5 months and got our BFP on Monday 21st April! I was only 9dpo then and am only 11dpo now!

So still very early.

I feel totally exhausted and am getting bad headaches. I have also had hot flushes from around 7 dpo. Other than that, not really had any symptoms.

I also feel like AF is going to start any second and am running to the loo every 10mins in a panic!!

I pray this is a sticky bean, it is soooo very wanted :cloud9:

I know for the first week i knew i was pg i kept getting cramps like AF was coming and i was constantly checking for her. But its normal so try not to panic

Now for the real waiting game!! 1st tri ... 2nd tri ... 3rd tri lol

12 dpo and still on Knicker watch!!

Feeling fine today, but had a lay in till 9am!

Still getting a few twinges, but they seem to be easing off now.

A/F was due to start Tuesday/Wednesday so now Its Thursday I am officially late!!!!!!!!!!!

Temp soared up to 98.44, so my chart is starting to look triphasic - very exciting!!!

I still cannot believe this is happening :happydance:

Been having quite a few twinges today, am soooo scared AF is going to start.

I went to the doctors when i was almost 5 weeks, just to get the ball rolling. You can go whenever you like though hun

I don't think I have got a sticky bean girls. Did a preg test thismorning (I know It's ridiculous) and it's barely positive at all. Line is soooooooooooo faint.

I did have a feeling this would happen.

Mich - dont do any more tests. Girls over here keep doing this and worrying them selves for nothing. It doesnt mean its not sticking. Just wait and see.
My sister had the most horrific period pains for weeks. she was absolutely convinced she would come on and she didnt.

Just have a relaxing day, try not to worry too much and wait and see.

:hugs: Michy, i don't really feel ANYTHING. bbs aren't sore...they just seem firm but they don't hurt. I dont have cramping, no sickness, no nothing. I wee in the middle of the night lol and that's about it. I figure it's still too early to really be feeling a lot :) let's hope we can get through this week, eh? I'm sure we can make it through ok!!

Thanks hun, it's the fact that things have changed for me tho darlin, that coupled with the fainter preg test is making me assume the worst.

I'm still confused to be honest, I think that at 14dpo (yesterday) with fmu I should have got a nice strong positive, not the weakest one yet.

It just doesn't seem right.

Boobs still hurting today, and I had a little sleep this afternoon, but I still really don't "feel" preggers any more.

I am sooo irritable too, just like I get before AF.

I hope I am making all this up and worrying for nothing.

The plan is to wait till I would be a week late- which is Wendesday and do a digital then, I should know either way then and can go to the doctors knowing what to say!

I have read lots of times that preg tests should not be used to determine "how" pregnant you are, but I have also read that women miscarrying often get a negative tests after a positive. Although to be honest, it wasn't negative, there was a very very faint line there that came up in 2 mins.

I just wish I knew either way really.

Still I have had no real pain and no blood, and I thought I would have by now.

:hugs: nice to see you're atleast being a bit more positive today :D. i am sure a digi test on Wednesday will come up pos ;)! good luck! And about "not feeling preggers" ...i definitely don't feel preggers, but since i've not bled or spotted any...i am assuming things are going on as normal. Just wait a couple weeks and i bet it'll all dawn on us with full force :rofl:

At first i was dying for a symptom of some description just so i would feel pregnant. Its still so early hun so purrrrrrrrrrlease try not to worry.

Temp was still up thismorning, boobs still hurting too!

Last night I had my first new taste bud experience - I took a mouthful of trifle and it was disgusting, like gone off meat or something. It's normally my favourite dessert, but I couldn't eat any of it!

I still like tea and coffee tho - decaff of course!

My CM has increased some what today too, going back to being creamy like it was last week. It has dried up over the weekend, which I thought was another bad sign!

Still no pain or anything horrible, am going to pick my digi up this afternoon, after work.

Surely tho if my hcg had started to fall before Saturday (causing a faint preg test) wouldn't I have some other sign by now? I think it falls quite quickly when you are very early on doesn't it?

I hope so.

im sure ur ok i didnt have no symptoms either the only thing that nmade me feel pregnant was the fact that i had no :witch: symtoms either i was just normal...

try not to worry its not good for u get drs if u can i went the day i got my bfp just to make sure

If it does fall when you're so early on, in most cases you'd start to bleed pretty quick.

Hey girls, much the same today - bloody nackered, but still no sickness at all!

I am crying more, sometimes out of frustration because I feel so pissed off about nothing in particular (yesterday it was because Matt was late home ffs! I'm so not normally like that!) I'm also crying at anything remotely sad.

DH - desperate housewives made me cry twice on wednesday and how to look good naked made to blub too!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hubby was just saying to me about 10 mins ago 'I wonder what Moog and Merv will make of the baby??' Moog will be her usual indignant self and Mervyn will LOOOOOVE a baby!!

I am sure Bailey knows, infact I think he knew before we did! The Sunday before I got my BFP (on the Monday) he was being really odd with me, wouldn't leave my side, wanted to be on my lap all the time, he was just being really loving and OTT!!

Well no change on the sickness front today, I have an awful cold which is making me feel poo, but apart from that I feel fine.

Had a really good sleep last night - from 11pm till 9am thismorning which I needed!

Boobs still tender, but I have no other symtoms at all!

Hmmmmmm I *think* I am having my first light waves of ms.

I've never been one to worry, but since getting my BFP I have turned into the biggest one going!!

I did my hubbys nut in for the first 13weeks!!!!! Once I'd had my NT scan I started to chill a bit. Now I'm feeling her I feel very much 'in to it'.

I seem to be getting increasing amounts of CM too, yesterday my knickers felt slightly damp :blush: I think I am going to have to get some panty liners!!!

It's not like normal CM tho, its very very watery!

I have noticed that and im still getting a lot of it now ... still makes me panic even at 8 weeks that the :witch: has been tricking me all this time and has turned up :rofl:

The jigsaw tickers are weird because they say 5.blah blah days you think of 5 weeks and 5 days ... but they split a week into 10 and not 7 so it looks odd

Dont worry about the CM - I've had some crazy CM recently. Today I've had that feeling like when you know you've come on and you leg it to the loo but its just weird CM.

Well, I have had to tell work today, had a letter sent in by one of the girls in my class, she has slapped cheek syndrome, we think a few of the others have had it too.

So I have been sent home and I have to go and have a blood test now to see if I am immune or If I have caught it.

If I have caught it, there is a 15% chance of miscarriage in the first 20 weeks :cry:

Well I have had my bloods done and I have to go back on Monday to have more done. They have to take them 48hrs apart to see if you have caught it or are immune to it.

Feeling a bit sicky thismorning, it's very mild but deffo there, think I need some breaky.

Deffo had my most sicky day yet today, not actually been sick, but have had strong waves of it.

It feels different to what I thought it would feel like, I guess it's wierd to feel sick, but not ill!!!

I am sooo hot today, normally I LOVE the heat, but I've never been this hot in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!

I find im kinda uncomfy in this heat, i dont seem to able to sit in the sun for long, i have to keep sitting in the shade.

Not much of a tan for me this summer then ...

the weather here has been rainy ever since i came home! I don't mind it all too much but i think ive caught MAJOR allergies (due to being prego, i am sure! i NEVER had allergies before). Hope you've been feeling well and haven't been getting too many nasty prego side effects!

I'm really not suffering too badly thanks hun and am trying to enjoy every day!

Well after feeling so sick last night, tonight I don't feel sick AT ALL. Very odd! Am trying not to read too much into it!!!!!

I was getting all stressed about when my 20 week scan would be - its due over half term but we're away. I wanted to avoid the weeks when the big GCSEs are on - I said this to the person on the ultrasound dept trying to explain how you cant just take days off when you work in a school and how I needed to be there as its a really important time for the kids.....she reminded me that its an important time for my child too....you cant really argue with that can you....

I've had such a relaxing day today, pottered all morning, walked the dogs, sat in the sun, went for a nap ( which lasted 3 hours thisarvo) cooked dinner and am now watching TV with my hubby.

What a life! I wish I never had to work again!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't feel that sick again tho - worry, worry, worry.

Well I've just booked myself an early scan for Friday 23rd May at 10.40am!

I decided I wanted one for a little bit of peace of mind, so I have just gone for it!

I should be 8 weeks by then and if all is well and they can see the heartbeat then my risk of miscarriage will go down to 2%.

So 9 days to go till my scan! :happydance:

woohoo! congrats on a scan date :happydance: i just now called the clinic for an appointment...and one person transfered my call to someone, who transfered it again, and transfered it AGAIN BACK to the first person i called grrr! :hissy: crappy clinic!

oh yea, we are 7 weeks today, lovely! :happydance: can't believe how fast time is flying!!!

YAY!!! A scan!!! At 8 weeks you should be able to see the HB hopefully and you'll feel LOOOOOOOADS more confident.

Dunno what the gunk was but I've produced some fairly random squidgyness ever since I got my BFP!!! Mention it at you appointment hun but I'm sure nothing at all to be concerned about.

Haven't been around much, things have been a little busy!

I am feeling fine still, don't feel sick at all today, I've been waking up feeling sick lately, but this morning absolutely nothing.

Oh I am sooo gutted.

Got my results back today and it shows that I did catch parvovirus ( fifths disease, slapped cheek syndrome,).

The doctor was very serious with me and basically I could now misscarry any point up to 20weeks. I wont be safe till I have had that 20 week scan.

I'm so worried I don't know what to do with myself.

oh my god! big hugs, are they going to keep a close eye on you?

I don't really know. I am going in for another chat with the doctor at 3.20.

I asked about extra scans and she said no, because that in itself poses an extra risk.

She has booked me a consultation with the OBS and she wants to see me weekly for the next couple of weeks.

just dont let them fob you off.

Yep Friday is the first stage. The doc said I was fine going for that scan and she said they were really excellent, which has made me feel positive.

I know it's not the end of the world and peeps have to go through far worse, but any extra possibility of loosing your baby is a bit of a blow.

Of course it is sweetie but at least now you know you HAVE caught it rather than it being left unknown ... if you have it and no one knows, no one can help if something went wrong. At least now you can get the help you might well need

Nearly 8 weeks - yay. It seemed to take ages to get to 6 weeks but now the time seems to be going quite quickly!

I am nervous about Friday, but it will be wonderful if I get to see my bean :cloud9:

Oh I forgot to say, I have had typical morning sickness the past 2 mornings. About half an hour after I get up I experience this overwhelming feeling that I am going to be sick. I end up head down the loo for about a min just bringing up yellow bile (sorry tmi) and after it's finished I feel fine!!

I feel slightly sick through the day if I eat too much or not enough, little and often is deffo the way forward.

OMG I can't believe I am having a scan tomorrow, I am mega nervous and mega excited at the same time!

Was sick again this morning and felt rough till around half 10 when I managed some toast, have been fine all day since.

8 weeks today - gosh it seems to be going fast :happydance:

Well for the first time I really FEEL pregnant this week.

I feel sick most of the day and am being sick 2-3 times each day.

I can only eat dry crackers, weetabix, potato and fruit, anything else seems to come straight back up! :rofl:

I am sleeping soooo much too, getting up about 9 (as am on half term) and by 12 I am ready for a snooze! :rofl:

I can't go into the kitchen without heaving and I don't like the smell of anything anymore, I'm even struggling to wear freshly washed clothes, because of the smell of the fabric conditioner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am going to try to upload the video of my bean later. :cloud9:

Oh god I am sooo sick. Haven't managed to get out of bed yet today, and have only kept down 2 pieces of dry toast.

My whole body aches, am throwing up, have a headache and am finding it exhausting just to roll over in bed.

I seem to be coming out of it a bit now, am wondering if I have had some kind of bug on top of ms which has just done me in.

Feeling ok now have got up and haven't been sick since about 3pm.

I've bought some boiled sweets and they seem to be helping.

I feel fine today, not even had any ms!

Eeek, I am either feeling awful, or worrying that I am not feeling awful!

Feeling awful again today, so tired and so sick.

Had my first antenatal app with my doc and she checked me all over and said everything looks fine, so that is good.

She also signed me off work for 2 weeks, if i need it. If I feel like this Monday, I'm not sure how I will cope at work. The only toilet is the other end of the building to my classroom:cry:

Feeling a bit crap, I really didn't want to be a sicky pregnant person!! Although if it means the bean is nice and healthy then I don't mind one bit!

I'd LOVE 2 weeks off!!!! Take it darling.

If you need it sweetie then take it ... get some rest, build your strength back up and by then you'll be 11 weeks and hopefully everything will be starting to ease up

I say take the time!! Who knows when you'll have another chance like that. Rest up and enjoy. Congrats on 9wks!!

Am sooo exhausted too, didn't get out of bed till 11.30 and I could easily go back to sleep right now.

Hope this means that bean is strong and healthy, I can hack anything as long as bean is doing well.

I'm not feeling quite as awful as yesterday, have only been sick once this morning, but the sheer exhaustion is still just as strong, am still really glad I am not at work.

You know from 7 until about 10 was the worst for me then after 10 it slowly slowly picked up.

Now i feel sick prob once a day but am only actually sick maybe once a week. So the end of the sickness is in sight hun!!

Yay another brill scan, everything as it should be. Measuring 10 weeks today at 32mm!

Baby has really developed since last time, I could see its arms and legs and when she prodded my tummy it had a good dance about - very cute indeed!

Glad it went ok though and lil bean is actually starting to turn into a baby!! YAY!!

I couldn't believe how much it looked like a baby this time! Twas really amazing, the difference in 2 weeks!

Not much to report here, still rough as hell. Had matt's nans funeral on Friday, which I just about managed, but it did me in. Went to bed at around 3pm on Friday afternoon and didn't get up till 4pm Saturday (except to throw up of course).

Was hoping to get back to work this week, but I don't think I'll push it and I'll just see how I feel in a few days.

Thanks darlin, tis ok, I really don't care as long as beany is healthy. I was kind of expecting it tbh (which is why i was so worried when I didn't have any in the early stages) because my mum was hospitalised with me for over 2 months her sickness was so bad.

I'm not that bad tho, am keeping some food and water down now at least!

Had my first home visit from the midwife this morning - all went fine, she is really nice and my next appointment is for the 15th July.

Had had another scan date too - next Wednesday, the 18th June, they are supposed to be doing a detailed scan or something to put my mind at rest with regards to the parvo!

Belated congratulation Michy, I am just caatching up on peoples journals and your has been a real rollercoaster for 12 weeks, you've really worried at some points and my heart went out to you but now I can practically see you bouncing around and grinning to yourself. I've ste myself a challenge of guessing everyone on the journals baby I was pretty sure first of that you had a boy but reading through I have confidently switched to a girl lol. Will you be finding out what you are having?

I might have to make a list somewhere so i can remember what I guessed for who lol.

Urrghhh what a bloody night! Had to crawl to the bathroom on my hands and knees many times, had awful upset tummy and was being sick.

Feel soo drained now, I could go back to bed and I only got up 2 hours ago, I think it's going to be one of those days :cry:

You poor love, I know how you feel. Sometimes with the sickness previously I would find myself sat on the bathroom floor unable to move after I swear I had just retched up part of my life force. (Couldn't think of a better word than life force, sorry). You just sit there head in hands thinking 'this can't be real, its not meant to be this bad'

Well I've been back to work for the past 2 days and it has absolutely killed me! :rofl: I feel like the most pathetic pregnant person on the planet!!

I go to work and come home and go to bed and then go to work again. I am in bed now and when I've drifted off I doubt I shall wake before tomorrow morning!

On a positive note I don't think the sickness is as bad as it was, I am still being sick around 5 times throughout the morning, but it seems to ease off in the afternoon and I just feel a bit sicky without being sick.

Am not going to school tomorrow as I have my scan and bloods in the morning and my head has said I can go home and sleep after that.

Scan was ace, am measuring 12 weeks today at 5.4cm!!!

We got 4 good pics, one of the back where you can see the spine and ribs, baby was moving and waving its hands in the air :cloud9:

Saw the consultant too and he wants me to have another scan in 2 weeks time, so that is the next milestone.

Sorry girlies, just been totally tied up in work. I mark Sats papers every year and the dealine for finishing was today. Because I had been so poorly I had really fallen behind and I basically have had to mark none stop since last Friday, they are all done and gone now tho so I'm back!!:happydance:

I'm not feeling too bad, still being sick in the mornings, but managing to get through the day ok, with maybe a one or two hour sleep when I get home from work.

I can't believe I am 13 weeks today, the last couple of weeks seem to have flown! Last few nights I have felt bubbly feeling in my lower tum, but I don't know if it is too soon.

My next scan is for 3 weeks time on the 16th July. I'll be 16 weeks then and so LO should look quite different!

I'm really tempted to buy a fetal doppler at the moment, but don't know which one to go for!

OMG I totally remember feeling exactly like that at work when I was about your stage. I had like a meltdown and couldnt even speak. After I'd calmed down and people asked me what went wrong, I couldnt actually think of anything - I just felt totally overwhelmes and out of control. Hey girls, had my blood results back today, shows I am anaemic, midwife says she wants me to make a docs appointment straight away, so I have one for tomorrow morning at 9.10am.

I was kind of expecting it, have been so exhausted, feel like I have been dragging my ass around!!!!

Get some iron into yourself and you'll start to feel a lot better. :hugs:

Oh, I know this one :D it's Red Lentils and Spinach are the best also Cheese, even vege cheese. I'm fairly sure it carries some of the B vits that are helpfull with that. Drinking OJ with your meal is meant to help too, as it helps with iron absorbtion. I'm sure you knew that already anyway so I'll just back away from the soap box now. :blush: :lol:

Awww thanks darlin! I have been to the docs thismorning and she has put me on iron tabs and told me to buy some dried apricots and drink plenty of orange juice!!

She did say it would take at least 3 weeks till I felt better so I shall have to keep dragging my lardy ass round till then!!:rofl:

I'm a veggie burger too and I felt loads better within a week of starting the iron tabs Mich.

Someone told me really low down, almost to the point where you think there's no way you;d get anything. On the knicker line. Start in the middle. Hold it in one place and then rotate it round in the same spot before moving at a tiny bit left or right. I didnt find anything but I had one of the dodgy ones that dont work anyway plus an anterior placenta!! Oh and you're doing better than I did - I couldnt find my own HB!!

It sounds like you need to take it easy for a day or two. Drink plenty of water and sleep as much as you can.
