The Beginning.
Well we found out I was Pregnant on 22nd Feb, over the moon.:wohoo:
Told OH's DD on the Sunday, who then told her OH. As she's always wanted to be big sis, she told her side of family (just couldnt keep it in :dohh:) I'm just glad she's so pleased. :cloud9:
I've has morning sickness, sore bb's, cramps, dizziness and still got them.
Me and OH went into town not long after finding out. He surprised me in being interested in looking at prams and things. Decided on the Silver Cross 3D in Coast. Got to get seatbelts changed in the back of the Jeep though as there not big enough to go around car seat. Been told this is possible and cheeper than buying another car!
Me and my mam went into town and got some cute little bits. Got my free bag from Boots. Scratch mits, bibs, a nice thick coat with matching hat and mittens, soo cute. End of shopping for now. Oh, maybe not a nice maternity top on sale in mothercare
8+2 wks
Well at the moment i'm compleatly confuzzled:dohh:
1st app at the midwife yesterday, was dreading it. She was lovely, put my mind at ease about a few things.
Chose where we are hopefully going to have bean - midwife lead unit.
Got to see a consultant as I have Duplex kidney (3 fully working kidneys, instead of 2!) so waiting for app for that - not too concerned though.
Given drop-in times for the Physio incase i have trouble with my back, have had problems towards the end of last year.
We went to the midwife thinking I was 6+2wks and came out 8+1wks!
Midwife took the dates from the first day of my last period, not counting for my 42 day cycles. Giving us the 20th Oct. As when I calculated on: http://www.askdramy.com/pcalctry.html it gave me a due date of 2nd Nov (accounting for 42 day cycle).
So now nearly all the family know. OH's side, DD side, close family on my side, a few friends and work.
I wanted to keep quiet for now as petrified something will go wrong. But its not just my decision.
How sweet, DD came this evening with a 'your going to be a mum' card, addressed to me, OH and pooch! The pooch definatly knows, he's been so strange with me.
Well its been a long post sure I'll think of some more eventually. Totally rubbish at keeping a Journal. Bye for now.

8 weeks 5 days
Well have started to tell my side of the family, gettin calls and txts of congrats. Still feels strange, that we actually done it, were pg! :yipee:
Been having terrible sickness , find its worse when I havnt eaten, so got to make myself eat when I feel so sick with pains and wouldnt 'normally' eat. Relief only lasts upto an hour or so before I start to feel ill again. Ive had to start carrying food around with me so I can constantly eat!
Tiredness is taking it toll. Finding every spare minute I have I want to sleep, wouldnt be too bad but i'm at work all weekend, so i cant veg out.:hissy:
Something to look forward to: seeing my sis and 4 week old nephew on tues, wont have seen them for nearly two weeks. :happydance:

Still feels weird that i can actually say ' i'm pregnant'. :dohh:

OH is still amazed that you can actually see something, he thought there would just be a blob or something. Bless him, he's read all the info aswell, but hasnt seen a scan in about 20 years!!! Old bugger!!

Noooo :hissy:. I really wanted to do a '12 weeks:happydance:' thread!!!
But OH didnt cancel camping booking, even with all the bad weather, so were still going and no Internet:hissy: Its a :muaha: situation, a week off, alone time (always a good thing!), dog gets plenty of exercise and I get to wear what I believe is my first pair of wellies!!!! (its a simple thing please simple minds kinda thing!!! And there cow wellies!!!)
So, nothing much to report. Still tired, sore BB's and abit of dizziness!
Should hopefully be back at the weekend, where i can catch up for once as it seems as though i never get a chance to catch up with everyones journey's.

Well I made it!!!:happydance: I'm officially past 12 weeks.
I've also managed to get in some baby shopping with th OH. Who has said he's soo excited and loves buying!!! (bless!)
Well I'm the organised type so for 2 days have been baby shopping for bedding. Thought i'd do it abit at a time and dont want to wait till later on.
We went camping, BIG mistake, it was soo cold. We were booked for 4 nights and stayed one! So for the rest of the week have been spending quality time together, and babysitting our nephew for the first time!!
Really need some extra  I'm so tired.

We used to go camping - its great fun but when its cold at night, boy its cold!!!! I convinced my hubby that we should buy a little caravan so we'd be warmer and have no tent to pitch in the wind!!!! He eventually went for it and we love it!!! We're going at half term and for 3 weeks at the start of the summer hols - its gonna be a squeeze in there!!!!
Congrats on 12 weeks and see you in the 2nd tri soon!!!

We'll the camping has been the OH's idea all along, was great last time nice and warm!!
He has said that maybe next time we will try and borrow his sisters new campervan!!
:hissy: As if i'm ever going back there again!!!!:hissy:
Went as usual to OH's sisters house for lunch yesterday and just when I thought it had stopped, 'oh, your getting a fat arse to go with the belly!!'
I was fecking forming!!! How dare they do this again!!!!
Told them i wasnt going next week and would quite happily ask for overtime on sundays and visit my mum in future.
Then last night after helping myself to a  rather large helping of pizza OH thought it would be funny to tell me 'no wonder your getting big!' (meant jokingly as his normal saying is i'm getting a nice little pot before rubbing belly)- well i told him where to stick it too!!!:hissy:
Well got Dr appointment this afternoon, been getting the odd headache and dizzyness recently but its getting to the point where i've pretty much got them all the time now. Best get it checked.

Noticed that they are having new colours for this season and ours isnt being continued!! Mothercare have low stock (dont know if it has anything to do with discontiuing) and gonna pop into fenwick on monday and ask, as these are the only two places local to me who sell our colour!!!

Well i'm moving over to the second tri, already posted in there and its nearly time anyway.
Managed to get my pram sorted today, discovered if you put it on the nursery plan in mothercare they will keep it for you even if its discontinued.
(Although mothercare couldnt say when it was getting discontinued)
Walking round metrocentre you could see people looking at my little bump!!!
It is great girls, when you can see you have a bump! And people dont have that puzzled look!!

OMG, this is just so scary.
My cousin didnt tell anyone but she fell ova yesterday. This morning she shouted of her mam. She was bleeding.
Took her to hopsital - she's in early labour!!! She's 29 weeks!!
Gave her steroid injection - think for baby. And of all things she's gone home!!! Has to go back tomorrow for more steroid injection and check up.
Hospital said she will hav a c-section at one of 2 hospitals depending on what kind of care they think baby is going to need. She still has 10/11 weeks to go!!
Really feel like a good  (she's only about 6 weeks ahead of me). I do hope everything turns out ok.
I think its just brought home how easy it is for something to go wrong - guess I just didnt allow myself to think of these things - too busy baby and car shopping ( well today! )

Wow, dont think weve spent so much money in one afternoon!!
New car :wohoo: and pine furniture for LO's room ( to be delivered a week tomorrow :yipee: )
New car means i dont have to climb in the jeep from tomorrow afternoon, i can just slide into my new BMW ( got to remember - less headroom :dohh: keep smacking my head!!)
My not so little bump feels rather sensitive today - wonder if LO was kicking lots last nite??

:yipee: Another milestone reached!! 24 weeks and 'viable'.
LO is moving so much more, today me and OH even felt him kicking when i was standing up!!! Never really felt LO when not chilling and been up and about.
:hissy::hissy::hissy: Haven't been on properly recently, been rather P**sed off!! Never cried so much over a whole weekend. And it had nothing to do with some good friends getting married.
Picked new car up on Friday and all was fine. Till Friday night and we could ONLY get drivers door to open!! Had to bloody climb over from drivers side to passenger side!!!
Went to BMW garage to be told it was interference with the remote and they had had a few complaints about this. Came home, climbed out, what a sight!!
To cut a very long story short the car will only open all doors once - in the morning!!! Had to climb over into passenger side from drivers side for days, or be stranded. Even been leaving OH and getting the bus when out and about when i could or leaving car open, as climbing has put me in so much pain.
So we are now using the courtesy car till BMW is fixed - so happy i dont have to climb!!!!
 Was in so much pain last nite, i was fearing the worst. Pains in back and stomach - had a bath and went to bed. Just back pain today - not suprised with all of the stupid climbing in and out of the car!!
Definatly going to take it easy the next couple of days - back to work on Monday :hissy:

Wow, a whole lot has happened since i last wrote here.
At work the other nite, just doing general chores around the house - ended up having loads of braxton hicks one after another with no break in between. Really scary experience. It hasnt happened since but started to slow down even more, doesnt help that i'm working the longest shifts and am getting so tired.
Looked after my little nephew at the weekend. Ended up going to OH's family for lunch. Poor baby was having a winge day, he has just getten first 2 teeth, has been constipated and wanted a cuddly day.
Bloody poeple :hissy: basically said i didnt know how to look after a baby!!!
Well they can go F**K themselves!!! :hissy:
I know how to look after my nephew :baby: and will be the best mother to my son. :blue:
OH is at work at the mo, last day shift. He starts night shift on monday permanently. :muaha:
Cant wait for the next 5 1/2 weeks to be over.
Got a txt form work yesterday, asking if i would extend my 4 hr shift to a 12 hour shift!!! To work on my own supporting 5 people!! WTF??? :hissy:
Do they not realise i already do enough?? I work sleep ins a 15 hr shift, 4 of that on my own with 6 people, i may get a few hours sleep and get up to do another 3 hrs before i can go home?? And at the min, i'm doing this twice a week plus an 9 hr day shift on top!! :hissy:
I'm soo mad, cant wait for my leave i'm counting down the days!!!

Well, i thought I'd do a quick post before i go to bed.
OH is on night shift, dog is unsettled and whinging cause his daddy is not here!! :hissy:
Finished work yesterday at 10am, OH picked me up, later went out and seen midwife too. All's going well with LO, measuring fine. She took bloods. Now starting to wonder if I'm low on iron and is that why I'm feeling sooo sooo tired??? Will soon find out if Dr's ring in the next couple of days.
Really don't know how I'm going to cope with just under 5 weeks left at work. Doesn't seem a lot but the long sleep ins, on my feet all day and being mentally drained, its starting to get me down. Its all i can think about at the mo.:cry: < this is all i want to do!!
I haven't thought about anything for LO, nearly bit OH's head off when we went to order the cot bed and he walked away without selecting mattress!!!!
Anyway im going to go to bed got to be up at 6am for another looonnnggg sleep in.

Really wasnt well yesterday, about 7pm started to feel sick, dizzy and had the shakes. Luckly finished work at 8pm and got taxi home. Ended up going straight to bed around 8.15pm.
Still not feeling too good today but a bit better than yesterday.
Wow, new cot bed arrived this morning - so exciting :happydance: OH is going to put it up tomorrow when i'm at work.
Been shopping too, got a lovely sleepsuit, more nappies and some baby milk!!
Got a busy night tonight going to clear the space in the bedroom for the cot, :dishes: :laundry: :hangwashing: and fish to clean out. :iron: the bedding for the cot too, so i can make it up on friday when i get in from work.
Well i think i'll watch Hollyoaks first!!

:yipee:10 WEEKS TO GO!!!!:yipee:
Finished work last Friday and told them i wasn't going in on Sat, still feeling like s**t!!
Not too well still, had bad pains (side of bump low down) but Dr recons it's 'little roo' wriggling away and making muscles sore and i might have a urine infection!!
So back to work on Thurs :dohh: Although only 3 weeks left at work to go!!! :wohoo:
Paid for our pram yesterday, had a play with the one in the shop 2!! OH figured out how to attach the car seat when we (me and OH's DD) couldn't!!
Babies room is pretty much finished - only thing we hav'nt got is the sofa bed - OH keeps changing his mind!! Men, eh!!
Great tip for restless legs especially when your shattered - bouncing/rocking on the birthing/GYM ball!!!

Bless my OH :hugs:
He's now on night shift but continues to get up and take me to and from work, mostly early mornings too and this morning made me brekkie as i was running late. I made a small passing comment about no time and no energy to get everything done, go to work, come home and our flat is spotless!!! :cloud9:
Had midwife appointment on Tues, bump measuring fine, baby fine, mummy fine. LO has his head down and his feet in my ribs - at least he's the right way round  even if it can hurt!!!
Not much else happening, only 5 shifts left at work :happydance:

Blooming heck am i sore!!!
Had hospital appointment for kidney check today, all fine till the 2 Dr's decided to have a feel!!
He was karate chopping my poor bump to show her where the top of the uterus should be at different stages of pregnancy!! Then they were trying to work out which way babba is lying.
Turns out they dissagreed, he said breech and wrote it in my notes, she said head down which is the way he has been for weeks now, although he is still free to turn. Who knows??
Oh, and then he goes and assumes were going to the hospital to have baby?? WTF??? I have 3 kidneys, all working perfectly well, UTI free for at least 3 years inc pregnancy!
So i asked what he thought??
Yup, I'm fine to go to midwife unit - so why all the fuss??
Well Monday my pram arrived :yipee:
3721 3722 3723
Its set up and ...............still in the nursey!!! :wohoo:
I really dont want it to go to my mam's house, i want to keep it here - they're only old wives tales.
Tuesday (yesterday) we had our second antinatal class and tour of the midwife led unit. OMG , it is so nice. Brilliant birthing equiptment - i cant find a pic!! A birthing ball - fixed to the floor (so i cant fall off), a rope harness type thing to hang on to a stool and chair!! It's so relaxed, you get your own room, partners and other children can stay beyond visiting, i could go on....
Finished packing babba's hospital bag tonight, although will probably add to it - preferably blue things. ( when we have our next scan 29th sept, i'm going to confirm babba is a boy before washing blue things!) need to a dummy's too. Just got to pack my bag now!!

So mam decides to tell me about someone who lost their LO  at a few days old and they had kept their pram in the house!!
:dohh: Do not say this to someone pram in the house or not!!! Jesus!!! :hissy:
I mean I've been overly emotional for days and  at the drop of a hat, last thing I need is my mam talking like this.

The time is stating to fly by, every time I go to update this something happens and then i forget :dohh:
So much has happened, had scan for placenta position. All fine, so can have the birth I want at the birth centre, babba is definitely a boy!!
Everything for babba is ready, clothes are washed and ironed.
Sis rang yesterday and is sorting out clothes and bits and bobs for baby 'A'.
He's head down but not engaged yet, so have decided to take a walk everyday with the dog - so i dont become lazy  Started today and dog is covered in mud and had to put my £75 trainers in the wash :dohh: - who in their right mind takes dog for a walk with good trainers on :dohh:
Its all getting so exciting but scary!! Under 4 weeks till 'D' day and babba should be here in less than 6 weeks!!
