Hi all

I'm currently using internet cheapies for testing and they've worked for me in the past, but I'm wondering how many of you had bfn after 14 dpo and was still pregnant?

My theory is that if I was pregnant (I'm 14 dpo and have bfn today - this afternoon) it would have shown up by now considering the tests are one of the most sensitive on the market.

Has any one had experience to the contrary?

Thanks

K

It is possible to still be pregnant, especially if you ovulated later or implantation occured later than the norm, as your HCG levels only start rising after implantation has occured.

With my son I had THE faintest BFP at 16DPO on a Predictor test. The dot was so barely there I had to keep tilting it in certain light to see it.

Thanks

I read a lot of bad press about predictor tests on this site today, since i have about 11 internet cheapies left, my plan is to poas a day - just because I'm a mainac!

Thanks Samantha

I'm assuming the majority of woman would get ther BFP around AF, I just wondering if the HTP are as accurate (where af is conerned) as they claim to be.

I didn't get my BFP until 5 days after AF was due, so probably 17 days or so after OV.

Lots of luck to you :dust: hope you get your BFP soon!! I read a lot of bfp stories online and one lady took her 19 days late till she got a positive. Maybe your cheapies are just not cooperating?! good luck!! :dust:

I agree with PP. I used dollar store cheapies at 14DPO and got the faintest line. I tested that night (after holding for 3 hours) with a FRER and got a definite BFP. Tested again with the dollar store cheapie on 16DPO and while it was a BFP, it wasn't a great, dark BFP. FRER is definitely better than the cheapies. But that could just be because of dye and all that.

Oh no! DON'T give up until you get your :bfp: or :witch: arrives! fingers crossed for you! You simply may not have enough HCG in your system yet! :hugs:

Thanks so much :hugs: I wish the :witch: would just hurry up and arrive or I would get my dream BFP!! I'm all out of HPT's, will have to get more tonight. Thinking I may go get some digi's because I'm driving myself nuts trying to squint for lines that aren't there!

Oh I'm sorry - it's such a sucky feeling isn't it??? I just wish I would get my :bfp: or the :witch: would hurry up and show!! I'm not having any AF like symptoms. The only thing going on is that I'm having these sharp little twinges in my lower abdomen. Unsure what's going on there.... I wish you lots and lots of good luck and :dust: Keep me posted!!!!

Guess everyone's right and we shouldn't give up till either BFP or AF! Or maybe it's best that we do and stop hoping and then be surprised. GAHHH this thing is frustrating!

Try not to give up until AF shows if you are still getting BFN's.... Trust me, I know it's really hard. I have a regular 28 day cycle Today I'm at CD32 - I ovulated on/near March 8th (positive OPK) and AF is 4 days late.... I'm going to give it until Friday and test again... Good luck to you!! I know it's frustrating!

I tested myself with cheapies you get from adsa that are the same as the internet ones, they sell them behind the counter at the pharmacy bit and you get for 99p (bargain!) they claim to be able to tell at 10dpo, i tested at 13 dpo and got a bfn however i forgot to throw the test away and when i glanced at it the next morning it had a slight second line on it, i went straight out and brought a clearblue onestep and got a bfp straight away. i tried a first responce at 12dpo with a previous pregnancy and got a bfn when i was also pregnant then too, with my first pregnancy i tested using clearblue and got a bfp straight away at 12 dpo. hope this helps x

Hi, I'm 16DPO at the moment 2 days late for AF, got a BFN this morning, only been charting part of the month, does any one think I still could be pregnant? or should I give up?

Nice topic!

It seems FF did a stastistical study on this vey same thing. They found that on an average women get BFP on 13.6 days DPO. Also that 12 hours before AF due date is the time when women get BFPs, on an average, according to FF.

Love,
Amy.

Hey all,

AF cycle is 25 - 28 days, 28 being the latest (I am like clockwork, very predictable and regular). I am now on day 29 and no AF (15 days PO)... Tested before AF, when AF was due, and today... twice, but keep getting BFN! I am using IC's so not overly sure of their reliability??? I really want to think I am pregnant but think AF is delayed by being under huge stress/pressure at work, and putting myself under pressure to get pg! However, despite how stressed I have been in the past I have managed to conceive (although it ended in m/c May 08), and I have never ever gone over my latest AF due date, plus I have had symptoms of pregnancy... So many questions and so many possible answers, just prayng for the one I want! Am now thinking/worrying that maybe, for the first time, my cycle is out and I ov late and therefore did not bd at the right time and AF will possibly come later...

Sorry, that was a bit of an offload, was meant to simply say that I am in a similar situation to you. Feel like I've just made a 'dear diary' entry!!! Lol xxx
