I would have posted this sooner, but not had the chance.

Kayleigh has always been a real drama queen - in fact I have a real problem with her lying and making up stories as if she's on stage. She moved up from high school in September to the local college, and she choce both Drama and Perfoming Arts as hre options. It didn't matter how much I argued, reasoned with, did whatever I could, she was determined that this was what she wanted.

Well, we got a letter home on Monday last week that they wanted to show off their work to their families. So I went with my mum and dad (Stu babysat), and was in complete shock!

Kayleigh is always showing me skits and songs from what she has done at school, and tbh I didn't think she was that good.

But after Wednesday night, I'm eating my words! She owned that stage! The minute she got up there and the spotlight came on, she was amazing! I wasn't watching my 14 year old daughter up there.... I was watching a young woman, a very talented actress, dancer and singer. I have had other parents stop me in the street since then saying how good she was. Her Drama teacher collared me after and said he'd hadn't taught anyone before who had such natural talent!

God only knows where she gets it from, but she's gonna be famous one day. You heard it here first girls!

It's amazing how us parents think we can guide our children down the right path and then in the end the child knows best - not all the time but some of the time.

I hope she goes on to do some fantastic work in the future but I hope she lives her childhood first.
