Hi Girls!
:hi:
There are so many TTC products out on the market these days - OPKs, fertility monitors, vitamins, folic acid, HPTs - it's all too confusing!!! That's when it's great to get some advice.
Have you tried any products you would recommend to others?
Do you want to ask the girls about a particular product you are considering buying but are wondering how reliable it is.
Fed up buying expensive OPKs and HPTs, here you could ask for some recommendations!Good luck and baby dust to all!

Okay - what I want to do is to list a couple threads within your super thread - with different product names......
E.g. We can do one for Evening Primrose Oil, One for B6, One for Preseed, One for Agnus Castus, etc etc.....
Then anyone with info/questions on a particular product could just post it under that product thread.....
Am I making sense?
I just can't figure out how to do it - I can only reply to your post.......Basically I am having a filing problem - LOL

We could see if the idea takes off and if not, we could just delete it from the ttc forum. I just thought of the idea because it seems like heaps of people have been asking about things like opks and B6 this month.

So you'd rather have a little sub forum in the TTC area?
Happy to try it if you want it :D

That would be great - only if it's not going to take too long for you to set up. You're probably really busy.

I needed opinions on OPK's. I don't want a digital as of now, so what is everyone's favorites and are there any you hate?

Hello! Welcome to B&B!
Body Basal Temperature works by taking your resting body temperature (this is why they ask you to do it first thing in the morning when you wake up). The body's temperature fluctuates due to the hormones going around it during various times in the month. The one that usually causes a temperature rise in women is progesterone.
From menstruation up until just before you ovulate, your body's temperature is lower and fairly steady (unless you have had an interrupted night's sleep, illness etc). Just after ovulation, your temperature will rise suddenly and noticeably. It will stay high until just before your period is due and then it will fall again. If you are pregnant, your temperature will remain high and may keep rising.
Temping is a good way to find out when you usually ovulate in a month, so you can try to concieve at the right time. It is especially good when used with OPKs - they are ovulation predictor kits. Basically, they are sticks that you pee on (like pregnancy tests), but they measure your LH (lutinising hormone) rise. Just before you ovulate (about 12 - 36 hours before) you detect an LH rise in your body - so bding ('baby dancing' as they call it on ttc forums!) around this time gives a good chance of sperm meeting egg at the right time.
Good luck! I hope you get your BFP soon!
